Chapter 137: Encounter at the Bank

The blue van slowly stopped at the entrance of the alley, and Chen Ke, Lucina, Hall and Priskin got out of the car.

"I wish you good luck." The van driver gestured a thumbs out the window, and then drove away impatiently.

The four of them looked at the bank at the entrance of the alley. It was noon, and there were not many people doing business in the bank lobby. There was almost no one in the office area behind the bank, and only a few employees were working at the counter.

"Chen Ke, you go in first to check the situation and count how many people are inside." Lucina said.

"No problem, wait for my signal." Chen Ke made an OK gesture.

"Everything is in the blue pickup truck. Do you remember the tail number?" Hall asked Priskin.

"2217." Priskin nodded.

The four of them took a moment, put on their leather gloves, adjusted the radio and hung up the wire-controlled headphones, then hid their masks inside their coats. After everything was ready, they walked to the bank.

Chen Ke only brought the sacred diamond with him on this trip, but not a gun, because the pistol was basically useless against S.W.A.T.

He and Hall came to the main entrance of the bank, while Lucina and Priskin went directly to the parking lot behind the bank to pick up their things. Hall sat on a bench by the roadside, took out his PSP and pretended, and motioned Chen Ke to come in with his eyes.

Chen Ke pushed the door open and felt a blast of cold air blowing in his face. The bank's air conditioner was turned on really loudly. Since it was a holiday, only one of the three counter windows was open. There were four civilians queuing up in front of the window to handle business.

Chen Ke counted four people behind the counter, three tellers and a manager in a suit. He looked towards the office area at the back and saw a fat man filling water at the water fountain.

Near the back door, a security guard wearing a blue hat was patrolling boredly, without a holster on his waist and holding a baton in his hand.

Chen Ke guessed that the guards in this bank were not equipped with guns. After all, if anything went wrong, S.W.A.T would come to the door within 5 minutes. Other small banks did not have this treatment.

Just looking at it like this wasn't enough. Chen Ke silently lined up at the back of the queue, his eyes flashing with a blue halo.

Within a radius of 100 meters, all moving humanoid life forms are marked with blue outlines, which is enough to cover the entire bank and even nearby small shops.

Suddenly, Chen Ke's eyes were full of blue humanoid figures walking around.

He could only rely on himself to tell the difference. He saw two people in the parking lot, guessing it was Lucina and Priskin, and at the back door, there was a security guard smoking.

There is another person squatting in the bank toilet. In a nearby wall, a human figure is looking at something. It is probably the control room.

The blue halo in his pupils dissipated. Chen Ke walked to the wall, picked up the insurance and financial management magazine on the shelf and covered half of his face. He whispered into the headset: "Three security guards, four civilians, five staff. And One is in the toilet, whose identity is unknown, and the security guard doesn’t have a gun.”

"Thirteen people, there aren't many people outside, we can make a quick decision." Hall replied.

"There should be an alarm button inside the counter. How do we get rid of them?" Lucina's voice came from the earphones.

It was impossible to get in from the outside. The door of the counter opened at the back. If someone acted out of line, the four employees inside would have enough time to sound the alarm.

"I can handle it." Chen Ke said, his murderous trigger can scare ordinary people into silence, long enough for him to rush in and control the person.

"The hall will be left to you and Hall, we are about to take action." Puriskin said.

Chen Ke saw two humanoid silhouettes standing near the back door, seemingly ready to come in.

Just as the four were about to start, Hall's voice came from the earphones: "A female civilian has entered the bank."

"Let her come in. It doesn't hurt to have one more person." Chen Ke said coldly.

"Listen to your signal Chen Ke, I have opened the back door. Diagonally opposite is the control room." Lucina said.

Chen Ke closed the financial magazine and looked at the four clerks at the counter. A murderous aura rose from behind him. He was about to ejaculate when a hand suddenly tapped his shoulder, startling him.

"Link? Is it really you?!" A familiar female voice sounded in his ears.

Chen Ke was startled, turned his head, and saw a purple-haired woman who was a little shorter than himself standing next to him, with a surprised expression on her face.

"You..." Chen Ke's mind suddenly went blank and he couldn't say a word.

"I thought I would never see you again!" Shrili was also a little excited, grabbing Chen Ke's arm with her right hand and shaking it back and forth.

"Chen...what happened? I heard a woman talking to you." Lucina's voice sounded a little unhappy.

In Shreli's eyes, he was an investigator, and he was caught by the contract demon in the hall of Xijin Building and entered the light rift...

The postman must not let anyone know about this.

"Ms. Shreli, are you Miss Shreli? I'm Borick who called you!" The manager came out from the back of the office area and greeted Shreli.

Shreli nodded to the manager, turned back and said to Chen Ke: "Wait for me a moment, I'm going to go in to sign a contract, you must wait for me."

Chen Ke nodded helplessly and watched her follow the manager into the manager's office.

"Chen Ke, we're going in!" Lucina said.

"Wait! Wait! Wait until she leaves!" Chen Ke said hurriedly, turned around and picked up the financial magazine again and sat on a stool beside him.

"It's almost 12 o'clock, we don't have much time!" Lucina said angrily.

"Wait a little longer Lucina... Don't be impatient..." Chen Ke was sweating.

"Okay Chen Ke, I'll ask for her, who is that woman?" Hall asked.

"I met her in a nightclub, not very familiar, only once." Chen Ke lied.

"I guess your relationship is not ordinary." Hall said.

Chen Ke activated his spiritual vision and looked at the back door. A woman's outline was walking around the door, and a man's outline was blocking the door.

Chen Ke didn't let her go because he had met Shreli once, but because Shreli had seen her face.

He was wearing a gray suit, so even if he wore a mask, Shreli would recognize him immediately.

The postman didn't kill civilians, and Chen Ke didn't want to kill people for no reason. In order to keep his actions from being exposed, he could only wait until Shreli left.

"Chen Ke, another female civilian is going in." Hall said.

"I bet it's another one he knows." Lucina mocked.

Chen Ke looked up at the door nervously, and saw a woman with long dark brown hair pushing the door in. She was wearing a brown leather jacket and black jeans, and she looked very capable.

The woman looked at the bank counter. The guy who was handling the business seemed to have some disputes with the teller. She shook her head helplessly, looked at the rows of seats on the other side, and found Chen Ke holding a financial magazine.

Chen Ke looked into her eyes, and suddenly felt that all the hairs on his body stood up.

"Chen Ke, what a coincidence." Diana smiled.
