Chapter 2398: Doubts

Your past illuminates your present, and your shadow is yourself!

What a great sorrow this is, but who can understand it?

"Jiang Jun!" Yu Zhen called out in a low voice, but in the end, she didn't let those emotions overflow.

From the White Bone Road, Xiyue Temple, and Sanfenxiang Tower, she walked all the way here, without stopping a step, without relaxing for a moment.

In the lonely years, she had long been accustomed to chewing on loneliness.

She sat on the futon, looking up at Jiang Wang, who was so familiar and strange with his golden hair and golden clothes, and raised a hand, and the sleeves slipped away. This hand swam like a spirit snake, turned behind her, and gently picked and cut a strand of wick on the swaying burning lamp, and the wick was still on fire.

She moved the hand holding the lamp in front of her. The slender jade fingers were like flowers blooming, and there was black hair in the snow. The candle flame jumped on the back of the fingers, casting a wonderful light and shadow on this hand, embedded in the ground, like a dark prisoner bird, wanting to fly but unable to.

Suddenly, the candle flame bloomed and formed a lotus shape.

The small light lotus blooming on the finger has twelve petals. They open evenly, each petal is different, and each petal has endless light and shadow.

When the light first blooms, the finger rests on the lotus. The shadow on her face has faded, and her extremely colorful facial features also show a bit of holiness. She opened her plump lips lightly: "Ask Jiang Jun, the lotus has twelve petals, each petal is different, born differently, grows differently, sees differently, and thinks differently. How to distinguish what they should do, what they should and shouldn't do?"

I don't think every petal knows what it should do.

The lotus blooms and withers independently.

Yi Tang of Renxin Pavilion sat there quietly. In the lotus lantern, everyone sees a different self.

Lu Gongxiang has been dead for thirty-two years.

He also grew from a child who knew medicine with a picture to the pillar of the sect today.

Yin Xiaoheng is still alive and well.

The calm expression was dimmed for a moment, leaving only a long and lonely sigh. But he never sighed out loud, only between his eyebrows and eyes.

"Let's talk about Buddha!" Tianren Faxiang raised his hand and pointed at the light lotus. When he pointed at the lotus, his finger was like a sword.

In Buddhism, wisdom is the sword. Use this sword to cut the thread of troubles!

With the blazing light shining on his face, Tianxiang said indifferently: "The Buddha said that there are twelve causes and conditions, and this lotus is borne on the stem. They are - ignorance, action, consciousness, name and color, six senses, contact, feeling, love, grasping, existence, birth, old age and death."

This is the basic doctrine of fundamental Buddhism as described in the Agama Sutra. It is also called the "Twelve Links of Dependent Origination".

The law of dependent origination is an eternal and unchanging truth. The Buddha became enlightened by observing this truth.

Whether it is Mount Xumi, the Hanging Temple, or the Xiyue Temple, this sutra cannot be avoided.

Every time Tianren Faxiang said a word, the lotus petals on the back of Yuzhen's finger gave birth to the corresponding Sanskrit characters. It is the Buddha's cause and effect, which is born and dies according to fate.

Jiang Zhenjun kept saying that he "did not know Buddha", but the great way leads to heaven, and different paths lead to the same destination. He studied hundreds of schools of thought, never stopped learning, and had already reached the pinnacle, so he was no stranger to any of them. He also had a relationship with Kujue, a junior brother like Jingli, a good friend of Mount Xumi, and the protection of the Three Bells... In terms of the practice of Buddhism, it can't be said that he was not profound.

He can't be called a great monk, but he can be regarded as a lay Buddhist who has the Tao.

"Ignorance leads to action, action leads to consciousness, consciousness leads to name and form, name and form lead to the six sense organs, the six sense organs lead to contact, contact leads to feeling, feeling leads to love, love leads to grasping, grasping leads to existence, existence leads to birth, birth leads to old age, death, sorrow, and suffering--"

The celestial being said: "Since it has been named, it should have been aware. This is what the Buddhist scriptures say. The nun lives in a famous temple, lights a green lamp, and chants the scriptures. She should not be ignorant and should not have any doubts."

"Jiang Jun talked about the twelve causes and conditions, and I know it myself. Where I know it myself, do you know it? Love is greed. Grasping is false grasping. I can't refuse these two. When I encounter a happy state that I like, I will be greedy for it, and I must do my best to get it. This is my worldly heart!" Yu Zhen's eyes were lonely like a hanging moon, reflecting the quiet sea in front of her: "I have doubts! Is there no doubt in the Venerable?"

Zhuo Qingru listened and listened-it's not right.

Xiyue Temple True Transmission and Chaowen Dao Tiangong Master were discussing Buddhism seriously, but she felt uncomfortable listening to them.

Of course, she had read some Buddhist scriptures and had a basic understanding of Buddhism. Who would look down on the current prominent learning?

These two people were discussing the Buddha of Light and the Twelve Causes and Conditions Lotus, and they were talking about the same thing. But there seemed to be some emotions flowing between the lines, especially the nun Yuzhen. Was she so devoted to the discussion? Every word was like the past.

