Armor Frenzy

One Thousand One Hundred and Fifteen Far Water Cannot Quench Near Thirst

Before the sonar soldiers could figure out what they were, a group of alien fighters suddenly emerged from the water, quickly spread their wings after taking off, and flew straight towards the destroyer not far away.

The destroyer had never expected that the aliens had such a trick. Fortunately, all the officers and soldiers on the ship had been in combat readiness. At the captain's order, the anti-aircraft missiles on the front deck were immediately launched, and the close-in defense guns were also ready to fire.

The rocket launcher fired one step earlier than the missiles. The rockets exploded over the warships. Each rocket would form an umbrella-shaped smoke screen. The layers of smoke screens immediately covered the warships and formed a curtain wall on the water surface to block the warships.

The alien fleet immediately pulled up, and in the process of pulling up, it happened to collide with the anti-aircraft missiles. One-third of the fighters were lost before they flew above the curtain wall, and then they fired several insect bombs below.

These insect bombs have also been improved. They are not the previous space models, but a new structure with wings.

After the insect bombs entered the smoke, they drilled around in the smoke. Some of them accidentally approached the warships and were shot down by the close-in defense guns on the ship. Some of them kept flapping their wings and hovering in the air, waiting for the smoke to dissipate.

Aliens have fought so many battles with humans that they are familiar with human routines. Although this is on Earth, not in space, the routines are the same.

How dare the destroyer give the aliens a chance to attack? Turn around and head north while firing another round of anti-aircraft missiles.

Alien fighters also want to shake off missiles, but they do not have an aerodynamic shape, and they fly with wings like insects. They are so clumsy that they can't avoid anti-aircraft missiles at all. They are accurate in every shot.

The destroyer captain was ruthless and almost fired all the anti-aircraft missiles before he shot down all the enemy planes in the air.

But before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the sonar soldier found that an unknown target appeared in the water again.

The captain almost fainted and quickly ordered the sailors to load missiles.

However, it takes time to load missiles. Before the missiles were loaded into the launch tubes, the second batch of enemy planes had already spread their wings and flew into the sky, attacking the destroyer again.

If it was a space battleship, there would be no need to load at all. The equipment on the ship would load the spare missiles into the launch tubes as soon as possible.

But surface ships cannot do that. Since the insect plague broke out ten years ago, the navy has never received sufficient military funds, and there have been few new ships in the past ten years.

After the emergence of the space fleet, all resources were tilted towards the space fleet, and the navy became a stepmother overnight. At present, all warships of various countries are at the pre-war level. Not only are there few new ships, but the improvement of old ships has also stopped long ago. No matter which aspect, they cannot be compared with space battleships.

The destroyer can only approach the anti-gun to deal with enemy planes. It was beaten to a pulp by the aliens' saturated insect bombs. The bow was hit by three acid bombs in a row. The acid strongly corroded the bow, the main gun broke from it, and the turret melted quickly like ice and snow in the sun.

The sailors who were replacing missiles on the front deck were also affected by the acid bombs. Several sailors covered by the acid disappeared in the acid without even a scream, and not even a bone residue was left.

The sailors splashed by the acid were in extreme pain and rolled on the ground. Several people could not bear the severe pain and actually threw themselves into the acid to commit suicide.

Although the others were not affected by the acid, they were shocked to see their comrades die in the acid, and the whole ship was in panic.

As a result, the house leaked and it rained all night. Just after dealing with the second wave of insect bombs, the third wave of alien fighters came out.

The captain ordered to abandon the ship without hesitation, and everyone quickly evacuated the destroyer.

As soon as the sailors evacuated, a large group of insect bombs fell from the sky. A large number of acid bombs covered the entire superstructure, and several hit the waterline of the destroyer.

The sailors desperately escaped from the warship, and soon the destroyer sank into the water.

The sailors were extremely angry, but they did not realize the cruelty of the aliens until the alien warships in the sky circled down, and some sailors remembered the rumors that the aliens did not take prisoners.

They screamed and jumped into the water,

diving underwater as fast as possible, hoping that the water could protect them, but the aliens still dropped several acid bombs like they did to the warships. The acid spread in the water and quickly corroded the skin and flesh of the sailors. The underwater was as horrible as a horror movie.

However, the warships were not over. Before the alien fighters in the sky left, eight high-speed F-35Cs flew in from a distance. There were still hundreds of kilometers away from the battlefield. These planes launched a batch of long-range missiles at the enemy planes.

The alien warships were unaware until the missiles flew close to them. They realized that they were being stared at by humans. It was too late to hide. The flying missiles shot down all the alien fighters neatly.

The short battle ended with the loss of a destroyer, but the submarine under the water successfully locked several possible sound sources of alien warships based on the location of the fighter plane.

When the news spread, the warships of various countries that were heading south at full speed all came to a sudden stop. Next, they looked for allies on the spot. No matter which country they were from, as long as they were human warships, they would gather together first. Until they gathered enough forces, these temporary fleets slowed down and continued to move south cautiously.

The only exception was an aircraft carrier battle group hundreds of kilometers away from the battlefield.

After destroying the enemy aircraft, the F-35C did not leave, but continued to hover over the battlefield. Soon after, the P-3C from the same aircraft carrier arrived at the battlefield and dropped several buoy sonars into the water, but unfortunately no suspicious targets were found.

After a while, several CH-53s arrived at the war zone and rescued the survivors in the water... There were more than 300 officers and soldiers on the ship, but only more than 40 were rescued in the end.

Soon after, the aircraft carrier battle group arrived and completely controlled the sea area. The aircraft carrier battle group almost turned the sea area over, but they could not find the alien warships, and even the suspected sound source disappeared.

Losing a destroyer is nothing, the problem is that they didn't even touch the edge of the aliens, which is too unreasonable.

All countries are very clear about the consequences of alien landings, and immediately issued a death order to their own fleets, at all costs, to find the alien warships.

It is a coincidence that the fleet, like a headless fly, could not find any trace of the enemy ship, and the satellite that had lost its target accidentally found a suspicious shadow underwater near the South Orkney Islands.

The joint command judged that the target of this enemy ship is likely to be the southernmost tip of South America!

It is very likely that the aliens will reoccupy South America, or it is possible that the aliens who occupied South America at the beginning have not died out. No matter which possibility is unacceptable to humans.

But distant water cannot quench immediate thirst. There is no human fleet near the South Orkney Islands at all, and the nearest fleet is more than a thousand kilometers away.
