Chapter 376: Legal Gathering at the Pig's Head Bar

A few days later, it was the last day of the week, and Hogsmeade Day came as scheduled.

Because of Professor McGonagall's decision, Hogsmeade Day, which was most likely to be cancelled, is now open again. Many of the little wizards who were feeling a little uncomfortable under the looming dull atmosphere in the school decided to take this opportunity to relax.

Because of this, Hogsmeade village ushered in the busiest day ever.

Of course, on the surface, this pure wizard village is the same as usual, except that there are more people. But in those inconspicuous places, the professors personally assumed the duty of vigilance for the students.

Hermione, Ron and Luna went out of the school gate and walked along the road on the left. The bright sunshine shone on them, but it still couldn't counteract the chill brought by the cold wind.

The changing wind direction from time to time made the hair of both girls a little messy - of course, Hermione's unkempt brown hair has always been like this.

"Shouldn't we go down the secret passage with Harry?"

Harry failed to get Sirius' signature this year, so he had to go to Hogsmeade through the school's secret passage again. As if he felt a little sorry for letting his friend go through the secret passage alone, Ron said suddenly.

"Of course, the fewer the number of people walking the secret passage, the better." Hermione pressed her hair that was blown by the wind hard, so as not to cover her sight, "we have to let people see the normal whereabouts, so that we don't let people People with a heart are suspicious."

"'Who cares'? Who is it?" Ron asked in surprise, "Hermione, did you find out that someone is following us?"

"Don't look around!" Hermione said angrily, "I didn't find anything, but that doesn't mean we haven't been noticed, does it?"

"... Caution is an excellent quality, it can make people less prone to make mistakes." Luna let her long pale golden hair flutter in the wind, and said with blurred eyes.

"Well, I think you're right...so," asked Ron, "is it really good that we meet at the Hog's Head? It's so out of the way..."

"Originally, I wanted to stay in the 'Three Broomsticks', where there are many people would be more inconspicuous..." Hermione explained in a low voice, "But now there must be other students there, maybe there is a professor there... Maca will agree to our plan, and other professors will definitely stop us."

"If it's the Pig's Head Bar, people generally don't go there, so at least they won't be overheard by people in the school."

They kept going along the main road, and when they passed Zoko's Magic Joke Shop, they met Fred, George, and their best friend Lee Jordan without any accident.

After that they passed the Owl Post Office and turned at the other end into the lane on the right.

Along the way, Hermione and the others normally greeted the students who passed by on the road. Although those were guys who had hardly been in contact with each other on weekdays, the polite and warm greetings would never be rejected by people.

Not long after, they saw a small old bar on the right near the end of the path.

It was as old as ever, with the dilapidated wooden signboard hanging from a rusty bracket above the lintel, and a wild boar's head, enchanted with preservation, had been nailed to it.

Dirty blood seeped into the wood, and it had already turned a dusty gray-black.

The wind had been strong lately, and the sign creaked as they approached.

"This place really looks suspicious no matter how you look at it..." Ron subconsciously held back, "I don't know if Harry has arrived—he should be faster than us."

"Should... be okay?" Hermione also hesitated a little, "After all, this is Hogsmeade, a wizarding village frequented by students..."

Both of them seemed a little hesitant.

"... Maca and I mentioned that the butter beer here tastes good." Luna suddenly said this,

Both Hermione and Ron looked at her.

"Maka has been here?" Hermione seemed relieved, "Then it should be fine! Come on, let's go in quickly, maybe Harry is already waiting for us inside!"

With her leading the way, the three of them pushed open the broken wooden door of the bar and walked in one by one.

As soon as they entered the door, before they had time to see the environment inside, they immediately smelled an unusually strong smell of mutton.

This place is completely different from the 'Three Broomsticks' which is also a bar.

There is no bright bar counter that has been wiped clean, no scented candlesticks mixed with spices and warmth, and no proud female boss.

Here, there is only one dark, narrow room full of dust and dirt.

The windows on the side wall were so dirty that they could barely let in light, some poor-quality candle stubs were burning on the uneven wooden table, and there was a tall, thin, gray-bearded old man standing behind the bar.

