I’ll Quit Being a God

Comments on the Launch

Hello everyone, I am Jiuxian. I didn’t expect to meet you again in Hedgehog Cat. The fate in the world is really amazing.

As expected, every encounter between people is a repetition after a long separation...hhhhh...

Regarding this book, it is actually not easy to get to where it is today. Let’s talk about it before it is put on the shelves.

Many friends are urging me in the book review area and in the comments every day...ah, Jiuxian GKD... Jiuxian, please give a reward... Jiuxian, please update more...

To be honest, I actually want to update more and I also want to give a reward.

If I give a reward, wouldn’t it be great to make a lot of money?

It’s a pity that I have the will but not the strength...

Friends who have read my previous books should be able to see that Lu Heng’s story is completely different from the stories I wrote before. The difference in writing style can even be said to be the level of deleting the account and starting over, reincarnating and refining.

My previous writing style was the fast-paced writing I wrote after studying at Xlu, learning the fast pace and mixing in some of my own things. I named it the desperate style.

The characteristics of this style of writing are to use strong plot conflicts and a breathtakingly fast pace to grab the reader's attention at the beginning and drag the reader to follow the plot. But if you pay too much attention to the fast pace, you will miss some details.

For example, the story I wrote before was an empty skeleton painted with bright colors. There were not many flesh and blood details, only the main trunk, but it could attract the eye with bright colors and exaggerated shapes.

However, this writing method has its limits.

When I wrote "There is a Problem in This World", the level of the text was far inferior to that of "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts" later.

Now when I look back at these two books, even I can't find too many faults in the text details of "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts". But "There is a Problem in This World" is different.

When I looked back at "There's Something Wrong with This World", I saw nonsense that didn't distinguish between the main and the secondary, as well as various flaws that affected the reading experience. Apart from the rhythm of the plot, there was almost nothing good about it.

Theoretically, the level of "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts" is far higher than "There's Something Wrong with This World", but the results did not exceed it by much.

"There's Something Wrong with This World" had an average subscription of 18,000 during its serialization, while "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts", which is much stronger than it, only had 22,000... I once thought that this was because of the website. Because except for the top students, the books with the highest subscriptions on Shuke only had an average subscription of more than 20,000.

I thought I had hit the subscription ceiling of Shuke, so the results could not be better.

But not long after, reality gave me two hard slaps in the face.

First, a Type-Moon fan fiction with a first order of 20,000 broke the first order record of Shuke, and the starting point exceeded my end point.

Then another Type-Moon fan fiction with a first order of 40,000 broke the first order record of the entire online literary circle... Many readers may not know what this concept is.

Let me put it this way, all the known online writing websites, all the known online writing masters, including the well-known Chen Dong, Fanqie, and Squid... None of these masters have achieved 40,000 first orders for their new books.

Such a terrifying result completely stunned me. At that time, I deeply understood that it was not Shuke that was bad, but I was too bad.

I did not touch the ceiling of Shuke, but my own ceiling. Shuke's ceiling was higher than I thought.

If I had not sought change, 20,000 average orders would probably be the limit I could reach.

So after the completion of "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts", I began to seek a breakthrough. I went through a period of confusion for half a year. I was like a headless fly, bumping around everywhere, writing a lot of waste beginnings, but I couldn't find a direction at all.

It's said to break through, but in which direction to break through...

In the end, I decided to study the current popular books at X point, and I was lucky enough to see a new direction that I had never seen before in one of the books.

"Lan Ke Qi Yuan", this book does not have the traditional Xianxia type of intrigue and fighting, nor the excitement of killing and seizing treasures. The whole book tells the story in a very relaxed and peaceful manner, and the style is closer to the traditional strange novels.

So I decided to try in this direction, to try to write a story without too much fireworks, with an overall relaxed and plain style, which makes people feel very comfortable to read.

But this kind of writing method, not to mention how difficult it is, its style is completely contrary to the writing habits I cultivated before.

I used to write very quickly and quickly, and the plot was always very exciting.

But now I have to write very slowly and slowly, without too much excitement.

So every time I open the writing software, I have schizophrenia.

My body subconsciously wants to go faster and faster, but my brain has to desperately stop the body and ask it to go slower and slower...

When I wrote "There is a Problem in This World", I wrote 3,000 words in an hour, easily, and the highest record of typing words was 40,000 words a day.

When I was writing "Girlfriends Are All Ghosts", I wrote more than 2,000 words an hour, and I still had some energy left. My highest record was nearly 30,000 words a day.

But now I am writing this story about Lu Heng, and I am writing less than 1,500 words an hour, which is half dead... Damn... I write 10,000 words a day like drinking water, when have I ever suffered such humiliation?

Can't even write 2,000 words in an hour? In the online literary circle, this can be said to be a third-level cripple!

But the difficulty of writing this book is really greater than I imagined.

First, in order to maintain that "charm", I must constantly modify the details of the text, remove all colloquial words, but not too classical Chinese. It must be written in a semi-literary style, but it must be just the right semi-literary style.

Secondly, the plots I have written so far are actually very simple.

If you look back, in fact, each major plot and each chapter can be summarized in just one sentence, which is not complicated at all.

But what I have to do is to write such a simple plot in detail and in a full way, and it must be written in a humorous and interesting way, not boring and dull. This difficulty is so high that I almost want to scratch my head.

Now every two or three hundred words I write, I have to stop and look at the previous content, while modifying the details of the text, while brewing the subsequent content, the speed is so slow that it is outrageous.

Although as I gradually get used to this writing method, the speed of typing has gradually increased. Now I can write about 1,500 words in an hour... but I am still a third-level cripple!

Ahem...

In short, I will try my best to update.

And I will update as much as possible without affecting the level of writing.

After all, I have to make a living. The more I write, the more I earn. I also hope that I can write more.

So I hope that everyone can be as patient as possible and support me.

It's not that I don't want to be fast, but I can't do it!

Of course, even a third-level cripple like me has naturally prepared a few chapters in order to be put on the shelves.

Although I can't compare with those big guys who burst out ten chapters a day, I should still be able to update five chapters tomorrow.

Now, I have prepared three chapters in reserve! And I am still working hard to save up, and strive to update five chapters tomorrow.

So, five chapters tomorrow! It will be updated around eleven o'clock, everyone come and subscribe!

I, a third-level cripple online writer, need your care!
