I Want to Ride the Star Han Buddha Volume Summary and Reflections
I Want to Ride the Stars - Summary and Remarks of the Volume of the World Honored One
This novel is about to end.
The World Honored One is a very important volume. In the history of the book, the Middle Ages is considered to be an era that connects the past and the future. And the World Honored One is an unavoidable legend in the Middle Ages.
As far as the structure of the whole novel is concerned, the World Honored One also plays a key role in concluding all the previous branches and continuing the ending. It is like the neck of an hourglass.
After thinking about it, a more appropriate metaphor should be "robbing a tomb", because it is not in the middle, but in the end.
I have always had a "fear of insufficient firepower", which is reflected in the fact that before concluding the clues and filling the pits, I always feel that I am not prepared enough, whether the foreshadowing is not enough, whether the emotions are not enough, whether the preparation is not enough, and even whether my state is not enough...
I always feel that I need to lay the groundwork again and "wait a little longer".
This "wait a little longer" and "wait until when" are often the source of reading anxiety.
I also always have such self-comfort - I have to do this. For a better story as a whole, I should wait until the perfect moment. In the process of foreshadowing and laying the thread, sometimes the unavoidable reading experience is not exciting enough, which is for the ultimate sacrifice. (Maybe I still think so now)
But when it ranked first in the three lists last year, I was thinking again-
This is the first work on the list.
If we use the first standard to demand it, where is the word "enough"?
Even if it is "enough", it should be "enough" to go to a better place, not to say that it is enough.
If readers have given the author the greatest support without limit, then can the author write worthy of this support?
Not only "All Become Today's Me", not only "Heavenly White Jade Capital".
It has to be better, and it has to be done a little better.
I want to take into account everything, the overall story, and the reading experience. I wonder if the process of foreshadowing can also be more exciting, and if the process of laying the thread can also be regarded as a part of the excitement.
It was in this mood that the volume of "The World Honored One" was born.
This is my greater writing ambition.
I was thinking about this when I wrote Huazhang Tianqiu.
Including Zhuge Yixian, Chu Liezong Xiong Ji, and Huang Weizhen, the most exciting Chu land, their big scenes were deliberately left to be written later.
If there are readers who followed the book at that time and happened to have finished reading the complexity of the current "Guanlan Tianzi San" game, they should be able to understand. My mental and physical state at that time was completely insufficient to support such writing.
An author's writing ability is not only his writing skills, writing time, but also the effort he puts in, which has a huge relationship with his state.
Especially for an author like me who needs emotions more.
There are ups and downs in the long-term uninterrupted serialization process.
Fortunately, after the search of "Chaowen Dao", I believed that I could do this step again, so I opened the world.
Back to the writing of this volume.
The title of the volume is "World Honored One", but in fact the whole article is asking-
What is the World Honored One?
In fact, the whole article is about how Jiang Wang can get close to the World Honored One!
After being beaten by reality and realizing that "young people should know when to advance and when to retreat", he has long been adhering to the principle of being within the sword enclosure.
He sometimes takes a look outside the sword enclosure and tries desperately, but most of the time he knows... "If you cross the sword, you will die." Too many people have told him this.
At the peak level, he no longer has too many external threats, and can implement his own will and his own principles, and start to do something more or less in the world.
This is "the sound under my sword".
It is "justice cannot only be in the human heart".
It is the palace of hearing the truth in the morning.
The preface of "The World Honored One" is "free, blazing, dignified, name, noble, and auspicious".
I believe that many careful readers have discovered that after each preface, nineteen chapters are the next preface.
The first keyword I wrote is "name".
According to "The Six Meanings of Bhagavan" -
Meaning of name: Tathagata has perfected all the extraordinary merits, and all the worlds in the ten directions know it, so it is called name.
So I wrote that all the worlds know it, and the gods spread his name.
The second word I wrote is "blazing".
Blazing means: the fierce flame of the Tathagata's wisdom is boundless, so it is called blazing.
So I wrote about how Jiang Wang's wisdom and courage burned on the Guanhe Terrace and finally manifested like a flame.