She looked at Yuzhen and then at Jiang Wang, wishing she could hand over the pen - what was the past between the two of them?

Fortunately, everyone in the hall was also paying attention to this discussion, so she was not very conspicuous.

"The two causes in the past are ignorance and action. The five results in the present are consciousness, name and form, six sense organs, contact and feeling. The three causes in the present are love, attachment and existence. The two results in the future are birth, old age and death." The celestial being stood there sideways, standing like this is a long distance, and gently clasped his hands: "The past causes the present results. The present causes the future results. The past events must be learned, and must not be seen in front of us."

He can talk about the cause and effect, he can talk about the past of Randeng, he reads the Agama Sutra, and he knows the twelve causes and conditions.

At this state today, he understands everything. He is no longer the ignorant boy who saw the mountain collapse like the sky collapse in front of Yuheng Peak, and he is no longer the helpless and powerless lonely soul outside Fenglin City.

But the only thing he didn't say was whether he had doubts.

Yu Zhen's eyes were very calm, and he just raised his hand and pointed at the lotus: "This lotus is just an ordinary light, why does your Excellency call it 'karma'?"

"It can be any name. No matter how it is decorated or what shape it takes, it has already happened." The celestial being glanced at the light lotus indifferently: "From the perspective of Buddhism, it is just to make the nun understand."

But they all know that the Buddha of the past is Ran Deng.

This lotus-shaped Ran Deng is the past that they cannot avoid.

Ye Laner, who was sitting in the "Fifth", did not look at Jiang Wang, but looked at Yu Zhen's profile from the side from beginning to end. Her face did not have the usual perfect expression, but a slightly imperfect sigh - Yu Zhen, Yu Zhen, why did you choose to enter Xiyue Temple?

Even if someone like you really wants to escape from the Buddhist world, you should go to the Hanging Temple to cultivate the present, and go to Mount Xumi to cultivate the future, but not here. How can people who can never get rid of the past understand the past? They say they are escaping, but they are still obsessed.

The more they practice, the more obsessed they are, and the more they understand, the less they can be empty.

But she did not speak. She knew that Mei Yue had only one answer - I am willing.

If there is anyone in the world who really understands Jiang Wang, Yu Zhen, the nun of Xiyue Temple, can certainly be counted as one of them.

So she should be very clear about what answer she will get when she comes to the Heavenly Palace to hear the Dao today. She also understands that the celestial Dharma is the one with the most indifferent emotions and can cut off emotions the most.

But she still came.

Yu Zhen, who knows everything, asked: "The lotus has twelve petals, you have six aspects, and I have four. I want to ask Jiang Jun, which petal, which aspect, which face can be the same, is the real me?"

This nun sitting on the futon has four faces, Bai Lian, Mei Yue, Miao Yu, and Yu Zhen.

Jiang Wang saw Miao Yu in the Sanfenxiang Tower, met Bai Lian in Yu Heng, met Yu Zhen in Xiyue Temple, and knew that Mei Yue was in Nandou, so she knew all four sides.

All their faces, probably only they know each other in this Chaowendao Palace.

It's hard to describe the myriad of things!

After all, the celestial beings have a high level of cultivation, and they said in a long voice: "The flowers are all lotus, and the six aspects are all proof of me. Master Yu Zhen, your four faces have become your present. I once thought I could overcome everything and I had everything, but in fact we are all pushed by time. You and I can't get rid of the past, we are just ordinary people."

He raised his palm and saluted: "I hope you will gain something from coming to Chaowendao Palace and hear the Tao."

It's time to end. This is a question!

But Yu Zhen held up the lotus flower and continued to ask: "Now I am still an ordinary person, what if I want to transcend?"

"How difficult is it to transcend! It is beyond reach." The celestial being said indifferently: "I don't know what will happen tomorrow, and I don't know what I will be in the future, especially I dare not talk about transcendence."

"Although the road is long, it is also hopeful to see it when I raise my eyes." Yu Zhen said: "I think people like you have the answer in their hearts."

After a long silence, the celestial being said: "After transcendence, I am still Jiang Wang."

Yu Zhen raised the lotus flower to her lips and blew it gently-

The lotus petals flew one by one.

Twelve petals, infinite illusion, filled the sky for a while.

She smiled, and the smile was really bitter: "You pointed to this flower as a cause and condition, which led to the Buddha's twelve causes. Let me ask, which petal is its wish, which Jiang Jun is the truth, and which Yu Zhen is the self-attachment?"

The celestial being opened his mouth to speak, but when the words came to his lips, he didn't know what to say.

Yes, which petal is her wish?

Is it all due to your heart that you, Jiang Wang, have come to this day?

Are the demon apes, immortal dragons, sentient beings, and celestial beings all true nature?

It is always easy for people to ask others, but difficult to ask themselves!

The petals in the sky, each one has light and shadow flowing through it, as if telling something.

But in countless nights, when I open my eyes, there are always many eyes looking at me.

The past cannot be changed.

The past is gone forever.

