Chapter 49: Strange Costumes
The yellow-robed monster raised its arms, and its tentacles slowly retracted into its wide sleeves. The yellow sleeves suddenly became swollen, and a stream of purple poisonous juice continuously splashed from the cuffs to the ground. The juice gushed faster and faster, and soon a small river was created in the corridor.
The purple juice did not reach the ankles, soaking the socks of the six agents, but they did not care at all. The water level of the purple river rose slowly, and in another minute or two, it might fill the entire corridor.
"Use that." Violet turned back and said.
The brown-haired female agent stretched out her left arm, and her five fingers turned a faint blue glow, gradually becoming transparent from the fingertips. A light blue ball of light the size of a ping-pong ball rose in her palm. Her thumb, index finger and middle finger went deep into the light ball, and snapped her fingers.
The ball of light immediately broke apart, and a bright white light burst out at the fingertips of the female agent. The spiritual energy flash caused by the light burst was like the flash of a camera, and it took a snapshot of the entire corridor.
After the flash, the purple venomous river and the tentacle-like strange plants clinging to the wall all disappeared out of thin air, and a floating white ghost also appeared behind the yellow-robed monster.
Four white-robed monsters waved steel knives at the agents. They rotated their upper bodies, making the four knives rotate like a meat grinder, but their masks never rotated with their bodies, but looked straight ahead.
The black agent came forward, and his right hand flashed with white light, and a felling axe appeared. The wooden handle of the axe was incomplete, and the lower half seemed to be hastily chopped off by something, so the handle tail was like broken wood chips, and the axe blade emitted a cold light and looked very sharp.
Then, blue light flowed on his body, and then four holy equipment replaced his outfit. He wore a medieval knight's helmet on his head, and a pair of milky white carved gloves on his hands. His jacket was replaced with a red robe of an unknown ancient oriental style, and he wore a pair of broken straw sandals on his feet.
The agent next to him followed closely, and a blue light flashed in his right hand, and a Victorian gentleman's cane with a silver body and a scarlet gem on the head was held in his hand. A white light flashed in his left hand, and a carved silver old revolver appeared out of thin air.
The black agent squatted on the spot, holding the woodcutting axe with both hands and roaring. An inner power burst out of his body, and a red cyclone wrapped around him.
He rushed to the white-robed monster with one step, ignoring the four steel knives cutting on his body, and chopped the monster to the ground with one axe, and then he added another axe to the masked head, chopping it in half.
The agent walked in front of the white-robed monster, and when the monster's steel knife was about to swing down, he pulled the trigger.
The ancient and old revolver roared, and the orange-yellow spiritual energy wave pierced the monster's chest and abdomen when the monster's steel knife was about to hit itself. The monster stumbled and knelt on one knee in front of the split agent.
The split agent slid closer to the monster, and the white light in his right hand flashed again. The pistol disappeared, and this time it turned into an iron hook with bloody rust.
The split agent immediately sent the iron hook into the monster's abdomen, and then pulled it hard. The iron hook dragged the red and yellow intestines out of the monster's abdominal cavity, and a large group of scarlet flowers burst out.
The white-clothed monster didn't even have a chance to make a wailing sound, and was killed by the intestines being emptied alive.
The ponytail punk female agent transformed two small swords in her left and right hands, and replaced her upper body clothes with a shabby rising sun style kimono. There was a skull tattoo on the exposed right shoulder, and a white headband on her head.
"Wild wind!"
She shouted and rushed towards the remaining two white-robed monsters, swinging the two swords alternately around her, spinning around her, and bringing a wave of air around her.
The air wave was like the incarnation of a knife, tearing the two monsters trapped in it into three pieces and leaving deep grooves on the walls on both sides of the aisle.
The yellow-robed monster stretched out its tentacles towards the ponytailed punk female agent and entangled her knife. The next second, a ball of fire suddenly passed over the female agent's head and landed on the tentacles. The flames burned more and more fiercely, and burned off the tentacles of the yellow-robed monster in an instant. It also burned the white-robed ghost who created the illusion.
