Summary of August

In August, we held an offline gathering of alliance leaders.

A similar gathering was held before, two years ago.

Based on everyone's understanding of my writing speed, they originally expected me to take leave during the gathering. They also said that they would help me take the blame and withstand the readers' scolding.

At that time, we didn't think that Chixin Sky Survey would actually get the first place, and it was achieved in July before the gathering.

Asking for leave after getting first place is bound to make me look like a big shot...

In order to keep updating, I am frantically collecting manuscripts. When they are at the party, they are singing, playing board games, playing five-person games, playing billiards... I am looking for places to write and revise my articles.

I stay up until three or four in the middle of the night, and still take out my notebook when I wake up in the morning.

Fortunately, I have completed my writing goals relatively well.

At the party, everyone also had many fantasies, saying things like hard work will pay off, but no one expected that the results in August would be even better.

Throughout August, we have been on the best-selling list.

On July 31st, the average subscription was 37,700. On August 31st, the average subscription reached 44,200.

This August is a bit dreamy. A book with 6.8 million words has increased by 6,500 subscriptions in one month.

This month, we are still the first in monthly tickets.

To be honest, it is a bit dazed.

I think in addition to everyone's support for this book and the monthly ticket red envelope reward for five-star honor works, it is also because the writing of the first 6.8 million words of this novel was really done with heart.

The emotions I poured into the lines were felt by the readers. In the unknown time in the past, my journey with some readers was seen by more readers.

Most of the dozens of new alliances recently are new readers. This shows that this novel, which has been serialized for nearly four years, is still attracting new readers.

My writing level in 2019 is definitely not as good as my writing level in 2023. I have not slacked off for a day in these years. If I have not made progress, it would be too wasteful.

So if new readers have complaints about some plots, it is understandable. I hope old readers don’t blame them - new readers have not entered this world yet, and old readers have been traveling in this world for a long time. The freshness that everyone feels is still a mirror in the eyes of passers-by.

It’s still the same sentence - if some readers don’t like this book, it must not be the problem of these readers. Everyone is born with different preferences. Of course, it won’t be my problem. I wrote so hard and I have done everything I can. I can only say that reading sometimes requires fate.

I am a very confident person, but the current performance of "Red Heart Sky Patrol" does not mean that we can make a final conclusion and say that this is such an excellent work.

At most, we can only say that the first 6.8 million words were indeed written with heart, but how it is written afterwards remains to be seen.

I always think that the most important part of a novel is its ending.

Only when we see the three words "The whole book is finished" can we comprehensively examine the book - does it have a good beginning and a good end? Does it build a complete world? Does it live up to the expectations along the way?

When we read, we must see the spirit that runs through the whole book, and see that the stars in the sky form a bunch of flowers, and the thousands of threads finally become the crown and clothes.

The ancients said that the finishing touch is the finishing touch. Without the last stroke, the dragon cannot be real.

I am not sure I can do it well, but as I promised when I first opened the book - I will do my best to do it.