The third word I wrote is "dignified".
Dignified means: the Tathagata's thirty-two aspects are solemn and wonderful, so it is called dignified.
The Chu Emperor decided the prince, which was a solemn thing.
Jingli became a Buddha, which is the thirty-two aspects.
Jiang Wang had six aspects and preached in the heavenly palace. Jianzhu had ten thousand aspects and attained the Tao in the heavenly palace.
Different paths lead to the same destination, both are dignified.
The fourth word is "honorable".
Honorable means: the Tathagata was born in the palace from the Tushita Heaven. After becoming a monk. He ascended to the throne. It is convenient to benefit all sentient beings. Therefore, it is called honorable.
I wrote about Ji Fengzhou, who was the most honorable in status, Bolu, who died for his ideals, and Gu Shiyi, who came for justice.
I think what is noble is a matter of opinion.
Just as Jiang Wang said at the end, the nobility of the Buddha lies in "conveniently benefiting all sentient beings."
Of course, this is just his opinion.
The fifth word I wrote is "freedom."
The meaning of freedom: Tathagata is never bound by any afflictions. Therefore, it is called freedom.
My plan is that Ye Xiaohua dies in this chapter, revenge is true, and she will be at peace forever.
The sixth word I wrote is "auspicious".
The meaning of auspiciousness: Tathagata has excellent virtues. Therefore, all the world. Praise the supporters.
Here I write that the will of heaven is like a knife, and the auspiciousness and inauspiciousness of white bones.
At the same time, the word auspicious also refers to Wang Changji and Wang Changxiang.
And Wang Changji and Wang Changxiang are the inauspiciousness of white bones.
The chapter "auspicious" is already the 96th chapter. According to the outline when I opened the volume, I should have ended this volume in the 115th chapter, considering the difficulty of tying up all the threads in the usual closing, or in the 134th chapter. The final name is "World Honored One".
This chapter name is also answering the process of walking all the way to World Honored One.
But when the writing process of this volume was more than halfway through, about "riding the chariot to the Milky Way", I suddenly had other ideas.
I decided to mention the nameless person who was going to be killed later, and to combine it with the existing ending. The big plot of [Transcendence of the Jar] broke out in advance.
The reason for this choice is partly because I want to finish the book as soon as possible. These are the pits that must be filled by the readers. If one is filled earlier, it can be finished earlier. Of course, the more important reason is that I think this is a better choice for the entire novel structure.
But this leads to a problem - the two consecutive big plots at the end must be connected together, affect each other, and reconnect the broken lines. For writing, the difficulty is not just one plus one.
I believe that many readers also feel how complicated the game of "Guanlan Tianzi San" is.
When writing about the death of the nameless person, there are also readers asking - "Isn't this the ending?"
Usually I should end the book with a plot of this level, and then rest exhausted...
But here I have to continue.
Because the original ending has not been written yet.
If you make a mind map of "Guan Lan Tian Zi San" when you read it back, it will be more intuitive to see how the lines involved in each character, including the substitute, are intertwined and unfold.
However, the text is two-dimensional, and it is flat and cannot be presented at the same time. It has to write these out bit by bit, and try to make the readers see it clearly and understand it, and it has to be as beautiful as possible. It is not as simple as drawing a three-dimensional picture.
There is also a very serious problem that will affect the reader's reading experience-
Two consecutive transcendence games, the protagonist cannot have a highlight! The protagonist is marginalized. And it is continuous and marginalized for a long time!
Sometimes it is such a dilemma-
If the protagonist is required to grasp the key in the transcendence game, the overall structure will collapse. If these two pits are properly filled, the protagonist can only play a supporting role.
The dilemma is not just that-
If you want to maintain the style of the transcendent, you should not write in detail about the battle process of the transcendent. But to be responsible to the readers, you should not avoid the concretization of imagination.
