Chapter 325 Arrow of Light
Tilly injected magic power into the flying magic stone, jumped into the air, and overlooked the entire deck.
Most of the crew of the Pretty Woman are experienced sailors. After the initial panic, they picked up the weapons around them and fought with the evil beasts, and gradually approached the poop. Apparently, they also knew that they could not defeat such a large number of enemies with their own strength, and their only hope lay with the witches on board.
The situation quickly changed as Ashes joined the battlefield.
She was like a gust of wind, and monsters screamed and wailed wherever she went. Any evil beast that dared to face the giant sword would be cut in two, with limbs and arms falling all over the deck.
Andrea is not to be outdone, her magic longbow can shoot any handy object as an arrow, and its power and accuracy are astonishing. So she rarely prepares regular feather arrows, but a bag of glass beads. The evil beasts hit by her didn't even cry out, they twitched and fell limp on the ground. The hard marbles were enough to penetrate the skull within twenty steps, turning the inside of the skull into a paste.
Hefeng and Shawei walked back and forth on the deck to rescue the injured sailors. With the protection of the invisible barrier, the evil beasts could not approach them at all.
Seeing that the evil beasts were quickly killed, Tilly still did not relax her vigilance.
These fish-shaped monsters are obviously not enough to cause the violent shaking of the Pretty Woman at first, which feels like a huge monster hitting the bottom of the ship underwater. Without the protection of Molly's servants, if there were a few more collisions like this, the ship would probably turn into a pile of broken planks floating on the sea. The witches can still barely protect themselves, and it is estimated that few sailors on the ship can escape the end of being buried in the belly of the fish.
As she expected, when the last evil beast was flattened by Ashes' great sword, a huge shadow appeared in the sea water in front of the left side of the ship. The Pretty Woman hits.
"Be careful!" she yelled.
Before the words fell, shadows passed under the ship, and the sailboat shook violently again. The two masts made a series of frightening noises, as if they were about to fall down at any moment. Fortunately, the shadow didn't make any other attack moves, and quickly disappeared into the depths of the sea, probably because it wanted to hit the Pretty Beauty with its back, and have another delicious meal.
Tilly fell back on the deck and briefly explained the situation.
"It must be forced out of the sea, otherwise this damn monster will sink the ship sooner or later." Ashes frowned.
"Let me try," Shawei said, "Since it is coming close to the bottom of the boat, as long as the distance is close enough, I can use a barrier to block its impact."
"God of the Sea," Old Jack wiped the sweat from his forehead, "If the opponent is really as huge as Lady Tilly said, ordinary attacks may not be effective. Even if it is forced out of the sea, how can we kill it?" ?”
"Leave it to me," Andrea tucked the slipped ends of her hair behind her ears, smiling confidently, "Within ten steps, no enemy can take my full blow."
The shadow appeared quickly, and this time it changed direction, rushing towards the Pretty Woman from the stern.
Tilly, who was watching from the sky, immediately issued an early warning signal. Shawei jumped out of the boat string after running to the position, with several coils of hemp rope firmly tied around her waist, and the other end of the rope was held in Ashes' hands, stably controlling the opponent's descent height.
When the shadow hit, Shawei instantly opened the barrier, and a gap suddenly appeared in the gray sea water, as if separated by some invisible object.
The monster slammed into the barrier, and its huge figure came to a standstill. Shawei let out a muffled groan, her hands drooping limply, as if she had expended a lot of strength. The shadow under her feet expanded rapidly, and the sea water suddenly rose.
"Pull her up!" Tilly swooped down and shouted.
Ashes lifted it vigorously with one hand, and just as Shave was pulled onto the deck, a huge sea beast roared and rushed out of the water. The rising waves caused the Pretty Woman to sway from side to side. At first glance, it looks like a mixture of a sharp toothed shark and an octopus, with several tentacles protruding from the top of the triangular head, shooting straight to the deck.
Even by hearing the sound, it could be known that it was extremely angry at this inexplicable impact, and its tentacles, which were as thick as an adult's thigh, swept the railing to pieces, but it still couldn't break into the defense that Shawei was trying to hold up.
"Andrea!" Ashes bent down, clasped his fingers together, and put his hands into a bowl shape.
"Here we come," the latter stepped on Ashes' palm, "Leave everything to me!"
The Transcendent threw her forcefully, and Witch Andrea turned into an arc, flying above the monster's head in the blink of an eye.
She summoned the bow of magic power, pulled the full string, and a dazzling light suddenly burst out between the bow and the string. This ray of light is like the sun sticking out of the clouds, reflecting the sea surface into a piece of gold.
"Go!"
Lightning flashed, and the arrow, which was purely made of magic power, let out a piercing roar, penetrating into the monster's body like a thunderbolt. The monster's gray-brown skin suddenly swelled up, golden cracks spread all over its body, strands of brilliance leaked from its body, and then it exploded to pieces with a bang.
The huge explosion caused circles of ripples on the surface of the sea. The black blood plasma was like ink, dyeing the seawater into a pitch black. The shattered internal organs fell like rain, and the tentacles that originally wrapped around the ship curled up. The behemoth with its head opened sank into the bottom of the sea together.
Andrea plopped into the sea.
"Ah... help, help, I can't swim! Gulu, who... someone give me a hand!"
Ashes glanced at the tired Sha Wei, and sighed helplessly. "What a fool who only knows how to be handsome," she untied the huge sword behind her back, plunged into the sea, and swam towards the opponent.
Tilly finally heaved a sigh of relief, the threat of the sinking ship was lifted, at least she didn't have to worry about having to swim to Border Town.
Suddenly, she felt a chill on the tip of her nose, raised her head, and couldn't help but freeze in place.
I saw snowflakes floating in the gray sky without knowing when, like elves flying all over the sky, covering the entire field of vision.
"This...is snow?" He Feng stared blankly at the melting ice crystals in his hands, "Will it snow in Graycastle's autumn?"
"Oh, I said how the further west you go, the colder it gets," Jack One-eyed took out his pipe and lit it again, "It seems that you really live in a place where the water is in dire straits."
Tilly didn't answer, but looked solemn. The gentle wind comes from the Kingdom of Dawn, which is like spring all the year round. Old Jack is from the fjords. Even in winter, it is difficult to see a heavy snow. But for the west of Greycastle, snow has a special meaning.
The court instructor once said that this heavy snow will last forever, and it will come with the horn of the devil's invasion. It symbolizes the beginning of the evil month, and it will not subside until the end of the evil month.
Although the month of demons has never had a fixed end date, it usually starts in winter. Could it be that Border Town is already under the attack of demonic beasts now? Moreover, the water ghosts in the sea basically only appear in the east of Scorching Fire Island, and now they even appear in the extreme south cape. I don't know if the merchant ships traveling to and from the kingdom's continent will be attacked by these monsters.
Tilly became more and more worried.
After two days of sailing in the heavy snow, they finally saw the hazy coastline.