The celestial beings and the Dharma are indifferent to emotions and opened their mouths: "Next-"

"Don't be the next one!" The nun of Xiyue Temple stood up all of a sudden, and her plain black clothes rolled up. The emotions hidden under the green lamp surged like a tide in an instant, and could no longer be silent! "I want you to answer me at this moment! Jiang Wang! I passed the test and entered the palace. My name is on the seat. This is the Chaowendao Palace, and I am seeking the Tao!"

The palace was quiet for a while.

Even a blind person could see that something was wrong with them.

The armored man sitting in the first seat looked at the True Lord Jiang Wang in front of him, and then looked at the Yuzhen nun next to him, tilting his head, wondering what he was thinking.

The short and stout Sheng Xuehuai supported his chin with his hand, and a smile appeared on his ugly face. Things became interesting at this time. As the first talent of Sheng country, the romantic among Taoist scholars, and the poet who wrote poems on the pile of makeup, he really didn't have much patience for those serious questions.

The hearts of those who seek the truth are different, and the appearance of heaven and man is almost expressionless.

He said, "Master Yuzhen, you lost your composure."

"I am very rude, but I am very clear-headed. I know what I want and I can see my heart clearly." Yuzhen was calm at this time and just looked at him: "Jiang Jun, you will not lose your composure, but can you face your heart?"

"Your Tao is not here." The heavenly Dharma said only: "You are a disciple of Xiyue Temple. The Tao is in the Brahma Sutra. In the past solemn calamity, the Supreme Dingguang Tathagata."

Yuzhen put his palms together. At this moment, the treasure is solemn, and there is an infinite halo of light behind the lamp: "My Buddha is in front of me."

Fan Zheng opened his mouth wide.

For him, who is only ten years old this year, this sentence is really shocking.

It was not someone's arrangement for him to come to Chaowendao Palace, but his own idea.

The roof of the Fan family is too heavy. He can't figure out many things, but occasionally he wants to come out for a breath of fresh air.

But no matter how he is called the "Xianyang Prodigy" and how he is compared with the eight-year-old Gan Chang'an, he is still far from considering the major events in his life. That prime minister of the Great Qin State prematurely taught him some things that the heir of the Fan family should understand but he actually didn't want to understand.

When he was young, he had always been taught about human nature, the art of strategy, and the knowledge of hundreds of schools of thought. How could he have felt such passionate emotions?

He had never seen the spring in the suburbs of Xianyang.

But who can say that this is not seeking the Tao?

In this Chaowendao Palace, in front of Yuzhen, a dark cave quietly appeared, as if connected to the endless abyss, the eternal hell.

"May the Supreme Master comprehend it soon. No fear or fear, and achieve transcendence and eternal freedom."

Yuzhen said, took a step forward, jumped into it, and his black clothes fluttered, and disappeared with the dark cave.

The heavenly Dharma image still stood there, and after a moment of silence, he said: "All those who enter the Heavenly Palace today are seeking the Tao--"

Perhaps he also felt that this sentence was not very powerful.

He paused: "Next."

The master of Chaowendao Palace walked to his futon and sat down slowly.

The heavenly Dharma image was indifferent, and the sun and moon heavenly seal was eternal and ruthless.

He sat there, fixed his body and lowered his eyes, as if he could sit forever. He was really a pious seeker of the Tao and a sincere preacher--

But suddenly stood up again!

Not only him.

In the entire Chaowendao Palace, everyone was sharp-eyed and well-informed. They all received the shocking news at this moment, and were stunned and shocked on the spot!

Zhong Xuanyin's knife and pen shook, and he made a mistake in carving the letter. He had to start over again. But he couldn't care less. A new storm was being born and was about to sweep over. Who among the seekers of Tao in the Palace today could stay out of it, or how many people were already in it?

Yu Xianyu even lost his voice: "How could it be?!"

Ding!

There was a timely bell outside the Palace.

It was originally a bell to wake up the seekers of Tao, which could help the seekers of Tao to understand the rhyme of Tao, but at this moment it seemed to announce the end.

The third day of the third month of the 3930th year of the Taoist calendar was destined to be a day engraved in history books.

On this day, the Chaowendao Palace was opened, and Zhenhe Zhenjun sat in the Palace in the form of a celestial being, preaching the Tao to the world. The thirty-six seats in the palace were all full. On this day, Xiong Zidu of Chu was released from prison. A monk named Fanshijue was appointed as the national teacher of Great Chu, and Xiong Ji, the son of Chu, launched the last round of purges in the Huangji Palace.

It was also on this day.

Tianmayuan, which was heavily blocked and never allowed to be explored, was raining blood.

The rain this spring may be too abundant!

Lying on the magnificent body of Taoism on the Tianma Plateau, he opened his eyes and looked at the sky blankly.

His armor was broken, and only fragments of his weapons were left.

His heart had been dug out, his limbs were cut off, and there were many scars on his face, from different weapons, like a chessboard carved on his face. His death was extremely miserable, proclaiming a kind of deep hatred.

A general who had frightened countless opponents and asked all parties to retreat was killed here.

His name was Yin Xiaoheng.