I said a long time ago that I fight clumsy battles like Cao Jie. I honestly dug a hole, filled a hole, and when I mentioned the pretentiousness, I went to complete the pretentiousness. Although it was thankless in many cases, I felt that this was the greatest responsibility to the readers and the work.
I described the deaths of two transcendents in detail.
Especially the one of the nameless one, which was almost a live teaching of killing the transcendent.
From determining the battlefield, determining the era, determining the time... step by step to actually killing him.
I need to maintain the power level of the transcendent, but I also want him to be killed clearly, with clear process and complete details - this is also contradictory in itself.
Because all the pretentiousness beyond imagination falls from imagination when it is presented in detail.
I can only do my best. Because presentation itself is the responsibility of the author.
(Including many times, many readers will say that the author has this point of view or that point of view, but in fact the author has no point of view. That is the point of view of the character in the book, just an expression based on the character's own values.)
When the nameless one died in the end, I saw many people saying... it was too difficult to kill!
Then I think, this is enough.
It is indeed difficult to kill him, and the process of killing him is convincing, which achieves the purpose of writing.
The plot of the nameless one was originally in the back. I designed that after the real Ksitigarbha was born, everyone killed the nameless one, and Ksitigarbha came to take him as Di Ting. It has a bit of the meaning of "taking away all the monsters with backers".
But after repeated consideration, I still think it is better to resolve this plot in this volume.
The Chu emperor who went to the sea changed from Xiong Ji to Xiong Zidu.
But the direction of the story did not change.
Everything Jiang Wang did before the volume, all the "ringing under my sword", was for him to stand in front of Ksitigarbha in the end and say what is the World Honored One.
After the name, the blazing, and the solemn, Jiang Wang is really close to the World Honored One!
But he is far from the World Honored One.
He has not yet received the same respect from all beings, nor has he given all beings the same compassion.
The way of heaven is great love like ruthlessness, giving all beings the same coldness and love.
The World Honored One is truly compassionate, giving all beings the same love, but without the cold side.
This is of course an extremely ideal existence.
So He cannot really exist.
So He will never come back.
I had a flash of thought to let Jiang Wang say "I am the Buddha" as the highlight of his ending in this volume.
I believe I can write that picture brilliantly.
But in the end I gave up. Even in the last few paragraphs of the volume, there were rare scenes that were not of the protagonist.
Because Jiang Wang is not the World Honored One.
He is not following the path of the Blessed One.
He sees, he reveres, but he is himself. He has his own way unlike anyone else.
After writing this and looking back, I see that there are still a few things left. If I had enough time to polish them and had enough energy... I would definitely be able to do better.
Among them, what I personally regret is that Gu Shiyi did not write enough.
He is actually the person in this volume who is closest to the dignity of the Blessed One. That is, purity and "convenience for the benefit of all sentient beings."
When writing the character Gu Shiyi, I have always deliberately misled readers, making them think that he is the hero of the Equal Country. Suddenly opened later, his purity, his preciousness, and even his nobility are presented to everyone.
But the problem is that he has too little space. His story is too little.
Although I set up a lot of experiences for him and interactions with different people, they are scattered throughout the chapters of the book. They are fleeting and can be missed if you are not paying attention. It is no wonder that some readers say "What did he do?" "It seems like Nothing has been done”.
And these experiences happened in the past! It hardly gives readers a real sense of reality. But those misguidances that Gu Shiyi was a divine hero were real.
This leads to the fact that not everyone can accept Gu Shiyi's purity. I even think he is a sloganeer.
In the final analysis, the character foundation is not thick enough.
It is also very simple to solve this problem - just arrange a scene where he and the protagonist experience together, so that readers can see his heart through the choices he is making.
For example, when he saved Jiang Wang and rejected the equal country, it was all mentioned by others later, and it did not have a profound personality expression.
But the problem is...
In such a compact plot arrangement in this volume. I had no place to give him a scene.
The role of Gu Shiyi is not significant enough. The weight here refers to his role in the entire story.
I definitely write mainly about characters such as Ji Fengzhou, Ye Xiaohua, Xiong Ji, Zhuge Yixian, Huang Weizhen, and Lou Yue.
