Volume 9 Summary and Remarks
For some reason, the boiled water I drank today tasted a bit bitter, which reminded me of the salty and astringent seawater that Gao Jie swallowed.
Looking back on the writing of the entire ninth volume, it was really a dream.
The chapters of Mirror Flower and Water Moon can be divided into two parts, the Demon World Chapter and the Mystery World Chapter.
Although I had expected the difficulty of writing and was strictly advancing according to the writing plan, it was indeed more difficult to write than expected.
The Demon World Chapter is a brand new way of writing for me. When the protagonist hardly shows up and can only watch, the setting of the entire demon world is laid out.
The first half can be classified as "behind the scenes"?
But it can't write the fun points of the behind-the-scenes flow. What about playing big chess, pretending to be a pig to eat the tiger, jumping out to overturn the chessboard... none of them can be written.
Because our Jiang Wang can't jump out of the mirror world, he has to say goodbye when he comes out.
Compared with the vast number of strong men in the entire demon clan, he doesn't need to pretend to be a pig, he is originally. He can only be eaten.
And the whole process was targeted by the will of the demon world, and the chess moves were destined to be fruitless.
In the case that the protagonist does not appear, the story is completely advanced by new characters, and a lot of settings need to be laid out, and there are so many restrictions, how to write a good story and write it attractively is a problem that I must think about.
So after Jiang Wang suddenly fell, I first had a battle in Wu'an City, using the collision between Zuo Xiao, Jiang Mengxiong, Yuan Xianting, and Zhu Yi to raise expectations.
Many characters related to Jiang Wang are used to jointly outline the waiting for Jiang Wang to return home. Let the readers be in that atmosphere of expectation and waiting.
Then the picture of the demon world began to slowly unfold.
Of course, while outlining those waiting and expectations, laying down foreshadowing by the way is also what a qualified author should do.
As the most powerful opponent of the human race and the old enemy that has continued since ancient times, the demon race is too important and must be heavily painted. Otherwise, the weight of the whole story is lost.
But Jiang Wang cannot move, which is the biggest limitation. He can only sit at the bottom of the well and wait for the sun to rise and the moon to set. Observe everything in the demon world from a narrow perspective.
This is a chapter that is destined to be depressing, very depressing. Because all of Jiang Wang's efforts will fail, and all his plans will be in vain. Continuous hope, continuous despair, continuous efforts, continuous defeat... Repeating this process all the time.
So I try to write more easily, and use a relatively humorous style to ease this depression.
But in fact, the background of this part of the story is very cruel when you peel off Chai Asi's overconfidence, Yuan Mengji's only foolishness, and Yu Xin's live swearing.
It was not until the Shenxiao Bureau was laid out that the story reached its climax.
This is the most difficult copy to write so far, with many characters, extremely complex clues and entangled with each other, and infinitely shuttled in time and space.
Let's review their names now-
Xiong Sansi (Rao Bingzhang), Yu Xin, Zhu Lanruo, Zhu Zheng, Yang Yu, Quan Xihua, Shu Jialan, Lu Qilang, Yuan Mengji, Chai Asi, Zhu Dali, She Guyu.
Zhu Xian, Quan Yingyang.
Chan Fayuan, Ji Xingkong, Hu Taisui, Lu Ximing, Zhu Yi, Xuan Nangong, Yuan Xianting, and Mi Zhiben.
Xingnian, Xie Ai,
He Hua Ting, Yuan Xi, Yu Zhen, and Chai Yin.
In a short Shenxiao Bureau, including Jiang Wang, 29 characters dance together.
Each has his own plans and wants.
After a few months, when you see these names again, can you still remember them?
Horizontally unfolding is the power structure of the entire demon clan, Black Lotus Temple, Gunan Mountain, Fengshen Terrace, and Taigu Imperial City.
Vertically shuttle is the tracing of history, He Hua Ting in the depths of time, Chai Yin thousands of years ago, Yu Zhen and Yuan Xi ten thousand years ago, and even the more ancient Bu Lian.
When I wrote about the lonely boat crossing the Tianhe River by Zen Master Xingnian, President Qin asked me in the group, this is so big, Jiang Wang hasn't returned home yet, how to continue?
