He had discussed Buddhism with eminent monks and learned that Buddhists believe that in addition to the six consciousnesses of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, there is also a seventh mana consciousness and an eighth alaya consciousness. , and the ninth Amāra Consciousness.
The seventh consciousness, the eighth consciousness, and the ninth consciousness are all deep-level consciousnesses. They are not as concrete as the first six consciousnesses, but abstract things.
The Consciousness-Only Sect of Buddhism in China believes that the root of all things in the universe lies in consciousness. It is consciousness that evolved all things in the universe. Consciousness is the source of all things and the beginning of all things.
People who have achieved success in practice can turn "consciousness" into "wisdom", thereby reaching the other shore and gaining great freedom. The first five consciousnesses, namely eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body, can be transformed into accomplished knowledge.
This "wisdom" sounds very difficult to pronounce, but when explained, it means the wisdom obtained from the five senses, and this wisdom must be achieved and self-proven, which means that it should be beneficial to both sides.
In fact, it is the awakening self in what Taoists call perfect enlightenment, taking Zhang Jun as an example. He proves himself by realizing his self-worth, and in the process, he facilitates others and fulfills himself. This is a mutually beneficial thing. And everything he does comes from the feedback of the five senses to external information, which is called the wisdom of achievement.
The sixth consciousness is called consciousness. It is the synthesis of the first five consciousnesses. It likes prosperity and dislikes disfavor. If one attains the Tao, this consciousness can be transformed into the wisdom of wonderful observation.
The wisdom of wonderful observation is the "awareness of others" of Taoism. The meaning of wonderful observation is to be able to see through the essence of all dharma, and to be able to tell other people about this essence, so that they can also distinguish the essence of things, so that they will not retreat in their practice. Compared with self-awareness, this level is a step further and has the ambition to save all sentient beings.
Zhang Jun opened his consciousness as soon as he entered Enlightenment. By the time he "awakened him", his consciousness had actually turned into "Wonderful Observation Wisdom".
However, Buddhist practice is different, but it starts from the source. Buddhism believes that the transformation of the first eight consciousnesses depends on the ninth consciousness, which is Amara consciousness, also known as pure consciousness and untainted consciousness.
Because the seventh consciousness is the choice between likes and dislikes of the first six consciousnesses, that is, greed for likes and hatred for disgust, so it is also called discrimination. If Buddhist monks want to transform the first six consciousnesses into wisdom, they must first transform the seventh consciousness.
Above the seventh consciousness is the eighth consciousness, which is called Alaya consciousness. This consciousness is the memory of greed and anger, which is what Buddhism calls "karma". Because it hides karma, it is called hidden consciousness. At the same time, it is the origin of all results and is also called fundamental consciousness.
People often say that "there are gods held three feet high" and "good will be rewarded with good and evil will be rewarded with evil", which is what is called hidden consciousness. When a person commits evil deeds, the "karma" created will be hidden in the seventh consciousness and appear at the appropriate time, just like a seed that germinates when it meets the soil.
There are seeds of evil and good in people's store consciousness, which will eventually appear and produce different consequences. This is the so-called "karma."
The seventh consciousness and the eighth consciousness can be transformed into the wisdom of equality and the wisdom of the great round mirror respectively. The state of enlightenment in Taoism is roughly equivalent to a part of the wisdom of equality, but it cannot be called the complete wisdom of equality. The remaining part can only be understood when he has half a step of magical power.
As for the wisdom of the great round mirror that follows, and the wisdom of the Dharma Realm that is transformed from the ninth consciousness Amaro consciousness, they are even more mysterious and unpredictable, and cannot be understood by Zhang Jun at all.
However, he understood that those who could comprehend the ninth consciousness would be completely awakened and achieve limitless achievements. Yuanyuan has a pure and untainted body. No wonder the demonic realm came to her.
For a moment, many things flashed through his mind, and after he composed himself, he asked: "Jero, if she can turn the ninth consciousness into wisdom, what level of Dharma Realm physical wisdom does she possess?"

“The ninth consciousness can be regarded as the tainted Buddha-nature, and the wisdom of the Dharma Realm’s nature can be regarded as the untainted Buddha-nature. The Dharma Realm’s body-nature is the six elements, namely, earth, fire, wind, water, emptiness, and consciousness. This is the non-contained nature. "Shangzhi, there is no equal to wisdom." Ye Luo said, "Daluo and Hunyuan of Taoism are nothing more than this."
The other party's last words were quite insightful. In fact, although Buddhism and Taoism are integrated, there are still some dirty things after all, and the concepts of practice are very different.
Zhang Jun once heard discussions from people in the Taoist sect, believing that the ninth consciousness in Buddhism is purely obscene and does not exist at all. Of course, there are also people in Buddhism who believe that Taoism’s Hunyuan Dao Fruit is a delusion and cannot exist at all.
