Chapter 1079

In some ways, the next day on the Hogwarts Express was full of events.

First, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, who had finally found themselves without teachers after a week of waiting, ambushed Harry on his way back from the toilets to the carriage.

The ambush would have been successful if they had not accidentally chosen to conduct it outside a carriage full of D.A. members. The people inside saw what was happening through the glass and rushed to Harry's aid.

After Ernie MacLean, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Justin Finch Fletch, Anthony Goldstein and Terry Boot used various magical spells that Harry had taught them, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle huddled up in their Hogwarts uniforms like three giant slugs, and Harry, Ernie and Justin threw them into the luggage rack and left them limp there.

"I must say, how I wish I had seen the look on Malfoy's mother's face when he got off the train!" Ernie said with great satisfaction, watching Malfoy wriggle above his head.

He could not forgive Malfoy for insultingly deducting points from Hufflepuff when he was an investigator.

"Goyle's mother would be pleased," said Ron, running out to see what was going on.

"He looks even better. Harry, here comes the food cart, would you like some?"

Harry thanked the others and returned to the carriage with Ron. He bought a large cake and several pumpkin pies. Hermione was reading the Daily Prophet again, and Vanlin was fiddling with his new alchemical product.

In fact, Harry could hardly see what it was for, a moving metal man? It was a little small, and it was said that Fred and George needed it. Ginny was doing a test on The Quibbler, and Neville was stroking his cactus, which was growing very fast and made a strange humming sound when touched.

Harry and Ron spent most of the trip playing magic chess while Hermione read out excerpts from the Daily Prophet. It was full of articles about how to fight off Dementors, the Ministry of Magic hunting down Death Eaters, and excited claims of seeing Voldemort passing by the house one morning.

"It hasn't really started yet," Hermione sighed in frustration, folding the paper again, "but it won't be long."

"In fact, that guy should be thankful that Voldemort didn't see him, but he's more likely to be making it up..." Vanlin curled his lips, Voldemort didn't have time to pass by anyone's door.

"I don't understand why they are so excited, is Voldemort's return to them..." Hermione was interrupted by Ron before she could finish her opinion.

"Hey, Harry," Ron said softly, tilting his head towards the corridor outside. Harry looked outside and saw Cho Zhang walking by, with Marita, who was wearing a balaclava. His eyes met Cho Zhang's, she blushed and continued walking forward. Harry looked back at the chessboard and saw that Ron's knight had captured one of his pawns.

"How are you-how are you and her now?" Ron asked quietly.

"Nothing," Harry said matter-of-factly.

"I-uh-heard that she's going out with someone else now," Hermione said tentatively. Harry was surprised to find that the news had no effect on him at all. His relationship with Cho Chang seemed to be a thing of the past, and it had nothing to do with him now. It was like Cho had left his world, because what he had been through was not suitable for anyone to come and get involved, and between him and Cho...

"As long as you don't mind," Ron emphasized, "I mean, she's really beautiful, but besides that, she should be pleasant to be with."

"She should be pleasant when she's with someone else." Harry shrugged.

"Who is she with now?" Ron asked Hermione, but it was Ginny who answered.

"Michael. Connor."

"Michael-but-" Ron turned his chair and glared at her, "but didn't you go out with him all the time?"

"No longer going out," Ginny said firmly. "He was very angry when he saw Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw in Quidditch, so I broke up with him and he went to please Cho Chang." Ginny scratched her nose absentmindedly with her pinky and went back to The Quibbler to count the scores. This made Ron look very happy.

"I always thought he was a bit stupid." He rushed his queen towards Harry's shaky castle. "That's good for you, you can pick a better one next time."

He glanced at Harry secretly when he said this, with a strange look in his eyes.

Vanlin and Hermione did the same, focusing their eyes on Harry, but the latter did not respond, and Ginny answered Ron first.

"Well, I've chosen Dean. Thomas, do you think he's better?" Ginny said vaguely.

"What?" Ron shouted, accidentally knocking over the chessboard. Crookshanks jumped around in the fallen objects, and Hedwig and Piglet shouted in dissatisfaction above their heads.

"Dean..." Ginny paused, "I think he's pretty good."

"That kid..." Ron blushed, as if he wanted to show off his authority as a brother, but Ginny didn't buy it.

The train slowed down as it approached King's Cross Station. Harry had never felt more reluctant to leave it than now. He even had a flash of the idea that something would happen so that he would have a reason to refuse to get off the train, and that he would stay in the carriage until the first of September when Hogwarts started, and then take the train back.

But when Vanlin patted him on the shoulder, he finally gave up the idea and stood up, ready to get off the train as before, carrying Hedwig's cage and dragging the suitcase.

When the ticket collector told them that it was now safe to cross the fence to platform nine and three-quarters, Harry found that there was a surprise waiting for him there, and a group of people he had never expected were greeting him.

There was Moody the Magic Eye, wearing a bowler hat to cover his magic eye - this made him look very evil, holding a long wooden staff in his hand and wearing a long, huge traveling cloak. Tonks stood behind him, her bubblegum pink hair shining in the sunlight through the dark glass of the station roof. She was wearing a pair of jeans that were all patched up, and a bright purple T-shirt that said "Weird Sisters". Next to her was Lupin, pale, grey-haired, wearing a tattered long coat over an old blouse and trousers.

In front of them stood Mr and Mrs Weasley, dressed in their best Muggle clothes. Fred and George were both wearing new jackets of a poor quality, pale green.

"Ron, Ginny!" Mrs Weasley called, running over and hugging her two children tightly, "Oh, and you, dear Harry - are you all right?"

"Fine," Harry lied, and Mrs Weasley hugged him tightly, and over her shoulder he saw Ron staring at the twins' new clothes in amazement.