Hermione stomped her feet lightly, but found that the ground under her feet didn't seem to be the muddy ground she expected, but the "old dirt" that had accumulated on the stone floor for centuries.

I remember that Hagrid mentioned this bar several times before, and said that there are many interesting guys here. He had won the dragon egg from a hooded stranger in this bar.

At that time, everyone may have wondered in their hearts, why Hagrid wouldn't be wary of dealing with a guy who hides his head and shows his tail?

But today, when they came here in person, they discovered that covering their faces in the Hog's Head seemed to be a popular custom by default.

There was a wizard sitting at the bar - it was not clear whether it was a man or a woman, because all the visible parts of the man's body were wrapped in gray bandages.

Even so, he was still able to pour some kind of smoking, burning liquor through the gap in the bandage around his mouth cup by cup.

And by the window with no light, two figures wearing hoods and cloaks sat facing each other, chatting with a strong Yorkshire accent.

But if they didn't speak, many people would probably regard them as dementors at a glance!

Beside the burning fireplace, a witch huddled in a dark corner out of the fire's light, with a thick black veil hanging from the tip of her nose to her instep, making one involuntarily think of a foreign nation on a camel's back.

Harry didn't seem to be here yet, the three of them walked carefully past the table and walked towards the bar.

"Hermione, it's all because you said something about stalking..." Ron lowered his voice, "Now I don't think anyone looks like a good person..."

"No, it has nothing to do with that," Hermione also whispered, "because these people really don't look like good people—if they didn't do something wrong, who would dress themselves up like this?"

"Although what you said is very reasonable, but..." Ron's eyeballs kept dangling on those people, and he glanced at the witch wrapped in black veil a few more times, "I still don't think so. That's right—look at that, could it be that old toad Umbridge?"

Hearing this, Hermione glanced over there, but saw that the other party seemed to have noticed this way, and turned her head slightly.

She immediately looked away again.

"Umbridge is definitely not as tall as that witch," Hermione said softly. "Besides, she should still be doing disgusting reports at the Ministry of Magic! Besides, there is no school policy prohibiting students from entering the Pig's Head Bar—I used to Just asked Professor Flitwick."

She paused, then added with some clarity: "...but the professor seriously suggested to me, if you have to go, remember to bring your own cup!"

"Don't be so quiet, I can hear you!" The gray-bearded old man behind the bar suddenly stopped wiping the glass and shouted, shaking the rag, "Which bastard told you bad things about my bar? Also, My cups here are all clean!

Hermione was taken aback, but when she cast her eyes on the irascible old man, she inexplicably felt a kind of familiarity.

"Yes, I'm sorry..." Hermione quickly apologized.

"...forget it, what are you going to do with your little brat," he asked muttering, "what do you want?"

"Butter beer!" Luna rushed to say, "You only have the kind here!"

"Huh?" The old man glanced at her, with a hint of doubt flashing across his face, "A new face? I remember all the people who have been here before - who introduced you here?"

"Maka told me." Luna tilted her head and said.

Upon hearing this name, the old man immediately raised gray eyebrows.

"Ha!" He sneered with a sullen face, "So it's that kid..."

The old man didn't ask Hermione and Ron, just bent down and took out three dusty and dirty wine bottles from under the counter, and put them heavily in front of them.

"Six Sickles." He said impatiently.

"I'll pay."

A voice came from behind, and the three of them looked back, only to see that Harry had arrived.

The bar owner's eyes flicked over Harry's forehead, and his hands kept moving, neatly throwing the silver coins handed over by Harry into the wooden cash drawer under the bar.

"There you are, Harry!" Ron touched his arm happily.

"It's not just me, I saw other people behind—" Harry gestured toward the door.

Before the words were finished, the door of the bar was opened again, and a large group of people poured in one after another.

In the lead were Neville and Ernie, followed by many people, Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, every house except Slytherin.

There was Ginny, of course, but she was accompanied by a tall, thin, blond boy, and both Harry and Ron subconsciously gave him a few extra glances.

The last ones were the Weasley brothers and Lee Jordan they had met before, all three of them were holding a big paper bag. Needless to say, it's packed with gag merchandise from Zonko's Magic Joke Shop.
