Chapter 366 Boarding the Hogwarts Express (Modified)
Perhaps all the good weather was consumed during the summer vacation, and it rained heavily the night before school started.
The raindrops pattered on the roof, mixed with the shrill whistling and moaning of the strong wind.
The people in the room were extremely busy. Half-packed boxes were spread out on the floor, filled with things that the school had notified them to bring.
"Standard Spells, Level 4" written by Miranda Gorshak, the youngest of nine sisters in the poor Gorshak family, who became a spell book writer, is placed at the top. In addition, there is a new quill pen, twelve rolls of parchment, and the things that need to be added to the raw material box for mixing potions——
But at this time, Allen was in a daze facing several robes and gowns.
"Mom, are you sure this is for me to take to school and not for some palace dinner?" Allen looked at the purple velvet robe with white ruffles and couldn't laugh or cry.
"This is a dress robe!" Morgan Le Fay obviously misunderstood what Allen meant. "The list issued by your school says that you should prepare a dress robe this year...it is a robe worn on formal occasions."
"Mom, of course I know that dresses are worn on formal occasions, but this one is too exaggerated." Allen looked at his mother suspiciously. He had reason to suspect that his mother must have a lot of other dresses.
Sure enough, Morgan Le Fay brought in several more dresses of different colors from outside the door.
"This is the palace style that is very popular recently!" Morgan Le Fay handed a dark green one of the same style to Allen.
"This is the popular court style from a hundred years ago," Allen retorted to his mother in his heart but did not dare to say it to her face. He could only shake his head and refused to accept it: "I think H94 is more suitable for the dance than them."
"Okay." Mrs. Harris put away the robes with a look of regret, "Then, there is also a black one, you will definitely like it."
Allen looked at Morgan le Fay with suspicion.
"Although this one is a bit standard, it should meet your requirements. What do you mean by wearing H94?"
The clothes that Mrs. Harris took out again could almost be described as plain compared to the previous ones. However, the clothes were completely hand-made and made with exquisite workmanship, stitch by stitch, meticulously crafted and seamless. To the touch, that comfortable feeling penetrates almost instantly into every cell of the body.
Alan took it silently, folded it neatly, and put it in the box.
Morgan Le Fay smiled, hugged several other disliked dresses, and left the room - knowing her son's preferences, she deliberately took a few sets of over-the-top dresses first so that Allen could quickly accept them. ….
When Allen woke up the next morning, heavy rain was still pounding against the window.
At Morgan le Fay's insistence, he had to go back to his room and put on another sweater.
But he had been keeping an eye out for messages from the Ministry of Magic. Allen was extremely strange. According to his memory, at least by this time, news of Moody's accident should have come?
Why is there no movement at all?
What happened?
Allen was hesitant and still did not tell Mr. Harris that Moody might be impersonated by Crouch Jr.
He decided to go to the school to meet with Moody to confirm whether it was true or not.
"It's almost time, you have to go quickly - I wish you all the best this term, children." Morgan le Fay said to Alan, Hermione and Luna while putting a cloak on Hermione's head. On the shoulder, "Honey, you are wearing too little."
When the three Apparated to King's Cross Station, rain poured down on them.
Allen immediately took out his umbrella, but nevertheless, he was soaked to the skin as they carried the suitcase across the busy street, into the station, through the wall, and onto Platform 9.
For Alan, boarding the Hogwarts Express was already a familiar thing.
But this year feels very different from previous years.
The Hogwarts Express was parked there, a crimson steam locomotive that was spewing thick smoke.
Looking through the thick smoke, the many Hogwarts students and parents on the platform seemed like dark ghosts.
When Allen walked into it, these ghosts immediately started rolling.
"Look, Alan Harris." An extremely excited child's voice sounded.
"Alan Harris! Where is he?"
"Is it that Allen?"
The platform was crowded with people, and everyone looked up, hoping to see his appearance clearly.
Allen struggled to get through the enthusiastic crowd, boarded the train, and started looking for seats. Soon, they moved their luggage into a box on the train.
The engine's pistons hissed loudly and the train started moving.
"Tell us what happened at Hogwarts! What charter did they change?"
Dense raindrops pattered against the glass window, but even so, the shouts from outside could be clearly heard.
They are the Weasley twins.
Alan knew exactly what they were asking, and so did one other person.
"Ha, you don't know?" a protracted voice sounded.
"Are you eavesdropping on our conversation?" Ron's angry voice sounded.
"You are shouting so loudly, there is no need to eavesdrop, okay?" Draco Malfoy shouted disdainfully.
"However, you will definitely participate. After all, one is a poor guy and lacks money; the other never misses an opportunity to show off." Malfoy made a series of loud jeers, and his two followers, Crabbe and Gao Er also giggled, his voice was rough and harsh.
"What are you talking about?" Ron asked angrily.
"Your father and your brother both work in the Ministry of Magic. You don't know? Oh my God, my father told me a long time ago...I heard it from Mr. Owen Harris. Anyway, my father is in contact with all the people. Senior figures in the Ministry of Magic... your father's rank is probably too low and he has no right to know, Weasley... yes, that's right... they probably never talk about important topics in front of him..."
Malfoy laughed loudly again.
Allen stood up and opened the box door, "Draco, what I told you before was that you met your crush and forgot about it?"
Malfoy's laughter stopped suddenly, he stopped smiling, straightened his body, and stood next to Allen.
"Ha, Malfoy, you have now become Allen's follower, someone else's lackey?" Ron also shouted in a long voice, "That's fine, Allen's reputation is so big now, be his dog You are really suitable."
"Ron, Alan is helping us." Harry heard Alan's name and said something fair, which also made Alan give up his refutation of Ron's provocative behavior.
But Harry was also quite sad in his heart. He once had a close relationship with Alan like Malfoy.
Ron stood up, walked into the empty box next to him, and slammed the door of the box hard. He used so much force that the glass on the door was broken.
As the train kept going north, the rain became heavier and heavier. The sky was dark and the car windows were covered with condensation, so lanterns were lit in broad daylight. Alas, the lunch trolley rolled down the aisle, and Alan bought a large stack of cauldron-shaped cakes for everyone to share.
