Spoiling History: Starting From the Three Kingdoms

Chapter 168 The Heaven Is Dead Stone

"When I entered Shu, I attacked Luo County and was shot and killed."

Pang Tong was also able to let go. He looked embarrassed and looked up at the sky, but he still told the ending.

Then, fearing the embarrassment of Zhang Song who was trying to ease the atmosphere, he took the initiative to say:

"Isn't the strategy of dividing the people into grades the same as the hereditary leadership of Jiangdong?"

"They are all the bad strategies of Sun Quan and Jiangdong!"

When he was in Jiangdong, Pang Tong served Zhou Yu instead of Sun Quan, so he had no feelings for the lord of Jiangdong, and just said it straightforwardly:

"Kong Ming's governance of Shuzhong is a strategy of increasing revenue, using Shu brocade as bait, selling it in China and even in Shendu."

"Sun Quan's governance of Jiangdong is a strategy of saving money, using the people and private soldiers to feed the tigers of the rich and powerful, so that he can drive them."

Zhao Yun remembered Guangmu's previous judgment of Kong Ming, and couldn't help but say to himself:

"The job of the military advisor is to make the people live better."

"The job of Sun Hou and the rich and powerful is to leave the people with no way to live."

Liu Bei was quite emotional: "In this way, I have benefited a lot from Kong Ming and A Dou."

After all, it seems that the future generations think that he, Liu Bei, is a top figure because he treats the people well.

What does the governance of Ji Han have to do with him? He lost everything after becoming emperor.

Ji Han's governance relied on the talent of Kong Ming and the kindness of A Dou, which only showed the name of Zhaolie.

Liu Bei, who thought more clearly, said casually:

"Win the hearts of the people, then win the people, win the people, then win the world."

[The people's livelihood of Cao Wei is more complicated. To be precise, there are two key words:

Tuntian and currency.

In the Three Kingdoms era, those who can survive are basically those who have exhausted the people's sustainability.

The currency history of Cao Wei is relatively simple. In the same year of the Battle of Chibi, Cao Cao led his army south and felt that the unification of the world was just around the corner, so he opened champagne at halftime and wanted to abolish Dong Zhuo's old coins and cast Wuzhu coins.

As a result, Boss Cao was unlucky that year. In the Battle of Chibi, he was killed by Zhou Gongjin with a set of silky small combos and was pressed to the ground and beaten.

Dong Zhuo's old money was abolished in currency, but no one used the new money because "there was not much money".

Two years after Cao Pi ascended the throne, he also tried to restore the Wuzhu coin, but it was in vain. It was not until 227 that Cao Rui restored the Wuzhu coin successfully.

Why was it so bumpy? Because the military farming almost destroyed people's livelihood.

The modern description of currency is very clear:

With the development of productivity, when there was a division of labor between animal husbandry and agriculture, barter began to occur.

Only when productivity continued to develop and there was a division of labor between handicrafts and agriculture, there was a need and space to use currency.

Therefore, military farming is a behavior that quickly squeezes people's power, and it is also a retrogressive behavior in the development of productivity.

Cao Pi realized this, so he began to deliberately relax military farming, so that people's power could take a breather, and currency could be restored during Cao Rui's reign.

However, the people were hit hard afterwards:

Cao Rui renovated the palace, the clan members headed by Cao Shuang occupied the land, Cao Zhi ate a bowl of camel hoof soup worth thousands of gold and was praised by history books for being thrifty, etc.

So it can be said that the people had a good life during the Cao Wei period, but this good life depended more on luck. 】

Liu Ba and Mi Zhu stared at the currency thoughtfully.

Kong Ming stared at productivity thoughtfully.

Kong Ming believed that he could not understand the currency policy as well as Mi Zhu, but with the construction and expansion of the water power workshop, Kong Ming's understanding of productivity became more and more.

The changes in Gong'an and Jiangling, as well as the changes from Zigui City to Jiangzhou City, were all seen.

