Obituary
Grandma passed away at 4:34 a.m. last night, ending a long period of illness and suffering.
…
I was very sleepy last night, but I couldn't sleep no matter what, and I was extremely flustered.
After one o'clock, just when I decided to listen to a song to sleep, I just played a song randomly. The aunt who was keeping watch at the hospital called and said that grandma was not in good condition, so my mother and I rushed to the hospital.
Coincidentally, the pure music I randomly played was called "Song for Grandma". When I saw this, my heart skipped a beat.
After arriving at the hospital, grandma continued to gush out black liquid from her mouth, and various data continued to decrease.
An hour later, grandma nestled in my dad's arms and let out painful wails that echoed throughout the corridor, as if she was trying her best to grasp the last straw.
As her voice gradually became smaller, a large amount of black liquid gushed out of her mouth again, and no matter how much the nurse pumped out phlegm, it was to no avail.
Like this, until she stopped moving, all the curves turned into straight lines, her body became cold, and she lay motionless on the bed.
I clearly remember that in the last few seconds, she tried to open her eyes and looked at us, with tears in the corners of her eyes, wanting to say something but unable to do anything.
I won’t describe what happened next. I just felt that my chest hurt and felt so tight.
It felt like a dream.
…
I just returned home and there was no trace of my grandma at home anymore.
I didn't cry in the hospital, I was a little numb, but I couldn't hold myself together as soon as I got home, even though her clothes were still hanging on the balcony.
I will take grandma to the funeral parlor later.