This is already a climax, and the wave has not stopped until now. From the reader's perspective, you can also feel how difficult it is to write later.
I just say, don't worry.
When I wrote about Xu Xiangqian's "I visited here" and the Fountain of Youth recognized its master, I could fully feel that the readers' emotions were full and their expectations had reached the peak.
The chapter "Carrying a book and becoming famous all over the world" is only 4,000 words long, but the chapter notes are as long as 3,000 words!
On average, there are three comments for every four words. Everyone is discussing the plot enthusiastically, and the chapter notes are longer than the main text.
If the book ends here and a climax is drawn to let Jiang Wang go home, the readers' emotions should be comparable to the meeting of the sword immortals at the Yellow River.
But Jiang Wang can't just go back like this.
Because the portrayal of the demon race is not enough, and the pattern of the demon race has not yet been revealed.
The strength of a person is reflected by his opponent. If the demon race is not magnificent enough, how can the human race that overthrows the demon race be called great?
The temporary peak destroys the overall structure of the novel.
However, when the emotions reach the climax, they cannot burst out immediately, and they have to keep enduring and forbearing, which gives people a very torturous feeling.
This is the 1003rd chapter, and the end of the Shenxiao Bureau is the 122nd chapter.
The interval of 19 chapters is not that long.
But because I can only write one chapter a day, it took me more than half a month to write.
I also want to finish it in one go, but writing is not like moving bricks. I can't move more bricks by gritting my teeth. I also need to be energetic, emotionally stable, and inspired to advance the story with stable quality.
I understand the torture of slow writing on readers, especially when emotions are already piled up. But I really can't write a single extra word. There are many days when I update because I have a headache and can't write at night. I set the alarm the next morning and get up at 6 or 7 o'clock to write again. I always finish it on time.
So I always say please take care of the book. If some readers are anxious to read it, they can wait until the end.
Most readers have given me patience. But there are always a few people who interrupt me at regular times and points every day, and curse me.
I'm almost used to it. I just advise at the end of the chapter that if you don't like it or simply think the book is bad, it's okay. Now the Internet is very developed and there are many good works. You can go and read other things first. Put the heart of red for a while.
Then someone posted a reply to me-you asked me not to read the book, and I asked you not to watch me scold you. Isn't this reasonable?
It's so damn reasonable.
I can only ignore it.
Why do I say that writing Shenxiao Bureau is too difficult?
When Jiang Wang arrived at the Fountain of Youth to recognize its master, he couldn't leave yet, and of course he couldn't die, and the story had to have ups and downs.
Each character must have his own behavioral logic, and Jiang Wang had to wander in the gaps. As the protagonist, he had to connect the story lines and give readers a main perspective. As a relatively small ant in the Shenxiao Bureau, he had to shine his own light.
So I gave a lot of settings to make the whole story evolve reasonably. Zen Master Xingnian has no evil outside the sky, Quan Yingyang seeks the new world of Dongzhen, Ji Xingkong sees the Sansheng Lanyin flower, and Xuannan Gong wants to cast the body of the God King...
All the requests are in vain, and Yu Zhen finally gets one tenth.
What I used to take the lonely boat across the Tianhe River and take the Fountain of Youth to recognize its master... was Yuan Xi's time asking, Chai Yin was free and unrestrained, Yu Zhen lost one tenth, and Bu Lian completely disappeared in time.
Of course, readers who have read to this day know that there is another very important clue about Bu Lian - the fate starts from Bu Lian and ends with Yu Beidou.
The entire Shenxiao Bureau is a series of characters, many of whom are very charming and I personally like them very much. Of course, in addition to the dazzling excitement, too many clues are intertwined, which will indeed make some readers who do not have the patience to enter that world feel "dizzy", dizzy, tired and exhausted.
There is no way to do this, no plot can satisfy everyone.
I have to thank the readers for their support.
With my stable update of 4,000 words every day, the subscription of the Demon Realm has been steadily increasing. After the Shenxiao Bureau was launched, the crazy growth mode started, and it has risen to 38,000!
You should know that He Chongtian's subscription has always been 18,000 to 20,000, which has put a lot of pressure on me. And the Shenxiao Bureau has nearly doubled.
