All-Professional Master of Darkness

Chapter 239 The Worried Daddy (Part 1)

The pace of the Demon Fortress is very fast. It is different from Lugaoin and Kurast Harbor. This is basically a world of professionals. Everyone seizes every minute and every second to deal with their own personal affairs, and then packs up and walks on the teleportation array again.

This is Lan Wu’s first impression of the Demon Fortress.

However, when he followed the paladin named Boya to the teleportation array next to the market again, Lan Wu found that his understanding of the Demon Fortress was only superficial.

"Sorry, our teammates haven't arrived yet." Boya smiled awkwardly. Being unpunctual in front of new team members is the worst disaster in the Demon Fortress. Few people are willing to join a team that is unpunctual. It's a waste of time.

Lan Wu shook his head and didn't take it to heart. It's just waiting for someone, it won't delay anything. Not long after, he was thinking about what professional skill weapon to build next, and suddenly heard Boya yelling angrily.

"Vina, we are going on an adventure, not camping."

Looking back, Lan Wu was speechless. He saw an incredible and strange thing. The Vina that Boya mentioned, a petite female mage, was carrying a backpack that was bigger than her, and was struggling to move over here.

She was indeed moving over here.

I don’t know what was in that backpack, but it was obviously very heavy. And that Vina was petite, and she was not a mage known for her strength. Such a heavy backpack made her legs unable to straighten up, as if she only needed a breath to become the last straw that broke the camel’s back.

“I’m being cautious!” Vina refuted righteously, and then shouted with a bitter face: “Come and help me quickly. I have no strength.”

“I hope you don’t mind, she is a high-level ice mage, very practical.” Boya turned around, explained awkwardly, and then hurried over, took the heavy huge backpack and put it on his back.

Lan Wu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. All professionals have space bags, and even more than one. Everything you need when going out for adventure can be easily brought with you. Who has ever seen someone sew a huge backpack specifically to carry things?

"This is our new teammate... Uh, sorry, your name..." Boya smiled awkwardly, feeling embarrassed. This time, he was in a hurry to introduce Lan Wu to his teammates, but he forgot to ask his name.

"Lan Wu." Lan Wu smiled and took the initiative to say his name.

"My name is Vina, welcome to join our team. Believe me, we are the best team, no one else." Vina praised the team seriously, and Boya, who was standing next to her, was so embarrassed that he wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

"Sorry, there is still one person who hasn't arrived." Boya quickly interrupted Vina's boasting, it was too embarrassing.

"It's okay." Lan Wu shook his head and didn't take it to heart. This team is very weird. But it doesn't matter. The weirder the team, the better it can hide its weirdness. But then again, it's really lucky to meet such a weird team.

Hearing Lan Wu say this, Boya's heart finally settled down. There is no way, with two such weird teammates, no one is willing to join this team anymore. It's rare to meet a professional who can be seen at a glance that it's the first time to come to the Demon Fortress. Finally, the trick was successful.

After waiting for about half an hour, Boya's heart was lifted up again. It's bad. Where did that guy take the mercenary? It doesn't take so long to roll the sheets. What if the new team member gets impatient and leaves, how can we make up the minimum standard of a four-person team. The Despair Plain is not something that three professionals plus a mercenary can conquer.

Boya secretly glanced at Lan Wu and felt relieved. This new team member is patient and has not shown an impatient expression. He couldn't help but curse inwardly: "Damn bastard."

At this time, his eyes lit up and he quickly waved and shouted: "Vorod, Taylor, this way."

Lan Wu was shocked when he heard Boya shouting. Is there really such a coincidence in the world? He quickly followed Boya's gaze. He was so shocked that he almost popped his eyes out of his sockets.

This... is this the son of doom, Volod and Roger Taylor?

I saw Volod and Taylor walking towards this side, talking and laughing. It seems that the two have obviously broken through the last line of defense and have reached the point of being inseparable. But these two people are not so annoying in the Rogue Camp.

Lan Wu immediately decided to pretend that he didn't know him, it was embarrassing. Volod had seen himself covered with runes and fifteen small amulets swirling around him. Now there is a crystal eye on his forehead. Anyone would think he is a different person. But then again, I didn't see that these two people were introverted before, embarrassed in front of acquaintances, but so unrestrained outside.

"Huh?" Volod suddenly saw Lan Wu and immediately widened his eyes, then looked up and down suspiciously, and then hesitantly introduced himself: "Vorod, the necromancer. She is my wife and my mercenary."

"He is not Lan Wu. It looks like." Taylor snuggled in Volod's arms like a little woman, whispering softly.

Lan Wu almost burst out laughing. Is this still the Taylor who flirted with Volod? It seems that Volod has mastered his wife and has turned the wild little wildcat into a docile little kitten.

"Uh... his name is Lan..." Boya scratched his head blankly and subconsciously introduced Lan Wu to Volod and Taylor.

"Lannotus, my name is Lannotus." Lan Wu quickly interrupted Boya, causing Boya and Vina to be stunned, not knowing why he had to hide his name.

After thinking about it, Boya felt that this matter was very serious. The most important point of going out for adventure is mutual trust. Without trust, there is no way to fight a bloody way out of the endless demons. So he coughed twice and said, "Uh... this, our team is very small and requires absolute trust, so..."

Lan Wu heard it. He chuckled and said meaningfully, "Of course, I like this kind of team. So don't worry about me."

"But..." Boya hesitated for a moment, looked at Lan Wu in embarrassment, and then looked at Volod and the others.

"I admire this couple..." Lan Wu smiled.

"It's a couple." Volod corrected righteously.

"Yes, I admire this couple. They remind me of my lover." Lan Wu smiled and talked nonsense.

"Well... okay." Boya and Vina looked at each other, confused and walked towards the teleportation array first.

Lan Wu was not in a hurry to catch up. After Volod and the others caught up, he took out the giant war staff and followed. Volod had seen him summon Lan Ya and the other three.

Pretending to be a summoning necromancer, he would be exposed in battle. No summoning necromancer can only summon so many skeletons. The giant war staff was completed with the help of Chasi and Farah, and no one in the Rogue camp knew that he had such a skill weapon. Pretending to be a fire mage is perfect.

The five people walked into the teleportation array, and a white light flashed. When they looked around again, they had arrived at a depressing plain.

The Despair Plains have arrived.
