Chapter 179 The Thief Who Stole the Notebook
Dobby has been terrified after seeing his young master Draco injured and unconscious. It was he who tampered with the Bludger, and Draco was hit by the Bludger and fractured.
"Why not Harry? Why not Harry?" Dobby said to himself after he came out of the school infirmary.
It was obviously casting a spell to make the Bludger chase Harry, so it turned out that Draco was hit.
Self-reproach and guilt made Dobby look more pitiful and helpless. It walked aimlessly in the castle. Narcissa made it to protect and help Draco, and now it is like this.
Although the Lucius couple didn't know that it was because of it that Draco was injured, but Dobby was afraid to face his master. Fortunately, Narcissa let him stay at Hogwarts.
Just when Dobby walked to the second floor of the teaching building unknowingly, he happened to see Weasley being caught by Snape and Filch. It hid in the corner, staring at several people with its big eyes.
Snape hurried upstairs with a notebook in his hand, Dobby glanced at him inadvertently, but this glance attracted Dobby's attention.
"That's the master's notebook!" Dobby's eyes were sharp, even in the dim moonlight, he recognized the notebook in Snape's hand at once.
In the summer of first grade, Dobby was there when Lucius gave Sean the notebook. A few months ago, Lucius asked Dobby to go to Sean's dorm room and the Leaky Cauldron to find the notebook.
Dobby followed Snape secretly all the way to the headmaster's office on the top floor of the tower. Dobby stopped in front of the revolving stone staircase of the stone statue.
A few minutes later, Professor McGonagall and Filch brought the Weasley brothers to the headmaster's office.
Dumbledore and Snape looked at Fred and George with serious expressions. George was still a little dizzy at the moment, and Fred couldn't help feeling a little apprehensive when he saw the situation.
"Thank you, Argus, you can go back and rest." Dumbledore said to Filch.
Filch nodded reluctantly, he still wanted to participate in the punishment of these two bad boys.
After Filch left, Dumbledore came out of the desk and stood in front of George, holding a notebook and asking.
"Where did you get this notebook?"
George was supported by Fred, and he replied in a daze, "I don't know, it just appeared suddenly."
Fred said, "In the second Defense Against the Dark Arts class, George suddenly asked me if I had heard of a man named Tom Riddle, and then he took out this notebook."
"He will never lie to me. I believe him. He must not know how the notebook appeared between his textbooks."
"This notebook will answer the questions written on it." Fred said in a flash.
Although Professor McGonagall really wanted to intercede for the children of his own college, besides, they were still members of the Weasley family, and the Weasley family was Gryffindor for thousands of years, and they also supported Dumbledore very much.
But according to Filch, George wanted to attack him with magic, but fortunately, he was discovered by Snape, who was watching the night.
"George, did you intend to attack Filch?" Professor McGonagall asked.
Of course she heard George reply, of course, no.
However, George didn't seem to remember what he did just now. He said suspiciously, "Attack Filch? Why did I attack him? I don't think it's too late for him to run away."
Professor McGonagall glanced at Snape, and Snape didn't mean to reprimand George, but said to Dumbledore.
"Professor, I think we should take a look at this notebook that can answer questions first."
In the middle of the night, Hogwarts was very lively, but Sean went to bed early, and the next morning he, like other students,
Heard about the arrest of the Weasley brothers.
Sean hadn't had breakfast yet, when Snape suddenly walked over and patted Sean on the shoulder.
"follow me."
"Eat less and you won't die from starvation." Snape glanced at him and said coldly.
Helpless, Sean put down the egg sandwich in his hand, got up and followed Snape out of the auditorium.
"Professor, where are we going?" Sean asked from behind.
"The headmaster's office." Snape said without looking back.
Xiao En suddenly had a bad premonition, and called him over in such a hurry that he didn't even let him finish his meal. Although he knew it was related to the notebook, why did he ask him to go.
When he walked into the principal's office, he saw the Weasley brothers. He walked past the two "victims" with a normal expression, but he didn't expect a figure squatting in the corner to make Sean fail.
He looked at the poor Dobby squatting under the bookshelf in surprise, "Why is it here?"
"Notebook, Dobby." Sean thought of the relationship between the two, and suddenly understood, "It's not here to steal the notebook, is it?"
Just as Sean guessed, Dobby found Snape entering the principal's office with the notebook last night, and when everyone dispersed in the early morning, he boldly groped into the principal's office.
It overheard the pass word of the principal's office from Snape, and when it climbed the stone ladder to the door of the principal's office, it pushed open the door of the principal's office on tiptoe.
The principal's room was pitch black, Dobby snapped his fingers, and a light lit up on his fingers, but the light frightened him to the ground.
Dumbledore just sat quietly in the dark office, resting his chin on his hands, with Tom's notebook on the table.
Dobby panicked and wanted to escape before it was too late, Dumbledore moved two fingers and locked it in place.
"Who sent you here?" Dumbledore walked towards Dobby aggressively.
"Dobby, you can't say, Dobby wants to go home." Dobby said pitifully.
Dumbledore, who was always kind, did not sympathize with Dobby, "I'm afraid you will stay with me for a while until you name the commander."
Dumbledore's name is known to everyone in the British wizarding world, and the house elf is no exception. Dobby is in awe of Dumbledore. After half an hour of internal struggle, he still told about the notebook.
Sean guessed that Dobby must have confessed that Lucius told him to steal the notebook, and by the way, he said that the notebook was given to him by Lucius, so that he was the last person to own the notebook.
Sean knew that in the face of Dumbledore's questioning, he was going to lie, which was not easy, lying in front of a Legilimency master.
Fortunately, Dumbledore is not a natural legitimist or a natural mind reader. The mind reading ability of this kind of person is born in the womb, and it is a passive skill.
Sean knew a natural legitimist, and that was Newt Scamander's sister-in-law, Queenie Goldstein.
She can easily enter other people's minds to read thoughts, and it is easier to pry when the other person is depressed, and this is not under her control. Most of the time, she doesn't want to hear what other people are thinking, because it also means that she To bear more.
And Dumbledore can't be like Queenie, who can steal other people's thoughts at any time silently. He has to cast spells first, whether it's with a wand or a secret wand.
Sean's magic eye has been opened, and whenever he finds Dumbledore casting a spell, he will use Occlumency to deal with it.
"Sean, do you recognize this notebook?" Dumbledore asked as he picked up the notebook.
Sean first made a surprised expression, and then said, "Why is it here, professor, it was given to me by Mr. Malfoy when I went to Malfoy Manor during the summer vacation of my first year, but it was lost in the Leaky Cauldron later."
Sean's words are mixed with truth and falsehood, which is his usual language technique in dealing with Dumbledore.
