【Closing Remarks】
[Acknowledgements]
So far, 477 days have passed, and "The Ascension of the Destiny" has been completed.
Thank you to all readers. Without your reading and subscription, I would not have been able to keep writing.
Bow.
Continuous bow.
Crazy bow.

[Current mood]
I have been looking forward to this day, always thinking about saying something to vent my long-suppressed mood.
However, when this day really came, I sat down and typed the four words "Ending Remarks", and I just felt that my head was empty, a little disappointed, and a little reluctant.
Another story has officially ended from nothing.
"The Ascension of the Destiny", this is the second book of "Black Pepper Immortal".
In a blink of an eye, I have been in this industry for almost four years.
The actual creation time is nearly 1,200 days, more than 5.6 million words.
From a newbie who knows nothing, to a rookie who is still very green.
On this road, I have gained a lot and lost a lot.
Every day when I wake up, I owe readers thousands of words of updates. Every day I have to think about the direction of the plot. Every day I have to put my heart and soul into writing and revising the manuscript...
To describe it in one sentence, it is painful and happy.
But I have never regretted embarking on this path. At most, I am a little annoyed. I started a little late. If I had started writing when I was a student, I might have accumulated more and grown more now.
Let's get back to the topic and talk about this book first.

[Review]
In fact, when I was writing "The Master of Pets", I thought of the inspiration of authority + beast control, and I once thought that this was a very interesting setting and worthy of in-depth thinking.
However, when the first book was finished and I started thinking about the second book, I was very hesitant.
On the one hand, I wanted to write this subject.
On the other hand, even if I didn't officially start writing, I could predict that this subject was very difficult and I might not be able to handle it.
Then, by the end, I found that my prediction was correct.
This setting actually has a lot of extensions, but how to conceive and how to cut in, one link after another, are all tricky problems.
If this kind of setting can show the maximum fun of 95 points, what I actually presented may be far less than 60 points.
However, there is nothing to regret.
At least I created a fairly complete story from beginning to end.
477 days, although the update was unstable from the beginning of the middle period, I did not stop updating, never took a day off, and fought every day.
Thinking about it this way, at least I still made efforts.
Even if it did not achieve the expected results from the perspective of the whole book, I can also say that I will keep working hard.
So... where is the problem?
Maybe every reader has his own ideas, but those who can read here are generally readers who can recognize this book at the minimum. What is hindering the readers who left early from reading?
I thought about it and couldn't summarize it all, and I didn't want to catch the particularly small details. I wanted to catch the key points.
For a book, the beginning of the story is extremely important.
Assuming this is a road, the wider your entrance is, the more readers will pour in, and the possibility of spending money inside and the possibility of going out from the exit instead of the escape route will increase in disguise.
However, looking back at the beginning of this book, I feel that it is a mess.
Obviously, the Lord of Pet Beasts also has similar mistakes, but with a different set of settings and some characters, the problems exposed are still endless.
[1. Maybe we shouldn’t write about disciples]
There are many points to enter the power + beast control. It is not impossible to enter the disciple, but it requires extremely high writing skills.
If you don’t write about disciples, change the second power to a different setting, whether it is a combat type or an auxiliary type, you don’t need to allocate extra writing power to do something thankless.
This book writes about disciples in the beginning, and sons in the middle, but nothing in the end.
It’s not that I don’t want to write, but I found that if I write about disciples and sons, I will inevitably write about their powers and contracted spirits, which is a bit like a group portrait, not a beast control.
This is undoubtedly fatal for a beast control novel.
In other novels, as long as the protagonist has his own ability and personality, there is room for forming gangs and factions.
But the core of beast control novels is beasts, and the focus is different.
On this basis, I introduced the setting of authority, which meant that I had to further split the writing power, focusing on the beast and then writing the authority.
If I continue to write according to the framework of disciples and Daozi, and develop group portraits, I am afraid that it will collapse before the end.
In fact, I will lose one thing while focusing on the other.
Even if I realize the problem, it is too late to save it. Both sides have fatal flaws and it is impossible to be outstanding.
This is why some readers find that the disciples and Daozi, who were created in the early stage, have very few appearances in the later stage.
As the plot progresses, the number of contracted spirits of the protagonist is increasing. How to divide the writing power to shape the contract partners is already a big problem.
Adding other characters will make the story very bloated.
Based on this idea, let's assume that if there is no setting like disciples, what will the framework of the entire spirit be like?
Throw away disciples and Daozi, don't write messy supporting roles, and pick a few key points as friends or villains.
Naturally, there will be more writing power and environment left for contract partners, and there is no need to rush and consider left and right, and redundant branches are greatly reduced.
[2. Tearing feeling]
In general, I divide this book into three sections.
