Chapter 110 Snowhoof City
"This looks like some kind of curse!" Enzo looked over, his eyes flashing with a thoughtful gleam.
In his mind, the chip quickly searched for information about the runes on the ground. Through comparison, Enzo learned that everything in front of him was indeed very similar to some ancient curse witchcraft.
"Someone used curse witchcraft to control this body to attack me!"
"And after failing, everything will be destroyed immediately."
Enzo stroked his chin, his eyes flickering slightly.
"If the troubles encountered before were just some accidents, then tonight's attack might be someone deliberately targeting me."
"There is only one day to Snow Hoof City, and this happened now."
"It seems that this mission is not as simple as imagined!" Enzo sighed in his heart, and his face became more solemn.
The border of the Silver Deer Kingdom, Snow Hoof City.
In the early morning, the sky in the distance turned white, and the morning sun rose slowly, and the light golden light sprinkled on the earth, leaving a touch of golden color on the stone brick ground.
Hundreds of guards dressed in silver-white armor, holding spears, stood in a neat line.
In front of them were several nobles in gorgeous clothes. Standing in the front was a thin young man with a handsome face but a pale complexion.
Not far away, a carriage slowly appeared on the road ahead.
"Here we come." The handsome young man's eyes lit up and he quickly straightened his collar.
Dias drove the carriage and slowly came to the city gate.
"Excuse me, are you the wizard from [Crow Phantom]?" Seeing the carriage stop, the handsome young man hurriedly stepped forward and asked respectfully.
Enzo opened the door and walked out.
He shook his wrinkled grey robe, looked at the handsome young man, and said calmly, "It's me."
"Hello, Master Wizard." The handsome young man bowed and introduced himself, "I am Enos, the Lord of Snow Hoof City. I came here to greet you under the order of Master Wizard Orlanton."
"Orlanton? Are you an expatriate from the academy stationed in Snow Hoof City?" Enzo nodded slightly and said, "Lead the way."
Inos smiled and waved, and the nobles and guards behind him quickly made way for Enzo's carriage to enter the city gate.
Entering Snow Hoof City, Enzo sat in the carriage and looked around.
The economy here seems to be relatively prosperous, and even the common people have ruddy faces, but out of fear of the aristocracy, people kneel down wherever the carriage goes.
After crossing a main road, Enzo came to a castle.
"Lord Orlanton has specially prepared a banquet for you. Please follow me." Enos stood respectfully beside the carriage, stretched out an arm, and motioned Enzo to enter the castle.
"Welcome, my friend."
Following Enos into the castle, Enzo saw a figure coming towards him.
"I am Orlanton, an expatriate wizard apprentice stationed in Snowhoof City."
Orlanton introduced himself with a smile. He was wearing a white robe and his body was a little bloated, but he exuded a magical fluctuation belonging to a third-level wizard apprentice.
"Hello, Senior Orlanton." Enzo bowed gently.
The status of wizard apprentices is equal. Although there is still a level gap between Enzo and Orlanton, the former is still very young and has unlimited possibilities in the future, while the latter, although he maintains a middle-aged appearance, is actually close to a hundred years old.
"Did you lose the possibility of being promoted to a formal wizard, so you were sent to the secular world by the academy?"
Enzo shook his head secretly in his heart. He could feel a decadent breath from Orlanton, and the magic fluctuations belonging to the third-level apprentice were not very strong.
"I have prepared a banquet for you, come with me." Orlanton patted Enzo's shoulder, showing his friendliness.
Enzo followed Orlanton all the way to the center of the castle.
In the magnificent hall, a huge crystal lamp was hung upside down on the top. On the long table covered with red cloth, silver plates were filled with various delicacies, and the mellow aroma of red wine filled the air.
"Come, sit here." Orlanton sat in the main seat and arranged Enzo next to him with enthusiasm.
After the two wizard apprentices sat down, the nobles in the hall pulled out their chairs. Enos clapped his hands, and the surrounding bards immediately plucked the harp, making a melodious sound, and the banquet officially began.
"How long has Senior Orlanton been stationed in Snowhoof City?" Enzo asked casually while toasting.
"Oh, twenty years have passed in a flash." Orlanton took a sip of the red wine in the glass and sighed, "I have been away from [Crow Phantom] for so long. Now when I think back to my school experience, I still miss it a little!"
"Twenty years? After being stationed in Snowhoof City for so long, Senior must have experienced more than one lord." Enzo asked curiously.
Orlanton suddenly paused, a trace of unnaturalness flashed across his face, and then he returned to normal, chuckling, "From the beginning of being stationed in Snowhoof City to now, I have experienced three city lords."
"Seeing that Enos is not very old, how long has he taken over the position of lord?" Enzo asked with a flash of his eyes.
"To be honest, Lord Enzo, I have only been the lord for three months." Enos quickly answered, with a bitter look on his face, and sighed, "My father died unexpectedly when he was in his prime, so I have to take over the position of lord."
"Oh? The old city lord just passed away?" Enzo raised his eyebrows and said, "Don't you have a brother or sister?"
"Actually, I do have a brother, but..." Enos seemed to recall some bad memories, his face was ugly, and he was about to continue talking, but was interrupted by Orlanton.
"Don't mention the messy things anymore!" Orlanton warned with his eyes, and scolded: "I hate the intrigues between you mortals the most, it's disgusting!"
"Yes, sir." Enos was startled and quickly closed his mouth.
"Oh, don't mind, Enzo." Orlanton turned his head and said gently: "These are all calculations among mortals. In order to fight for power and profit, the means are dirty, don't pay attention to them."
Enzo's heart moved, but his face remained calm.
"In that case, let's change the topic." He smiled and didn't continue to ask.
"Haha, okay, let's talk about the college." Orlanton laughed and began to talk about some interesting things about his school days. Enzo nodded frequently and interjected a sentence or two from time to time.
Amidst the laughter, the banquet gradually came to an end.
Orlandon and Enzo drank a lot of red wine. Since neither of them used magic to resist, they both seemed a little drunk. Orlandon left with the help of the maid, and Enos also quickly arranged a place for Enzo to stay.
