Chapter 29 Farewell and Escape
The weather was too cold and the seawater had frozen.
Wrapped tightly in her military coat, Mu Qingzhi huddled beside the sled and shivered, but the cold air around her was still pervasive, almost freezing her bones.
She had considered this harsh extreme cold environment and made a lot of preparations, but she left all those things to Renata and Zero, and she had no time to go back to get them.
Beside her, Khorkina and the others stood upright, like the most indestructible guards guarding her.
Her idea that Khorkina and the others would be able to return to normal after the doctor's death fell through. During the one or two months she stayed in Black Swan Port, Bondarev learned the use of the clapper sound from the doctor.
But even if Khorkina and the others could recover, Mu Qingzhi felt that they would have a hard time dealing with Bondarev. Although Sergei Zhunova and the others were all mixed-bloods with good strength, Bondarev's strength was unfathomable, at least at the level of Han Gao... maybe?
When Bondarev and Herzog were talking before, Bondarev mentioned Henkel's name. Although Herzog didn't understand the meaning of this name and said he was a cowboy, in fact, Henkel's real identity was the leader of the North American hybrids, and his status among the hybrids was roughly equivalent to that of Angers.
With Khorkina and the others, it was undoubtedly a mantis trying to stop a chariot against Bondarev, and they were simply not his opponents. She could count on Yuan Zhisheng and Yuan Zhinu, who were still little kids, to be stronger than Khorkina and the others...
Just as Mu Qingzhi was complaining in her heart, a huge white searchlight suddenly came from a distance, illuminating their side.
A moment later, a huge monster appeared in front of them.
It was a slightly old nuclear-powered icebreaker with a red five-star embedded on the white bow. The huge ship's shadow rose on the sea level, breaking through the floating ice with an emperor-like posture, leaving a blue waterway behind.
On the deck, several figures in military uniforms lined up and saluted Bondarev respectfully.
"Well... you have worked hard."
After thinking for a while, Mu Qingzhi first stood up politely and raised her hand to respond to the other party's greeting, and then rushed to the front without hesitation.
If she continued to stay outside, she felt that she would probably freeze to death...
Bondarev: "..."
…………………………………………
"Glad to see that you are safe, Your Highness."
After watching the girl in a dress and a blood-stained military coat rush into the cabin with a strange look on her face, the first mate walked to Bondarev and saluted the other party.
"I wonder who the girl just now was..."
"Find someone to keep an eye on her and meet some of her reasonable requests, but remember not to let her touch some things, and don't give her the opportunity to be alone."
Taking off his coat, Bondarev handed it to the lieutenant who was waiting in advance.
"By the way, when will the Su-27 arrive? And, the Halo hasn't come back yet... huh?"
Bondarev raised his head as if he had sensed something.
Under his gaze, a thick black shadow rose from the sea level not far away, and the roar of a giant bee flapping its wings approached at high speed. The snow dust was twisted into a tornado by the helicopter's rotor, and a red five-pointed star flashed in the white tornado.
That was the "MiG-26" heavy helicopter, code-named "Halo", one of the prides of the Soviet military industry. Perhaps because there was a huge dragon corpse hanging below, the opponent's speed was not as fast as theirs.
"Clear the field, bring all the things prepared in advance!!"
While giving orders in his mouth, Bondarev strode forward.
A few minutes later, the huge heavy helicopter hovered above the deck of the Lenin, the searchlight tore through the haze of the polar night, and the huge keel cast a hideous reflection on the deck.
Soon, the Halo slowly descended, and the huge keel lay flat on the deck of the Lenin.
"It is indeed a miracle of creation. Herzog will never know how precious he has missed."
While praising it, Bondarev approached the incredible huge wreckage in front of him, stretched out his gloved hand, and gently stroked the bones that were harder than steel.
"Captain, shall we set sail now?"
Carrying a box, the first mate boarded the deck.
"Set sail, but don't go too fast, don't make it look like you are rushing to escape the scene."
Taking the box from the other party, Bondarev pointed to the sky.
"There are eyes in the sky. Spy satellites in low-Earth orbit can see the general situation here. We should act as natural as possible."
"Understood, we will go to the target location to anchor and investigate the water quality of the Arctic Ocean. We are a scientific research ship."
Stepping back, the first mate saluted.
"Go ahead, try to drive more steadily, I have to do a little surgery on this thing first."
Waving his hand without looking back, Bondarev opened the box handed over by the other party, and then took out the folded metal bracket from it. After opening it, it can be fixed on the dragon's facial bones.
Stepping back a few steps, Bondarev looked up at the dragon bone in front of him...or the dragon's left eye.
That is not a dragon eye, to be precise, it is a cocoon left by an ancient dragon. When the time is right, a brand new ancient dragon will break out of the cocoon.
There is always a kind of life in the world, and every time it dies, it is for the purpose of returning, and the dragon is such a magical creature.
"For so many years, Herzog did not realize that there was a real ancient dragon under his feet."
While sighing, Bondarev remotely turned on the laser on the metal frame, and the metal bracket pushed the laser to rotate along the circular track and cut along the dragon's eye socket.
From the beginning to the end, his goal was just for this cocoon.
Other things, such as Herzog's research results, are just byproducts of this cocoon.
"Black snake... So it looks like this?"
At the hatch, Mu Qingzhi, who had changed clothes and was holding hot tea in her hands, squinted her eyes and looked at the huge dragon bone on the deck.
In Zero's dream, she had seen the true appearance of the dragon bone, but the other party was just a pet in Zero's hands, dancing for them and serving as stairs for them. There was no domineering at all, and it was far less shocking than the dragon bone seen now.
...I don't know how Renata and Zero are doing now.
With a slight sigh, Mu Qingzhi turned her head and looked in the direction of Black Swan Harbor.
The icebreaker had already started, slowly sailing towards the Arctic Ocean. It was basically invisible over there, and only the flames rising from the sky could be vaguely seen.
Without her intrusion, Zero and Renata could successfully escape from there. Now that she left so many props for Renata, their escape should be smoother... maybe?
