Chapter 18 Level Difference

"That's not right. Lao Mo is level 5 now. Doesn't that mean he can't team up with us?"

Seeing Chen Mo at level 5, Khalil Fong immediately said with deep regret.

He was still thinking about killing monsters with his brothers to show the strength of his suit.

But if the level difference is too large, it is generally not suitable to kill monsters together.

Under the rules of heaven, teaming up to kill monsters will make the experience judgment based on the maximum level difference. Once the level of the monster killed is different from that of someone in the team, the corresponding experience value will be reduced.

Not only in the team, even if the person who takes action does not participate in the team, but helps to reduce the health of the monster, or interferes, such as reducing the monster's attributes, controlling the monster, etc., so that people of lower levels can harvest, it will also lead to experience value penalties.

The experience value of the monster is fixed. After killing a level 1 monster, it is 1 experience point, and after killing a level 2 monster, it is 2 experience points.

For every level difference between you and the monster, you will be penalized for experience points when you kill the monster, and you will get 1 less experience point. After level 10, this penalty will double, and 2 points will be deducted for each level. After level 20, it will double again, and 3 points will be deducted for each level. After that, it will be superimposed every 10 levels, and so on.

For example, if you are level 3 when you are in a team, and you kill a level 1 monster, because you are two levels behind the level 1 monster, the experience points you get this time will be reduced by 2 points, and the level 1 monster itself has only 1 point of experience points, which is not enough to deduct. The reverse experience points will not be deducted from you, but you will not get any experience points when killing a level 1 monster.

[Special reminder, this rule is only valid when you are in a team, and the level difference between the highest and lowest levels of the team is greater than 2. Under normal circumstances, low-level professionals can get extra experience points when killing high-level monsters. 】Similarly, if you are level 1 when you form a team and the level difference between the teams is too large, and your team kills a level 3 monster together, since you are two levels lower than the monster, the experience points you get this time will also be reduced by 2 points, but the level 3 monster itself can provide 3 experience points, so even if you are penalized for experience, you can still get at least 1 experience point by killing the level 3 monster.

If you kill a level 11 monster at level 13, although you are only two levels lower than the level 11 monster, because the penalty is doubled after level 10, 1 level deduction of 2 points, so when you kill a level 11 monster with 11 experience points, you will be deducted 4 experience points and can only get 7 experience points.

The same is true when you kill a level 21 monster at level 23. If you exceed level 20, 3 points will be deducted for each level, and you will be deducted 6 experience points. A level 21 monster with 21 experience points will only give you 15 experience points after death.

The same is true in reverse. When you are in a team, if you kill a level 13 monster at level 11, you will deduct 4 experience points and gain 9 experience points. If you kill a level 23 monster at level 21, you will deduct 6 experience points, and you can gain 17 experience points.

When there are multiple different levels in the team, the experience points will be deducted according to the maximum level difference among all members in the team.

For example, your team now has level 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 members, and you killed a level 5 monster.

According to the maximum level difference rule, because the level difference between the level 1 member and the level 5 monster in the team is the largest, the heavenly rule will impose experience penalties according to this maximum level difference. The difference between level 1 and level 5 is 4 levels, so the experience points provided by the level 5 monster will be deducted by 4 points, and there will be 1 point left in the end.

And this 1 point will be divided equally among the whole team.

That is to say, a team of five people from level 1 to level 5 jointly kills a level 5 monster, and the final benefit is 0.2 experience points per person.

Because of this rule, it is difficult for high-level players to quickly improve the level of low-level players.

Because as long as the level difference in your team is too large, no matter you bring low-level monsters or high-level monsters, the huge level difference penalty will greatly reduce the experience value benefits of all team members.

The same is true for the explosion rate.

After killing the monster, according to the maximum level difference, the explosion rate of the monster will be reduced by 10% for every 1 level difference.

Take the above 1 to 5 level team as an example. 5 people killed a level 5 monster together. Due to the existence of the level 1 member in the team, the level difference reached 4 levels, and the explosion rate of the monster will directly drop by 40%.

Similarly, even if there is no team, if there are high-level people intervening and helping during the battle, whether it is helping to output or releasing control skills, debuff skills, etc., the explosion rate will be calculated according to the highest level difference between the intervening person and the person in the team.

The detection of the Heavenly Dao is extremely strict, and it will not give you such loopholes!

The only one who can take advantage of the loophole is the healing profession. They can release treatment outside the team. As long as they do not release any buffs to enhance the combatants, but only restore their blood, they will not be counted as intervening in the battle.

This is the only place where high-level players can help low-level players improve their monster-killing efficiency without any penalty.

Fortunately, the rules of heaven are also quite reasonable. There are penalties, but there are also balance and rewards.

All the above restrictions on low levels are only for situations where the level difference is too large when forming a team and someone interferes.

If the difference between the highest and lowest levels in the team does not exceed 2 levels, the level of the team will be calculated after killing the monster, and there will be no experience value penalty for over-level monsters.

If you are alone and kill a high-level monster by your own ability, you will not only not be penalized by experience value and explosion rate, but you will also get a reward.

The reward rules are exactly the opposite of the penalty rules mentioned above.

If you kill a level 5 monster at level 1, you can get the original 5 experience points plus 4 bonus experience points for the level difference, a total of 9 experience points.

At the same time, if you kill a level 5 monster at level 1, the explosion rate after the monster dies will be increased by an additional 40%.

It can be seen that while the rules of heaven restrict high-level players from carrying low-level players, they also give capable low-level players the benefit of taking off quickly.

Everyone is very clear about these rules.

That's why Khalil Fong is so frustrated. Once Chen Mo teams up with him, the level difference of the entire team will be quite large.

No matter how many levels of monsters you kill, the benefits are not very optimistic.

Killing level 1 monsters, because Chen Mo is level 5, 4 experience points will be deducted, and there is no benefit.

Killing level 2 monsters, because Chen Mo is level 5, 3 experience points will be deducted, and there is no benefit.

Killing level 4 monsters, because Khalil Fong and his team, 3 experience points will be deducted from level 4 monsters, and only 1 experience point will be gained.

Killing level 5 monsters, because Khalil Fong and his team, 4 experience points will be deducted from level 5 monsters, and there is also only 1 experience point gain.

Killing level 3 monsters, this time, whether it is calculated from Chen Mo or from Khalil Fong, 2 experience points will be deducted, and the result is still only 1 experience point.

And this 1 experience point must be divided equally among all team members. After dividing each person's tiny experience points, almost three of the four people in a team are killing monsters above their level, but the experience points are pitifully small. Such a team is too meaningless and inefficient.

"Since Chen Mo is already level 5, don't continue to participate in the team. Prepare for the breakthrough test immediately.

It just so happens that a team in Class 3 said yesterday that they couldn't find anyone and only reported two people. Datong, Bingbing and the girls in Class 4, you three should team up with the two in Class 3."

After all, the level difference is here, it is really inappropriate.

After hearing what Su Tianxin said, Chen Mo and his friends didn't say anything more and consciously disbanded the team.
