Chapter 784: A Lot of Room for Improvement
At 7pm, at a remote camping site in Yellowstone Park, a campfire illuminated the nearby tents and dining tables, and the orange flames attracted people's attention.
"FBI?!"
Seeing the golden badge in Roan's hand, the Wyoming policeman named Fres widened his eyes in surprise.
The policeman next to him named Duarte, from the neighboring state of Montana, opened his mouth in astonishment.
"Hello, Mr. FBI."
After a brief moment of distraction, Fleiss was the first to react. He reached out and shook hands with Roan again, smiling even more:
"I didn't expect it to be such a coincidence today that I could meet an FBI agent here for a camping vacation."
Without waiting for Roan to speak, Duart suddenly remembered the scene where everyone in the camp suddenly stood up, and Winslow and Lacey even subconsciously put their hands behind their backs, so he laughed dryly and asked:
"Who are these people?"
"We are all FBI."
Lacey laughed, took out the FBI's golden badge from her pocket and shook it, then raised her eyebrows at Duart and said:
"We just happened to come here to get together today."
"..."x2
The two policemen, Fleiss and Duart, looked at each other and saw the speechlessness and shock in each other's eyes.
They really didn't expect that they would meet so many FBI in a simple notification task.
However, meeting a group of FBI also has its benefits. Fleiss quickly reacted and answered Roan's previous question:
"The notice we received indicated that there were two murderers, one male and one female, about 30 years old..."
The two policemen, Fleiss and Duarte, briefly described the identity information and appearance characteristics of the two murderers, and finally said with a smile:
"Since you are all FBI, we don't need to worry about safety."
Lacey, Mona and others carefully thought about the appearance of the murderers described by the two policemen, and Roan smiled and said to them:
"If we find out the situation, we will definitely contact you."
"OK."
Freiss and Duarte smiled and nodded, then exchanged a few words with Roan, and turned to leave. There were many other tourists camping not far away, and they still needed to visit and notify them one by one.
The figures of the two policemen slowly disappeared, and everyone in the camp looked at each other for a few times, and sat down to chat again, but the warm atmosphere was much lower than before.
"I didn't expect that I would run into a murderer during an ordinary camping trip?"
Lacey brought a piece of barbecue to the dining table and frowned:
"Why would a murderer come to Yellowstone Park? This place is not suitable for evading police pursuit.
Those wild wolves, grizzly bears, and hot springs that can scald people to death or even dissolve people are all very dangerous for fugitives."
"Is there a possibility that the murderer just wants to find those hot springs?"
Chenelle picked up a piece of barbecue made by Lacey, put it in her mouth and said:
"As far as I know, those hot springs are quite terrifying, enough to boil a person alive and melt him, leaving no bones. That is a great opportunity to destroy the body... Bah! Bah! Bah!"
At the end, Chenelle spit out all the barbecue that she had just put into her mouth. She looked at the red and black objects with a shocked face:
"Lacey, What is this thing you are grilling?"
"Roast beef."
Lacey's face was not very good. She picked up a piece of beef and asked:
"Is it not delicious?"
Chenelle rolled her eyes at Lacey and said nothing. Lacey stuffed the beef into her mouth, tasted it carefully for a few seconds, then spit the meat aside and said seriously:
"It seems that my grilling skills have a lot of room for improvement."
Everyone rolled their eyes. Seeing that Lacey was still preparing to go to the oven to improve her skills, Luo An quickly reached out and pulled her back to her position, so that she would waste less ingredients, and then said:
"Since there is a suspected murderer, everyone should pay a little more attention when sleeping tonight, and don't sleep too deeply."
"No problem."
Everyone nodded in unison, and after a few simple chats, the topic shifted to other things. The atmosphere on the scene gradually became much warmer.
Winslow quickly finished his American barbecue and brought it to the table for everyone to share and taste. After eating, everyone unanimously agreed that Lacey's barbecue skills really had a lot of room for improvement.
Lacey: "..."
Amidst the laughter and joy, time came to about ten o'clock in the evening. The group simply packed up the dishes and went back to the tent to rest.
Seeing Lacey pulling Evelyn into the tent and impatiently zipping it up, Luo An shook his head and turned back to his tent.
Mona was preparing a sleeping bag. Seeing Luo An's actions, she narrowed her eyes and asked in a low voice:
"Why, are you envious?"
"Yes, I am a little envious."
Luo An laughed, and before Mona got angry, he hugged Mona and whispered:
"I envy Lacey's barbecue skills, which still have so much room for improvement. Unlike me, I can just grill some meat and make you linger."
"Humph."
Mona rolled her eyes at Roan, snorted and said nothing more. After changing clothes and packing up the sleeping bag, the two lay down and prepared to fall asleep.
Not long after, under the quiet night sky, a faint voice came into Roan's ears. Roan opened his eyes speechlessly, glanced in the direction of Lacey's tent, turned around and prepared to shield the other party with his mind.
At this moment, a hand suddenly got into Roan's sleeping bag. Roan was stunned for a moment, turned around, looked at Mona and whispered:
"Don't tell me that you didn't hear the movement over Lacey."
Thinking of some words taught by Winslow's wife Lanita before, Mona's eyes flashed with an imperceptible light, her ears turned red, and the movement of her hands increased a bit, whispering:
"Of course I heard it, so Roan, be careful and don't make a sound."
"?"
Roan's mouth twitched, and these words coming from Mona's mouth seemed to be wrong.
Before he could speak, some of Mona's actions made Luo An's face change slightly. He looked at Mona in surprise:
"Mona, you..."
"Shut up!"
Mona raised her head and covered Luo An's mouth with her mouth, bit Luo An's lips hard, and whispered:
"I just told you, don't make a sound!"
Luo An didn't say anything, and had no chance to resist, because Mona pressed hard on him...
No words were spoken all night.
Before seven o'clock the next morning, Luo An unzipped the tent and got out of the tent. The cool and very fresh air in the forest slowly blew on his face with the breeze, which made Luo An instantly refreshed.
"Good morning."
Luo An stretched his waist, and Winslow, who got up earlier than him, came over from the roaster with two cups of hot coffee.
Winslow handed one of the cups of coffee to Roan, then looked at the mirror-like lake not far away under the sunrise and breeze, and the birds occasionally flying over the lake, and smiled faintly:
"We came at a bad time this time, this lake is really suitable for fishing."
Roan was speechless when he heard Winslow's words. He thought he was going to say something about leisurely and elegant feelings, or famous quotes, but in the end he was just thinking about fishing.
Superficial!
Roan took a sip of hot coffee and said:
"Next time we go camping, we must plan this information in advance and prepare a few more fishing rods. Let's go fishing together and see who catches the biggest fish."
The two turned their heads to look at each other, picked up their coffees and clinked them, and laughed together.
Not long after, the other people in the camp also woke up one after another. The group had a simple breakfast and packed up their things to leave.