This is a novel with 6 million words!
And "Red Heart Patrol" can still have such reader stickiness, with so many and more readers following the update of only 4,000 words every day.
It is these readers who make me sure that I can try more writing possibilities. It was these readers who told me that what really moved readers was the quality of the story and the emotions poured into the text.
In a fast-paced society, people generally pursue the result of "thinking and having it at the same time", but my readers can tolerate my slow writing.
I have always said that your expression of the world is your choice of the world.
You like it, vote for it, subscribe to it, support it with real money, and express your love with real feelings, which is telling the world what kind of work you want.
Similarly, you hate it, criticize it, and spit on it on various occasions, which is also telling the world what kind of work you don't want.
I think everyone can understand it.
The only type of people I can't understand are those who have to read every chapter, and because Qidian piracy is doing well now, they have to pay to read every chapter, and then they have to curse every chapter.
What's the purpose?
After more than six million words, you still follow every chapter and read those four thousand words on time. That can only be because I write too well and write so well that you can't stop.
Otherwise, can it be because you love me?
There are tens of thousands of novels updated every day on the Internet, but you chose to be sincere like the 38,000 current subscribers... The body is very honest!
I have indeed trained my mentality well now. You know, I was the person who found it unbearable to even have people say that it was watery at the beginning. I think I wrote it so carefully, how can you say that it was watery?
Later I found that many people were saying that any novel was watery...
One day I saw an author friend say in the group, "I really doubt whether my readers are in the desert, why do they send me distress signals every day."
Hahaha.
Let me be serious, really, if no one gives you money, if you don't hate me to the bone, don't mess with my mentality anymore.
I haven't competed for the list for a long time, and I haven't asked for monthly tickets for a long time.
My energy has been exhausted by those people who swipe the screen and attack all day long in the God's Arrival Volume. So now I can only update 4,000 words a day.
I just want to finish this story peacefully and steadily, and fully outline my fairy world without any regrets.
Some people say that there is a negative emotion collection system in "What is Love?", and the more people scold, the better it is written.
Damn it! I really am not!
What do you think the author has to deal with every day?
You think you are just a person who vents his emotions, and you have to vent when you are unhappy.
Have you ever thought about whether you can bear hundreds or thousands of negative emotions?
The most criticized part of Red Heart Sky Patrol is that it has been written so far.
One is Zhu Biqiong's return from the Tianfu Secret Realm. People have always said that this was saved by the big alliance. My alliance leaders are all readers who really like this book, and no one has ever tried to interfere with my creation.
One is the Yellow River Meeting. At that time, many people said that it was useless to portray so many useless characters, and that the book should not be read after this point.
One is Jiang Wang's single-handed duel on the general stage, and he lost to Chong Xuanzun.
One is Lin Youxie. Many people say that she always targets Jiang Wang. This character is too disgusting and annoying.
After writing it to this point, thinking back on these stories, is there really anything worth criticizing?
If Zhu Biqiong died at that time, how would Fu Hai's line be closed? Should I write a pair of twins again and add another plot?
As the story progresses to this point, which character in the Yellow River Meeting did not shine? Which character is useless? Is there still a need to question it?
If Chong Xuanzun lost that battle, his sense of oppression would collapse immediately. Are his injuries and his fighting side by side with Jiang Wang still moving?
Needless to say, Lin Youxie is now one of the most missed female characters.
I have written six million words. The quality is visible and the hard work can be felt. Can six million words give me a little more confidence? In many cases... wait a little longer?
On January 29th of the Gregorian calendar, a person named "XXX" (I originally wrote his ID, but deleted it after thinking about it) on Weibo sent me three comments.
One was "Happy Death Day".
Many people know that it was my birthday that day.
One was "Hurry up and hang up", commenting on a Weibo post in which I said that I had a cough and it didn't get better.
One was "Congratulations". This Weibo post was commenting on my commemoration of my grandmother. On December 27, 2022, my grandmother passed away. I wrote a Weibo post on that day, and he congratulated me on this.
I have never spent money to buy a leader, a monthly ticket, or even a monthly ticket red envelope since I started writing books until now (this is a formal ranking channel recognized by the platform).