In the distance, the bald agent had just put on a glove on his left hand full of rings, and the leather glove on his right hand turned into a worn-out linen fingerless glove, and a flame that never went out ignited in his palm.
"Twist it." Violet said.
The five agents slowly approached the yellow-robed monster, and at this moment, a noise came from the entrance of the safe passage.
Several P.W.A.T. members kicked the door open, and several HK416s vented their anger at the yellow-robed monster. The bullets were like a rainstorm, hitting it back again and again. Purple juice splashed out from the bullet holes on the yellow robe. Soon, it fell to the ground, and a large pool of purple juice gathered under it.
The illusion collapsed instantly, and large patches of blood appeared on the surrounding walls. There were also many bodies of investigators on the ground, some without heads, and some were cut in half. The scene was very tragic.
Morgan came to the corridor to meet Violet. Some P.W.A.T. members shook their heads repeatedly when they saw the bloody scene.
"Oh my God, these investigators died so tragically..." Some people couldn't help but whispered.
"They are not lucky enough. The double effect happened on this floor. Look at the door behind us." Violet put her hands on her waist and pointed to the huge crack behind her.
"Damn it, it looks like this written report will be very complicated..." Morgan looked at the huge door with a complicated expression.
"Did you find any survivors?" Violet asked.
Morgan shook his head and turned to look at the dead yellow-robed monster on the ground. "Is this what you are looking for?" He kicked the monster's body and asked.
"Of course not, the target has shifted, it is... going up, like chasing something..." Violet took out a handheld device, as if answering Morgan, but also as if talking to herself.
"No matter where that bastard goes, it's dead. I have a team on the top floor, and they are on guard on the 11th floor." Morgan laughed.
"Don't blame me for not reminding you, Lieutenant, the size of this door has exceeded my expectations. We have to assume that this threat is difficult for us to deal with..." Violet said.
"I never make assumptions, seeing is believing." Morgan interrupted Violet.
"By the way... I suggest you don't just care about the combination of the effects of the relics in the future. At least pick some that don't look weird when worn together..." Morgan looked at the black agent again and added.
After Morgan finished speaking, the P.W.A.T team members also laughed quietly.
The black agent was wearing a medieval bucket helmet, a huge oriental-style red robe, and a pair of straw sandals. He felt a little embarrassed at the moment, so he immediately put away the relics.
The relics came from an unknown ancient era, seemingly close to various eras such as the Middle Ages or the Victorian era of mankind, so each relic has the characteristics of different eras, but in fact these relics have nothing to do with known human history.
Sometimes, for some useful special effects combinations and matching with specific extraordinary skills, it will lead to a situation like the black agent, wearing a powerful relic but looking super stupid.
Effects and beauty cannot be achieved at the same time.
"We will pay attention to it in the future. Maybe the Relic Management Department of the Administration will eventually find a way to help agents customize the appearance of the relic according to the style of VOGUE fashion magazine or superhero comics." The punk female agent with a ponytail said sarcastically, and she also collected the relic.
"Enough, enough. It's time to talk about serious matters. Can you handle this door now?" Violet pulled her head back.
"The door-building team will not come in before the black box space is cleared. But... where is the other side this time?" Morgan spread his hands and looked inside the door curiously.
"Considering the size of this door... Lieutenant, I suggest you send someone to guard here and set up necessary obstacles." Violet said.
"Delta team, this is Lieutenant Morgan, I need you to go to the sixth floor of the building to defend the door. Over." Morgan contacted the team on standby downstairs through the radio.
"Okay, let's continue to go up, that thing can't go far." Violet turned around and said to the agents.
"My people will be here soon. Just find what you want. We will still clean up floor by floor. It's settled." Morgan said.
"I agree." Violet did not object.
Among the corpses on the ground, several bright spots flickered. They were the light of the holy objects, two blue and one white.
Now was not the time to collect holy objects. Moreover, she did not carry a holy object identification device with her. Even if she extracted the holy objects, she could not check the special effects. It was better to wait until everything was over before dealing with it.
Violet led the agents and followed Morgan's team into the safe passage.
