Chapter 117 The Mysterious IKEA
Of course, some of them have very different years than mine, like old Jack, who said he entered the supermarket when the United States became independent. My god, how many years has this supermarket existed?
And there is something very strange, that is, they all enter IKEA from different places, and the place names they say are all different. In short, they are completely different from me.
Is it not that there are many such IKEA in the world?
Or does this IKEA move around by itself?
But the more I think about it, the more I can explain some things. No one comes to find us missing people because we are not from the same place. This sounds a bit strange (maybe that is the slogan of this place) but could it be that these people are from different dimensions? Reality? Whatever you want to call it. I have watched a lot of TV shows so I know some of these sayings.
Sarah comes from a place where there is no Declaration of Independence.
Wasim comes from a place where no space station has been launched. If everyone comes from the same place, even if it looks like the same place, it may cause a huge panic about missing people.
But there is no large-scale search. We are probably just a small case, just one or two missing people in the world every day.
Okay. Interesting thought exercise.
I just realized that yesterday was the six-month anniversary of my arrival here.
I don't know if Ikea sells party hats. It's pretty much the same here.
More new people show up, one every few weeks.
Food supplies go up and down, but we haven't had any major shortages.
Occasionally there's a guest from another nearby town, usually Checkout or Aisle 630.
We greet each other, and occasionally trade when we're particularly short.
It's kind of comforting, in a way. Reminds us that we're not alone, some kind of small civilization. Sometimes they bring medical supplies. Apparently there's a pharmacy a few towns over from Checkout that restocks from time to time, so they share when they can.
I've never heard of a pharmacy in Ikea, but it wouldn't be surprising if someone discovered an Ikea organ harvesting lab at this point. It would explain the origins of the employees.
Speaking of our faceless jailers, their attacks have been getting more frequent lately.
Now three or four a week, twice as many as before.
No idea where they're coming from, or why the attacks are getting worse.
A few weeks ago we tried to follow them during the day, me and Sarah. Trying to see if they could lead us to the staff room or something. But it didn't go anywhere, just randomly wandered the hallways. We returned with no success.
We reinforced the walls, tried to better arm ourselves. There must be no shortage of materials. Wasim made more crossbows, but they were still too ineffective.
It's too bad that IKEA doesn't work.
[Note: No new people entered IKEA during the time period of this diary]
The attacks are getting pretty serious now. They're coming almost every night, and there are so many employees that the bodies are piling up to the point where others can crawl through the walls. I think we're in big trouble.
Exchange Town is, well...
I think Exchange Town is done. We got a good beating last night. Not many casualties, but the walls are broken. We finally figured out why the attacks are escalating. There's a piece of employee stuck in a box of supplies. No idea how it happened but apparently the piece is as attractive to them as the whole body. But it's too late anyway, too many bodies to move and the walls to repair before nightfall. Candace has called a meeting. I doubt there would be talk of abandoning Exchange Town, maybe trying to find shelter in Checkout Town.
But it's too late. I don't think we have time to do it. Maybe one of us can do it. After all, I was fine in the dark for the first week here. But how lucky can I be after that?
I'm just writing it as a kind of ending, I think. For me, or anyone who finds this. This is the last diary, and I hope that whoever reads it can escape this place.
What am I most afraid of? I'm afraid of dying tonight and waking up here again in the morning.
[Note: This is the last diary. It is speculated that while trying to reach the "Checkout" settlement, he was chased by the "employee" instance and got separated from the others, and just came to the exit. ]
The diary ends here.
Based on this diary, the containment learned more about IKEA.
There are more problems than people think.
Maybe this IKEA supermarket has existed for many years and will appear randomly in different places, or it actually exists in many places, but no one has discovered it.
But whether it will appear in different universes and connect people from different universes is unknown.
"No one knows how many people are alive in this supermarket, what kind of civilization has been formed, what the origin of the monsters is, and why it is infinite space."
"What the shelter can do is to acquire the area around this supermarket and prevent anyone from approaching. If someone comes out, we must ask all the questions and then erase their memory and find a way to keep them alive. If an employee runs out, he must be killed immediately."
"Our research on IKEA has not stopped."
The video stops here.
Everyone is stunned.
Strange: "How is this possible! This supermarket can actually connect people from different universes! Impossible!"
Tony Stark: "But if it's not like this, how do you explain that some people don't know about the International Space Station, Apollo moon landing, who is the president, etc.? According to the description, they are not that kind of old people."
Jiraiya: "It looks so confusing. It's just a supermarket, why is it so strange!"
Odin: "This is probably the product of some god. Human power can't make such a thing."
When Odin said this, he couldn't help but take a breath. Being able to connect people in different universes, this is probably something that only evil gods at the multiverse level can do.
But why make such a supermarket?
Usopp: "The people trapped inside are so pitiful. I hope they can get out one day."
Bruce Wayne: "I think if they really come out, it may cause a lot of trouble."
Usopp: "Huh?"
Seeing Bruce Wayne say this, everyone else was very confused.
Bruce Wayne: "Think about how long the people trapped inside have been out of touch with the outside world, and they come from different universes, so their knowledge is completely different. If they return to the real world, can they still live a normal life?"
Tony Stark: "Yes, they live almost like primitive people in there. If they suddenly return to modern society, I'm afraid they can't keep up in all aspects, leading to various troubles."
Zhan Guo: "That's true, but even if that's the case, it's impossible not to let them out, we can teach them well and then deal with them."
Bruce Wayne: "That's right."
