Hogwarts Blood Wizard

Chapter 928 The New Professor’s First Class

When Ivan walked into the classroom, the class bell just rang. The sixth-grade students were already sitting in their respective seats, and dozens of pairs of eyes looked at him.

"Good morning, everyone!" Ivan walked straight to the stage, looked at the people in the audience, and said calmly. "Although we are all familiar with each other, as usual, I would like to introduce myself first. I am your new professor of Magic Research and Practice..."

"What are you going to teach us in this class? Professor Hals, we haven't received any new textbooks either!" A Hufflepuff wizard suddenly raised his hand and asked curiously.

"This is a good question! Since this course is a newly added course this year, there is no corresponding textbook for the time being. This also means that in my class, you'd better take out your notebook and write down those important knowledge points. Record everything!" Ivan said slowly.

However, most of the students did not react. Only Hermione and a few other girls who loved learning took out their quills and parchment.

Ivan saw all this and then added lightly. "I believe this knowledge can be used during the exam!"

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a faint sound in the classroom. All the little wizards immediately put their notebooks on the table. No one dared to neglect this year's final exam.

"As for the content that will be taught in this class, just like its name, it is divided into two parts: practical exercises and magic theory research." Ivan started to explain, paused, and continued.

"I believe you have all read the Daily Prophet in the past two years and understand that the wizarding world today is not peaceful. Even at the end of the last school year, Hogwarts was attacked... So I hope you can all If you take this course seriously, you will be able to better protect yourself when you encounter danger."

Hearing this, Neville, Ron and others couldn't help but shudder. They happened to be present when Grindelwald raided Hogwarts that day, and they still have lingering fears to this day.

"Okay, since you have no other questions, let's officially start class now!" Ivan looked around, scanning everyone's faces one by one, and then suddenly said. "Does anyone know the specific steps to release a magic?"

Under the stage, a white arm was immediately raised up, faster than anyone else!

"Hermione, you answer!" Ivan said with a smile.

"It's wands, spells and gestures!" Hermione responded loudly.

Ivan nodded noncommittally, but then continued to ask. "Then which point do you think is the most important?"

The little witch was stunned. She frowned and thought about it for a while but couldn't give an answer.

"I think it should be the wand... If the wizard's wand is disarmed during the duel, the opponent will no longer be able to release magic!" Hannah Abbott raised her hands and shouted.

"Really? Do you really think so?" Ivan glanced at Hannah and put his hand directly on the podium.

The next moment, in front of everyone's attention, the one-meter-high desk quickly melted and deformed, and in just a few seconds, a beautiful lion statue appeared in the classroom.

Only then did Ivan retort. "Obviously what you said is not quite right, Miss Hannah Abbott. As you just saw, I didn't hold a wand, but I still successfully cast a transformation spell!"

Hannah's eyes widened and she looked at the lion statue in front of her with an expression of great surprise. This was the first time she had seen someone cast magic with their bare hands.

Harry, Neville, Malfoy and others were also surprised, but Hermione's expression remained normal. She had seen Ivan's wandless spellcasting skills before, and that was why she had not given the answer rashly before.

"Could that be a curse? If the spell is recited incorrectly, the wizard will not be able to release the magic correctly..." Ron said uncertainly.

However, before Ivan could reply, Hermione interrupted. "No, there are many wizards who can cast spells without spells, so spells are definitely not the most important thing!"

"That can't be a gesture for casting a spell, right?" Ron muttered in confusion. Ivan didn't even need a wand when he released the spell, so there was no need to change the gestures!

The students in the classroom discussed quietly, but no one could give a definite answer. In the end, they had to look at Ivan together, waiting for his answer.

"It's very simple. This means that wands, spells and gestures are not the key to casting spells!" Ivan revealed the answer directly.

The students present opened their mouths and wanted to refute. They had been learning the spells and spell-casting gestures necessary to release magic since they came to Hogwarts, and now Ivan suddenly told them that these are not important?

This was really hard for them to accept, but Ivan had just performed a spell-free and wand-free spell in front of everyone, proving that his words were correct.

"Then what is the key to releasing magic?" Harry raised his hand and asked curiously.

Ivan did not give a direct answer, but asked instead. "Harry! Do you remember how you made a piece of glass disappear in the zoo before you came to Hogwarts? You didn't have a wand in your hand at that time, and you didn't know any spells."

Harry was momentarily stunned by Ivan's words, and finally replied hesitantly. "I...I don't know...I just wanted to release that big snake..."

At this point, Harry suddenly realized something. He looked at Ivan and said eagerly. "Is it because I desperately want to save it that the glass disappears?"

"Yes, a strong will triggers the magic, and eventually you release the magic unconsciously!" Ivan explained, and then hopefully addressed everyone in the audience. "I believe you all should have had a similar experience when your magic power broke out for the first time!"

"When I was chased by a dog when I was eight years old, a burst of magic turned it into a parrot..." a Ravenclaw girl said.

The other little wizards also revealed their strange experiences when their magic power broke out for the first time, and at the same time they also realized that they had inadvertently completed a wandless spell.

"That is to say, we don't need to buy magic spells at all, let alone learn the changes of magic spells and gestures. Then why does the school teach us these?" Hannah was completely confused.

Ivan replied with a smile. "Of course this makes sense. The steps of casting spells can reduce the difficulty of spell casting for wizards and make your magic more accurate!"
