Chapter 26 Behind the Desert

Isabel single-handedly wiped out the sandworms that occupied the oasis and restored the only transit point in the desert. Unfortunately, the oasis that the Bedou tribe had run for generations was destroyed.

The former oasis now only has a few sunken and collapsed sand caves, and everything else has turned into ruins.

Isabel's body glowed with white light.

A wisp of black mist rose from the ground in front, and the black mist condensed into a vague shadow. A dialog box appeared on the black shadow's head, but it was full of garbled characters.

Isabel also had garbled characters on her head, and she had an encrypted communication with the other party.

Soon, the black shadow dissipated.

Isabel knelt on one knee facing the computer screen and said, "My Lord, I used my last prayer to ask the dead here. They told me that the sandworms attacked here to rob the copper mines under the oasis."

"Sandworms like ore. They will eat the ore and turn the metal elements into part of their body, thereby strengthening their bodies."

"Most of the mining areas in the desert are occupied by sandworm groups in different regions. Only here is protected by the power of gods, so they can't get close."

"Not long ago, they found that there was no longer any power of gods here, and the sandworms quickly attacked the oasis. In order to rob the copper mine, a small-scale war broke out among them. The twelve sandworms I dealt with were the original winners here."

Lu Yao was delighted to hear this.

There was actually copper.

He was worried that the Garlic Tribe had not yet opened the skill tree for smelting metals, but he didn't expect the opportunity to be in the desert.

But Isabel's next words immediately poured a bucket of cold water on his head.

"There are not many copper mines here, and they have all been eaten by sandworms. Sandworms are a kind of monster that can go without food for a long time. When they encounter copper and iron ores, they will eat crazily until all the ores are digested."

The copper mine has been eaten...

Lu Yao looked at the insect corpses on the ground, and suddenly an idea popped up in his mind.

Since the ores were eaten by sandworms to strengthen their bodies, can it be understood that the copper mines are still part of the sandworm corpses?

Lu Yao ordered.

-Check the corpse to see if there is copper.

Not long after, Isabel came up with the results of the inspection.

"Just as you said, sir, there are pieces of copper under the skin of the sandworm, and these copper pieces are very strong."

Lu Yao thought to himself, as expected.

If there were no apostles, it would be impossible to discover the secret of the sandworms.

No.

Without the apostles, it would be impossible to enter the desert and fight the sandworms.

Relying on the Garlic Tribe's own strength, entering the desert to fight the sandworms would undoubtedly be a dead end.

Because of Isabel's existence, we can enter these dangerous high-level areas.

Next, the hunters of the Garlic Tribe followed Isabel into the desert and came to the oasis. When they saw the corpses of giant snake-like sandworms, the pixel people were very excited.

"What a strong monster, they must have been terrible when they were alive."

"Their skin is thicker than that of sea monsters, and their bodies are bigger than those of sea monsters."

"Monster meat! Leather! And strong bones!"

"A big harvest!"

An exclamation mark suddenly appeared on the head of a pixel man.

"There is something in the sandworm skin, it's copper! It's copper!"

A line of words appeared on the screen.

[The Garlic Tribe has discovered copper. ]

A new resource has also been added to the resource bar at the top of the game interface: metal.

There is only copper in the [Metal] bar, and it is in a red and scarce state.

Then the little people were busy cutting up the sandworm corpses and transporting them all the way back to the Garlic Tribe with camels. Because the journey was long and there were many sandworm corpses, the tribe called all the camels, and the shaman personally directed the transportation here.

During this trip to the desert, Isabel cleared the sandworms along the way and cleared the passages to the plains and oases in the Garlic Tribe.

It was only a matter of time before they could get out of the desert.

At this time, Lu Yao suddenly saw a reminder.

[In order to thank you for recovering the old site of the Bedou Tribe, the astrologer Shahan taught the Garlic Tribe the mining technique. ]

[The Garlic Tribe learned the mining technique. ]

[The Garlic Tribe gained prestige among other tribes because of its mastery of new technologies. ]

[The Garlic Tribe discovered iron. ]

[The Garlic Tribe discovered gems. ]

[The Garlic Tribe discovered gold. ]

[The Garlic Tribe discovered silver. ]

[The Garlic Tribe discovered crystal. ]

A series of reminders made Lu Yao look at the tent next to the temple.

The former leader of the Bedou Tribe, now the weather forecaster of the Garlic Tribe, was kneeling outside the temple, and very devoutly put his head on the ground to express his gratitude to Lu Yao.

He actually kept a hand.

Lu Yao couldn't help thinking.

Since Shahan has hidden things, is it possible for others to do the same?

Perhaps only by achieving the most important goal in these people's hearts and fulfilling their obsessions and expectations, will they be willing to share all their skills and experiences.

After learning mining techniques, the tribe gradually separated some people and began to dig and excavate around the stones. The use of stones has become more popular. The most direct change is that there are more low walls made of stones outside the houses.

In addition, the Garlic Tribe has gradually learned the most primitive smelting methods. The little people dug a big hole in the ground, piled firewood and lit a fire, and burned copper, iron, silver and gold from the ore.

Soon after, the words [The gift is completely completed, and the fishing net is integrated into the world] appeared on the screen again.

New tools can be sent over again.

Lu Yao stretched his body and got up to stretch his fingers and back.

Every step forward of tribal civilization is accompanied by the pain of the gods.

This winter, Isabel chopped down the sandworms along the way, walked out of the vast southern desert, and came to a new world.

It was a city called Saniluo, which was far more civilized than the Garlic Tribe.

Saniluo was built on the seashore and controlled the seaport. The city not only had neatly arranged houses, straight and staggered stone roads, but also a variety of complete shops.

There were more than 10,000 people in the city, and some fishing boats and sailboats were moored in the port near the sea.

The only problem was that the residents of Saniluo were not human.

This was a city inhabited by ghosts.

At first, the ghosts of Saniluo had some small misunderstandings with Isabel. After Isabel killed nearly half of the ghost soldiers in the city, the ghosts changed their attitude and warmly welcomed her.

The people of Saniluo treated Isabel as a VIP and introduced her to the long history of the city. The locals expressed their willingness to believe in Yao and offer their faith to obtain Yao's blessing and forgiveness.

The situation is stable.

"The city of Sanilo has always been hospitable, especially respecting and believing in powerful gods. It is our honor to have such a noble apostle visit us." Chapman, the mayor of Sanilo, said so.

"I dare not hide it from you, Lady Isabel, Sanilo is actually a cursed city."

"This place was extremely rich in the past. The city was proficient in maritime trade and planting, and the population was far greater than it is now. But after the death of the forest god we believe in, this place was cursed by another god."

"All of us were executed and turned into ghosts."

"And the gods sent down totems so that the ghosts of Sanilo could never leave here to punish our heresy. Except for the Bedou tribe in ancient times, no one has visited here for many years."