In the scene where Gu Shiyi died, the focus was also on the plot of Jing Mie Yizhen. He is not even the protagonist in the East China Sea. The battle in the East China Sea is just a small part of the whole drama.
I can only give him a little portrayal through Ying Jianghong and other characters. And it is inevitable that it will be lost in the water of a dragonfly.
As mentioned above, I already know the pros and cons of writing this way, and finally made this writing choice.
Because sometimes writing is like life. You don't have a perfect choice. There is always a side of the scenery that you miss at the fork in the road.
I can only try my best to write what I think is the best chapter and dedicate it to the best readers.
But I'm not sure if it's the most popular one.
In the journey of life, none of us can win everything, can we?
I promised you very early on that I would try my best to properly fill in all the pitfalls and give you as complete an ending as possible on this journey.
This story ends when all the big holes are filled.
The story has developed to this point, and I believe everyone understands that there are not many pitfalls left.
Many people feel that it has been dug into a natural chasm that is impossible to manage, or it is a pit that many people have forgotten. I have worked hard to fill them all in one by one!
Now we look forward, it is a smooth road to the end!
Speaking of which, some readers suggested to me that I should forget about filling in the holes for now and just write a volume that is purely enjoyable and feel good first.
To be honest, I am interested in making a move, but my biggest concern is... I am afraid that the pleasure will collapse. Once you let go of the reins and run wildly, it's great, but how will you end up with it?
In the final analysis, having a beginning and an end is the most important pursuit of this book until now.
This volume is probably the one I update most frequently. Everyone knows the reason.
I have two spelling groups. Almost every day I am the first one to go to work and the last one to get off work.
I get up at eight o'clock every day, wipe my face and edit my essay, eat at twelve noon, then take a nap, drowsily stare at the computer in the afternoon, skip a few words for half a day, and turn off the computer at twelve o'clock in the evening. I feel sleepy every day.
My writing became more and more difficult, and I became more and more hesitant and hesitant. The further back I went, the less I knew how to properly explain everything in the past. It becomes increasingly difficult for me to concentrate, and when I go back to the previous article, I often stop and read in, and a long time has passed...
It's really time for this journey to come to an end.
I don’t want to write more in the last three to five months, slowly exhausting my writing energy and killing my enthusiasm for writing.
I did everything I could, and I shouldn't have too many regrets - maybe?
The moment I finished writing this volume, it was 11:40 noon yesterday, and I was very relaxed! Jumping around the room.
But I couldn't sleep at night.
There is no need for an alarm clock in the morning, but I just stay up until morning...
I didn't do anything. I just watched videos and read books. I woke up when I felt sleepy. I woke up very sleepy. Still not very energetic today.
I decided to lie down for a few days.
Eat more meals with friends.
I accidentally talked so much again.
That's it.
In my framework, this book originally had two volumes left at the end, but it was like the plot of the Nameless Man was transferred to the World Honored One and was used by Ksitigarbha. I also want to try and see if I can put the rest of the content into one volume. I am always afraid that if I continue to write, if I write for more time, I will become less able to write.
Give me a moment to think about how to do better.
How to have a good beginning and a good end.
Since I have talked so much, I would like to ask for a monthly ticket.
Vote for the minimum at the beginning of the month and vote for all at the end of the month, which is also a good beginning and a good end. If you don't vote, it will expire and be wasted.
…
Take a week off.
Next Tuesday, which is November 5th.
Restart the update.
Before that, I will talk to you about the new volume plan.
I have no clue yet.
I can't think about anything in the next two days. I will think about it after I have enough sleep.
——Why do I love you forever?
I really love you very much.
Without you, there would be no Chixin Tianxun today.
…
…
Finally, let me end with the words of Emperor Wu of Qi!
Accidents are like hair pressing on the pillow - inevitable.
National history is like dressing in front of the mirror - beautifying my face.
Thank you to everyone who really likes this book, no matter where you saw it or how you participated.
I hope this journey is a good experience.
Hello friends.