Some people say that Chixin became famous through operation and cheating, and that so many alliance leaders were bought.
I offered a reward of 200,000 yuan for self-proof, but no one has come to take the money so far. Do they not love money? I slapped them in the face with 200,000 yuan, but they dared not react! They have been barking in the gutter, but never dared to come to me.
I write so innocently.
It was like this when there were 200 monthly tickets, and it was also like this when there were 20,000 monthly tickets.
It was also like this when there were 60 average subscriptions, and it was also like this when there were 27,000 average subscriptions and 38,000 follow-up subscriptions.
All readers are earned by me word by word, with a little effort and a little blood.
All achievements are voted by readers, and promoted spontaneously one by one.
Chixin Xuntian will only reach the position that readers praise it to.
I cherish readers more than anyone else.
But I never expected that a person I never knew and had no intersection with could hate me so much.
I won everything with my own talent and hard work.
Should I endure all this just because I am stubborn about my writing ideas?
I can't understand, they are very sick.
I was so angry in the group that day. It was my birthday that day. I asked for leave to rest, but I didn't rest in the end. I ran to the police station to report it on the spot, but the police station said they couldn't do anything and told me to go to the court.
It was the end of the year that day, it was very cold, and I was stuck in traffic for two hours. The court was closed.
At 7 o'clock in the evening, I had to rush to my grandmother's house for dinner, because my grandmother and I had the same birthday, and my family was waiting for me. The next day I had to rush back to the countryside to celebrate the New Year, because my grandmother had just passed away and needed to keep vigil.
I couldn't tell my family about this. I could only complain to my friends in the group.
How do you calculate the time cost? I need to spend a lot of time sitting there every day to work on the plot. If I don't hold myself back to a certain extent, I won't have any inspiration at all.
But I ran in the cold wind for an afternoon, and all I gained was anger, anger, anger.
The huge time cost makes me have to let it go. I need to update every day, so I have to endure it silently and digest my emotions by myself.
Is writing difficult?
I enjoy it!
I love writing, I like to challenge the difficulty of writing. My greatest pain is that I am not capable enough, and my greatest joy is the improvement of my writing ability.
What is difficult about serialization?
The difficulty is to absorb so many negative emotions and insist on what I think is right!
I am not a strong person, I am far inferior to the characters in my writing.
They are as hard as iron and never bother about anything.
I care about everything.
I sincerely thank those who have always supported me and given me strength.
My readers!
I will not treat those who are dissatisfied with me and criticize me with resentment.
But I will not forgive those who hurt me and slander me.
We may meet by chance or never meet again in our lifetime, just the fate of this book.
I will start and end well.
You can stay or leave as you like.
I don’t want to repeat myself. So if there is a next book, I will not write a fairy hero.
So Chixin Xuntian carries all my fairy hero dreams so far.
I want to write what I think is the best, not what anyone thinks is the best.
I may write slower and slower, and even slower.
But I will definitely live up to the six million words above.
I should have summarized the writing of the maze chapter, but I got off track while writing.
I am a little sleepy, and I have an appointment for dinner tonight.
Then let's stop here and treat it as a mirror flower and water moon!
Or, it is enough to describe it in one sentence - it took over the Shenxiao Bureau.
As we all know, it is not high to raise it high, but it is high to take it.
...
Finally, report the results:
When He Chongtian ended, the average subscription of the novel was 19,500, and the highest follow-up subscription was 24,000.
When Mirror Flower and Water Moon ended, the average subscription reached 27,000, and the highest follow-up subscription was 38,000.
By the way, if you haven't subscribed to all the books, you can go and subscribe to the 119th chapter of the first volume "Pressing the Sword and Looking Around with Confused Heart".
That is the first chapter on the shelf, and it is also a reflection of the high subscription of this book.
I want to see how many real readers this book has. How can there be thousands of chapters with an average subscription of less than 30,000, and so many readers discussing the plot!
I will stop writing here and finish the entire ninth volume.
I will take a four-day leave (five days including today).
I will resume updating on Wednesday, March 15th of the Gregorian calendar.
…
The name of the next volume is——