The first section is "Trial of the Night", the second section is "The Abyss of the Dark Lantern", and the third section is "The Fall of the Dark Lantern", which correspond to the three parts of the front, middle and back.
As I recall now, I wrote too much and too messy in the early stage, and some unnecessary points were also written. Many new readers will lose patience and will not read on.
After entering the middle stage, the plot has obviously accelerated. In fact, there are only two reasons.
One is that I want to speed up the pace, learn to reduce redundant parts, and complete the whole story from the process.
The other result is not as expected. Instead of procrastinating and creating a story on a framework that already has many problems, I spend 120% of my time and energy on it, and I can't make up for the mistakes. At the same time, I have to doubt myself day and night, suffer from insomnia and anxiety.
It is better to reconcile with myself, admit my failures and shortcomings, and then reduce some of my energy and speed up the pace.
In this way, I can persist in writing, achieve the purpose of practicing writing, and learn more experience.
At the same time, it also reduces the time cost and leaves more opportunities for the next book.
Back to the topic, I still think that my overall framework idea is correct.
The Night Trial allows the protagonist to survive the early stage, while the Dark Lantern Abyss grows and develops. When it is at its peak, it will be destroyed and sink, fall to the bottom, and climb again.
However, there are problems with many details. It is not exciting enough when it should be exciting, and it is not exciting enough when it should be exciting. Including the late stage, many places are not handled well, which is indeed my problem.
A considerable part of this is due to insufficient writing skills, but some of it is still related to settings.
I don’t want to analyze them one by one here. Many mistakes are entangled together. Sometimes even if you realize it, it will repeat, or even if you realize it, it is difficult to recover.
In the final analysis, a story presents a linear development. As long as you are a little careless along the way, the problem will be magnified in the future.
After I found the problem, I was often unable to solve it and was forced to choose to abandon the car to save the general.
This has not yet mentioned many problems that have not been discovered.
In my opinion, every story is a journey, the protagonist is taking risks, and the author is also taking risks.
There are so many monsters of all sizes blocking the way. Whether you can reach the end and what the end will be like, there are too many uncertain factors.
I still have a long way to go on the road of writing. Learning and exploration seem to have no end.
Well... I am a little annoyed after writing this. I don't want to tear myself apart to find mistakes. I want to take a vacation and relax my nerves!
So, let's talk about the topics that everyone is interested in at the end!
————————————
[About the new book]
"Black Pepper Immortal" started with the theme of "beast control". After two consecutive books, it did not achieve the results I expected, so I will not easily change the track and will continue to dig deeper.
There are many themes I want to write, such as cards + beast control, constellations + beast control, constellations + beast control, the end of the world + beast control, Shanhaijing + beast control, leisure city + beast control, universe + planet + beast control, superpowers + beast control, wizards + beast control, aliens + beast control, auto chess + beast control, weapons + beast control, farming + beast control, sealed objects + beast control...
Here I would like to mention "Spirit Ascension".
This book has too many flaws. In my mind, it is extremely imperfect, and the advantages of the theme have not really been brought into play.
So, in the future, maybe I will write another book based on authority + beast control.
But it probably won't be the same world background, and it will take a different approach. For example, the authority will no longer be linked to humans, but directly linked to the contracted beasts, and the fun of the story will become completely different.
(Imagine that an ordinary bull obtains the authority of a warrior and evolves into a minotaur; obtains the authority of a gladiator and evolves into a mad bull fighter; obtains a killer and evolves into a minotaur soul-locking knight... There is a lot of room for imagination.)
Unfortunately, I am a little tired after writing "The Ascension of the Familiar Spirit" and don't want to write the same type. This combination is temporarily put in the bottom of the box.
So, what will the next book be about beast control and what will it be?
The tentative answer is: Brave.
ps: This is the idea as of now, not the final decision. It is possible to change my mind temporarily, and the relevant interpretation rights belong to me. (dog head)
The new book is expected to be launched at the beginning of next year. (Maybe January? Maybe February? Let's discuss it.)
In short, the Familiar Spirit is finished, and I need to rest for two months to relax my nerves that have been tense for a year and a half.
It is expected that the framework and settings of the new book will be polished in December.
This time I don't plan to save too many manuscripts. I find that readers' comments are very valuable for reference. With my current ability, if I save too many manuscripts, it is easy to write inaccurately. It is better to write 30,000 words + outline + detailed outline, and then constantly correct the details during the creation process. Maybe it is easier to achieve the expected results in my mind.
Also, I don't want to write a super long novel, it's too tiring, I want to try to write something concise. The tentative goal for the next book is a masterpiece of about 1.5-2.5 million words. Work hard.
Bow again, thank you readers who love "Family Ascension".
See you next year. (End of this chapter)
