17. Difficult Decisions (Part 2)

In the afternoon, in a manor on the outskirts of Washington.

Pierce, who was getting old, sat on the recliner, letting the warm sunlight shine on the old man, and his personal nurse covered him with a blanket thoughtfully.

In this drowsy afternoon, the Speaker of the World Security Council, His Excellency Pierce, lay there, sleeping peacefully.

But in the deep sleep of his body, his consciousness was discussing important matters with Mrs. Hydra in Raccoon City, Colorado, by means of occult magic.

A matter of life and death for the umbrella company.

Pierce's consciousness stood in a space that shone with dazzling colorful halos, overlapping and sprawling in unreasonable gestures.

This is the dream dimension.

That's right, where Merlin and Zatanna have their weekly "happy hour."

But this place is called a dimension, which means that the area here is so vast that it is as majestic as the entire universe. The conversation here is almost impossible to be perceived by the outside world.