"What are these made of?" he asked, pointing at their clothes. "The best dragon hide, my little brother," Fred said, zipping up his zipper, "Our business is booming, so it's time to treat ourselves."

"Hey, Fred, George!"

"Hey, brother!" Fred gave Vanlin a big hug enthusiastically, "It's a pity that you weren't at Hogwarts when we left, otherwise I think our departure would have been a sensation. By the way, that thing..."

"Here!" Vanlin said, taking out the metal he had been fiddling with on the train, "Just enlarge it, but are you sure you want to use this thing as a guide?"

"This is cool!" George said, picking up the metal figure, "How do you use it?"

"This thing doesn't consume too much activity, it can be absorbed naturally, but you need to record the sound yourself, but this method is not a difficult task for you, I don't have that much time at Hogwarts..."

Compared to Vanlin's discussion, Harry's side seemed much warmer.

"Hello, Harry," Lupin said, at this time Mrs. Weasley had let go of Harry and turned to hug Hermione.

"Hello," said Harry, "I didn't expect that. What are you all doing here? Where's Sirius?"

"Oh," said Lupin, smiling, "Sirius is a little busy. To be exact, the unfortunate guy had his leg broken by Bellatrix, and it's not convenient for him to leave now. Kreacher is taking care of him. By the way, he is entertaining guests at the headquarters."

"Oh, okay, I can go..." Harry was about to say to go and see Sirius, but then swallowed his words.

"You come..."

"We think it's best to talk to your uncle and aunt before they take you home."

"I don't think this is a good idea." Harry said immediately.

"Well, I think so too." Moody complained, and he walked closer and asked, "Is it them, Potter?" He pointed back with his thumb, and his magic eye could obviously peek through the back of the head and the top hat.

Harry moved to the left and looked at where Moody pointed. Yes, it was the Dursleys, looking at Harry's welcoming group with fear.

"Ah, Harry," cried Mr. Weasley, who had just greeted Hermione's parents warmly, and who were now embracing Hermione and Vanlin, who was always incredibly embarrassed in front of the Grangers, even with Mr. Eyre...

Well, the object of the nervousness should change.

"So, should we do that?"

"Yes, Arthur," said Moody. The two of them walked towards the Dursleys first, who were obviously shocked. Hermione also ran over from her mother.

"Good afternoon," Mr. Weasley stopped in front of Uncle Vernon's right and said cheerfully, "You must remember me, my name is Arthur Weasley."

Mr. Weasley destroyed the Dursleys' living room alone two years ago, and it was amazing that Harry thought Uncle Vernon would forget him.

Sure enough, Uncle Vernon's face turned dark brown, and he glared at Mr. Weasley, but didn't say a word, perhaps because the other party had more people than the Dursleys. Aunt Petunia looked frightened and kept looking around, worried that someone would discover her situation. And Daley seemed to think that he was small enough to be ignored, but of course, this was impossible.

"We want to talk to you about Harry." Mr. Weasley still smiled.

"Yes," Modi growled, "about the treatment of Harry in your home."

Uncle Vernon's mustache seemed to be full of anger, and maybe the bowler hat gave him a feeling: Moody was an easy person to deal with. He shouted at him: "I don't know what happens in my family that has anything to do with you." —”

"I think books could be filled with what you don't know, Dursley," Moody growled.

"That's not the point," put in Tonks, looking as if her pink hair made her more annoying than anyone else to Aunt Petunia, who closed her eyes and looked away from her. "The point is, if we find out you're abusing Harry—"

"Please don't make this mistake, we will know," Lupine said cheerfully.

"Yes," said Mr. Weasley, "if you don't allow Harry to use the Telephone..."

"Phone," Hermione whispered.

"Yes, if we get any clue that you are treating Harry unfairly, you will have to explain," Moody said.

Uncle Vernon was almost furious, his chest heaving violently. His anger seemed to far outweigh the fright he received from these weird people.

"Are you threatening me, sir?!" he yelled, causing passers-by to turn and look at him.

"Yes, I am," the Eye replied bluntly, looking pleased that Uncle Vernon had caught on quickly.

"And do I look like a man who can be coerced?" growled Uncle Vernon.

"Well," said Moody, taking off his bowler hat, revealing the terrible, spinning eye. Uncle Vernon jumped up in horror and bumped into a luggage trolley. "I have to say that's what you are, Dursley."

He turned to look at Harry. "Potter, call us if you need us. If we don't hear from you for three days, we'll send someone over."

Aunt Petunia gave a pitiful whimper. She was obviously wondering what her neighbors would say if they saw such a group of people walking down her garden path.

"Goodbye, then, Potter," said Moody, grabbing Harry's shoulders with a rough hand.

"Be careful, Harry," Lupin said quietly, "keep in touch."

"Harry, we'll get you out of there as soon as possible," Mrs. Weasley whispered, giving him another hug. "We'll see you soon," Ron said eagerly, shaking Harry's hand.

"It'll be quick, Harry," Hermione said sincerely, "We promise."

"Remember to contact me and count the days. Trust me, it won't be slow." Fan Lin winked at Harry.

Harry nodded. He couldn't express to them how he felt when he saw them all standing around him. He smiled and waved goodbye, then turned and walked out of the station into the sunlit street, followed by Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and Dudley.

"Will the Dursleys learn to be smart?" Hermione said worriedly.

"I think so." Fan Lin nodded. He knew the temperament of the Dursley family well, "But before that, we should first..."

"Mom said to send us back." Hermione whispered, "Mr. Al asked them, he really can't leave the company..."

"Uh... okay then! Let's go to your house first, and then we'll go to Sirius's place..." (To be continued)
