Chapter 604: Tolerance
It seemed like Hermione was perfect for taking on the role of Hagrid's little angel.
This is easy to understand. In the entire Hogwarts, they are the only ones who have the best relationship with Hagrid.
Take Harry as an example. In comparison, Sirius is far less important than Hagrid.
Harry was picked up from the Dursleys by Hagrid, who was no less than a savior in the significance of Harry's life.
Naturally, Harry is Hagrid's most loyal friend, which not even Hermione or Ron can match.
"Hagrid, come to your senses. This is not like you. You shouldn't be knocked down by these little things." Harry said sincerely. He took a step forward, as if he wanted to hold Hagrid's hand.
But Hagrid clearly shrank back.
Hermione didn't react. Hagrid's strength was too great, and Hermione was still holding his hand.
Naturally, Hermione's body was nearly pulled over.
Fan Lin frowned, and he immediately hugged Hermione in his arms. It seemed that Hagrid had completely lost control of himself. Before this, Hagrid had never had such a situation when he was getting along with them.
"Hagrid..."
Hermione called cautiously.
"Yes, I'm sorry...I..." Hagrid was a little panicked. He seemed to be holding Hermione back, but he didn't dare...
"As you can see, I am a half-giant..."
"But, what does it matter? You have no choice, but you are our friend." Harry said loudly.
"You don't understand, Harry, I'm a half-giant..." Hagrid started crying again.
Just as Harry was about to continue thinking of ways to enlighten Hagrid, a familiar voice rang from the door. It was Dumbledore.
"Good afternoon, I didn't expect you all to be here." Dumbledore said to them with a smile.
"We - we want to find Hagrid." Hermione's voice was as low as possible.
"I know." Dumbledore said with a wink, "If you don't come, it will surprise me."
"Okay." Hermione nodded.
Dumbledore walked into the room,
"Hello, Hagrid," Dumbledore greeted. Hagrid raised his head and just grunted hoarsely, "Hello, Professor Dumbledore."
"I came here today to deal with the resignation submitted by Professor Rubeus Hagrid of the Care of Magical Creatures course..." Dumbledore said casually, as if he didn't care about the matter.
Hagrid's eyes were a little distracted, and he just sat in his chair stupidly.
"Oh, you have all helped Hagrid tidy up the house. This must be Miss Granger's masterpiece. As for the temperature, I think Mr. Al must be more skilled in controlling magic." Dumbledore Lido smiled, very satisfied with the progress of the young wizards.
"We can't just stand here. I thought, how about a cup of tea?"
Dumbledore closed the door and went out. After a while, he came in with a plate of snacks and several cups of tea. Everyone sat at the table, and everyone was silent.
A cup of hot black tea for each person is undoubtedly a kind of enjoyment on a cold winter day.
Seeing Dumbledore coming, Fanlin let go of his last worry about Hagrid.
Fan Lin sat in his familiar position with a cup of black tea. This was also due to Hermione's cleaning spell, otherwise there would be no way to sit on these sofas.
It is worth mentioning that because Dumbledore was there, Hermione seemed a little unable to let go. She sat on a chair in a reserved manner.
Fan Lin felt a little bored. Every time he came to Hagrid, he didn't have much sense of presence. In fact, except for some magical creatures that Fan Lin was interested in, Fan Lin and Hagrid had very little interaction.
Most of the time at Hagrid's place was spent on Noble and Hermione, and with Dumbledore here, Fanlin had even more reason to be lazy.
It was Dumbledore who was the first to break the silence, "It seems that Harry and the others are very concerned about you, Hagrid...especially what they have done. It seems that your situation has made Harry and the others very anxious."
This sentence was exactly how Harry was feeling right now.
"Of course we want to know how you are," Harry said, looking at Hagrid. "You're not going to take that cow Rita - I'm sorry, Professor."
Harry realized that he had been quick to speak, so he stuck out his tongue and looked at Dumbledore carefully.
"I'm temporarily deaf, so I can't hear what you just said, Harry." Dumbledore said, twiddling his thumbs and looking at the ceiling.
"Yeah, I mean, Hagrid, how could you take what that woman wrote to heart?"
Two huge tears fell from Hagrid's dark eyes and flowed onto his knotted beard.
"Remember what I told you last time?" Dumbledore said, still staring at the ceiling, "that snowflake letter from your parents, saying that if I admit you to school again, they will complain."
"Not all." Hagrid said hoarsely, "Some people still want me to stay."
"Really, but if you delay any longer, I'm afraid you will have to stay in this room longer. A cowardly person will not be recognized!" Dumbledore arrived, observing the sea through his thick lenses. grid.
"I have not been the principal for a day or two. When I encounter others criticizing my management methods, what should I do? Lock myself up and refuse anyone?"
"But you're not a half-giant!" Hagrid said hoarsely.
"Hagrid, did you see what I did for my relatives?" Harry got angry. "Look at the Dursleys!"
"Well said." Professor Dumbledore said, "Take my brother Aberforth for example. Last time he was accused of using unfair magic to control a goat. The newspapers were flying all over the place, but did he hide? ? No! He still stood up and did his thing as usual! Of course, I can't guarantee that he is literate, so maybe I can't say he is brave..."
"Come back and continue teaching us, Hagrid," Hermione said. "Come back, we all miss you."
Hagrid took a deep breath, tears streaming down his cheeks and into his beard.
"I won't accept your resignation. Instead, I want you to come to work on Monday. Have breakfast with us in the lobby at eight-thirty in the morning. You can't ask for leave. Well, I wish you a good afternoon."
Dumbledore left the hut. When the door was closed, Hagrid couldn't help but bury his face in his bucket-like hands and sobbed. Hermione patted him gently. After a while, he raised his head, his eyes red again. And swollen.
"Okay, Dumbledore... what a good man..."
"Good guy?" Fan Lin muttered, but he didn't think so. (To be continued)