The water power workshop actually replaced part of the people's previous work, so the people could take out this time to raise some things, work in the workshop, and even do some sewing and eating for the military camp to earn some extra money.

Isn't this the development of productivity that Guangmu said? Papermaking, Shu brocade, iron smelting, etc. should also be considered handicrafts?

Then what is considered non-handicrafts? Kong Ming felt that the future was hard for him to imagine.

Moreover, the south has abundant water veins, so it can rely on the water power workshop, so what if it goes to the north such as Guanzhong Yongliang? Kong Ming scratched his head. This is a problem that has troubled him for nearly a year.

Li Shimin was relatively relaxed, and asked his ministers with a smile: "If you were to choose, which of the three places, Wei, Shu, and Wu, would be better for the people?"

Fang Xuanling shook his head, thinking that the three places were all about the same:

"Shu went from good to bad, Wei went from bad to good, but Wei and Wu needed luck to live in peace and contentment..."

Changsun Wuji took advantage of the situation:

"If you were to ask me, I would not choose any of them. I would look for a wise ruler like your majesty, who would sweep away the chaos and disasters in the world within five years, rebuild the world, and return peace and prosperity to the people."

Li Shimin laughed.

Changsun Wuji smiled.

Li Shimin suddenly thought of Zhuge Wuhou. If this light curtain was really the same as Zhuge Wuhou, wouldn't it be possible to communicate with him through the light curtain?

Then wouldn't I be able to unify the Three Kingdoms with the help of Wuhou?

It's fun to think about it! Li Shimin was quite tempted.

[In fact, oppressing the people like Cao Shuang is basically an excellent tradition of the Cao family.

For example, if we trace back to the past, the people of Guanzhong who were affected by Dong Zhuo's rebellion would rather flee to Xuzhou Tao Qian than to the closer Yanzhou of Cao Cao, which was somewhat famous.

And how famous? In addition to plundering people to cultivate land, the Cao family continued to plunder people to build tombs.

In the tomb of Cao Song, which was personally supervised by Cao Cao, many tomb bricks have words engraved on the back, which can more or less reflect the situation at that time.

For example, the "family husband forgot about it" brick: The family husband forgot about it, and now there is a great fall in the West, and he knows that he has passed.

The literal meaning shows that a woman was captured to build a tomb.

There are also three bricks recording a deputy driver Wang Zuo who offended Cao Cao.

"Wang Zuo, the deputy driver, kowtowed and died", which should be recorded by the workers at that time when they saw Wang Zuo kowtow to the supervisor.

"Only thinking of Wang Zuo and Zhu", which should mean that Wang Zuo has a good relationship with people and the workers are worried about Wang Zuo.

"Wang Zuo died, and the slaves died again, which was harsh". After Wang Zuo died in Cao Song's tomb, his wife chose to die with him. The word "harsh" may be an interjection, or it may be scolding Cao for being harsh to the people.

There are also some lamentations about tomb construction, such as "The day is early and you have to stop working", "The wall is completed but it is unfair to others", "The record of the end of things is stopped and food is not eaten", etc.

What Cao Cao did was just imitating his father. When Cao Song supervised the construction of the tomb of Cao Jun in Kuaiji, he deceived many people. The slaves at that time were more resentful and also left a more straightforward record:

Wang Fu, you made me build this big wall, and you wronged me directly. People don't know it, but you are holding your own. Cang Tian Nai died, and you should fight!

This brick is collected in the National Museum of China, and the official name is Cang Tian Nai Si Brick, because it is one of the witnesses of the Yellow Turban Rebellion.

But if we translate it literally, it might be more appropriate to call it the "QNMD Cao Gou" brick, because the engraver made it clear that he was deceived by a man named Wang Fu.

The identity of the Yellow Turbans can also explain that the Cao family may also be one of the culprits who caused the Yellow Turban Uprising.

"People say that building a wall is fun, but building a wall is hard. Coming and building a wall, it is the anger of the heaven."

This is a poem left by one of the foremen who built the tomb, and the meaning is relatively simple. Others told him that building a tomb was a good job to deceive him, but he only knew what kind of hard life it was when he arrived. God, please open your eyes and chop them to death.

The above are relatively educated, and the meaning is more simple and crude. There is also the "Niu Tou Ye Cao Jun" brick.

In ancient times, Niu Tou Ma Mian were insults, but this person might not have thought that Cao Ze didn't become Niu Tou, but NTR.

There is also a broken brick with the words "There are Japanese people who are not willing to make a promise at the time", but the background of this is not very clear.

According to the time speculation, the Cao family may have had contact with Wa at that time, but then Wa fell into civil strife, and this contact came to an abrupt end.

It was not until 239 that the civil strife in Wa was quelled, and the Queen Himiko of Yamatai sent envoys to contact Cao Wei again, and was named "Pro-Wei Wa King".

However, it is worth praising that Cao Wei's attitude towards Wa was relatively cautious.

The Sui Dynasty was similar. After all, Wa claimed to be the Son of Heaven where the Sun Rises and the Emperor of Sui was the Son of Heaven where the Sun Sets, which made Yang Guang very angry.

The real contributors were the monks of the Sui Dynasty who set their sights on this new land. They followed the Wa envoys to Japan, and later there were still monks who went to Wa to preach through Tsushima Island as a transit station, and finally successfully promoted the Taika Reform in Wa. From then on, Wa began its own ambitious road. 】

In the light curtain, everyone can see a rare transparent cover and a noble red mat.

On it is a tomb brick that they would not even look at if it was placed on the roadside.

Zhang Fei stared and read the words in front of the brick:

“…The brick was unearthed from the tomb of the Cao clan in Haozhou, Anhui…”

“Haha, have all the tombs of the old Cao family been dug up? Good! Great!”

Kong Ming said softly: “There are so many people who were deceived and abducted as slaves, and there are still so many people who can read and carve bricks. How many people are illiterate?”

Pang Tong thought for a while and said: “The disaster of Cao thieves started from eunuchs.”

Kong Ming shook his head and smiled, and did not speak, just silently reading these words.

Finally, he said leisurely: “The two tombs of the Cao family are full of tears of the troubled times. How sad it is that the woman died in the tomb.”

Everyone in the hall was silent. Even if they have achieved some achievements and have a state of land, who is not a victim of the troubled times?

Liu Bei moved his lips, and finally learned to express his feelings directly like later generations:

"Fuck you, Cao thief! Fuck your mother's corrupt officials! Fuck your mother's chaotic world!"

The depression in his chest calmed down a little. Liu Bei looked at the people in the hall and sighed frankly:

"I wonder if there is a way to suppress the powerful in the future."

Kong Ming seemed to have been waiting for Liu Bei to ask this question, and said:

"First, establish a school for the people! Second, science must be established at the same time."

Liu Bei seemed to be thinking but couldn't figure it out for a while: "Why?"

Kong Ming sorted out his thoughts and said slowly:

"From the light curtain, we can see that the Song Dynasty talked about imperial examinations, and the Tang Dynasty also had imperial examinations."

"Why abandon the imperial examination and seek the imperial examination? The imperial examination may be suspected of being a connection between the rich and powerful."

"According to the imperial examination policy, we select talents based on virtue, not on filial piety, Select talents based on reputation. "

Kong Ming remembered that the Book of Jin recorded a series of filial sons who made people laugh and cry, and he was more determined in his thoughts:

"Looking at the future generations and the Guangmu, this younger generation named Wen Mang is neither a big family nor a great sage, but a young man in his early twenties, and he can make comments in history. It can be seen that the prosperity of learning in the future generations is the general trend. "

"In such a world, common people can become three officials, and the common people can support national talents. Why worry about big families?"

Pang Tong sighed, but thinking that his so-called Jingzhou big family is nothing compared to the north, he also said:

"Kong Ming discussed with me the meaning of production technology data in the future generations."

"The power of the powerful lies in production. If the lord can rely on the technology of the water power workshop to make the people and the powerful sit side by side, the powerful will break by themselves. "
