Rise of the Wasteland

Talk About "Patriotism" From Another Angle

In recent days, a guy scolded me for kneeling and licking the government in "Chapter Talk", and his words were ugly. The general idea is that I am doing such a useless thing like 'patriotism' so happily, it must be something wrong with my brain or something.

Over the years of writing a book, I have seen a lot of people of all kinds. Usually when I come across comments that make me uncomfortable, I just delete them and ignore them—a dog bites a man, and a man can’t bite a dog, right?

But this guy who scolded me made me suddenly interested in refuting. This kind of people talk about the benefits of everything, and don't do it if there is no benefit. If you ask me, this is Luthor's standard mentality.

I originally wanted to talk about "patriotism" from the perspective of the country, ideals, and future interests. However, I have said similar words before, so I will just talk about it from a different angle and talk about how much immediate benefit "patriotism" can bring me.

I am a codewriter, and my customers are readers. Using words to obtain readers' approval and exchange for manuscript fees is my source of income.

Then I must analyze what kind of commonality my readers have, and what kind of stories do they like?

Obviously, my readers are all Chinese.

Humans are creatures with strong self-awareness and strong sociality. A person will definitely hope that his group can prosper. After all, the ethnic group is finished, and it is not good for anyone.

I don't deny that there are many "jingri" and "exquisite" among the Chinese people, but for most people, it is an instinct to hope that their country will be strong. Then I will definitely write in this direction.

If I write the protagonist as a Chinese traitor and help the Japanese to harm my compatriots, I will be scolded to death. The sales are definitely not good.

And I wrote that the protagonist cheated and kidnapped the Japanese and the Americans, robbed foreigners of their money, picked up foreigners' girls, and occupied foreigners' territories. Hahaha......, readers like it very much. The banknotes came naturally.

I'm not going to have trouble with money, am I?

So I definitely want to write 'patriotic'. Judging from the current situation, our government is good in all aspects and has been recognized by the broad masses of the people, so I must conform to this ideological tendency.

If I write that the main character complains and hates everyone, there must be a small number of people who have the same mentality.

And I need to follow the mainstream thinking of the society, so that the audience of my writing will be large and I will make more money.

As for how much I earn?

My current writer level is LV5, and I have already signed a long-term contract. The next step is to make a great appointment. Readers who are familiar with the starting point can make an approximate estimate.

I have rebuilt my self-confidence from a slap in the street, isn't the benefit of this "patriotic" enough?

Of course I want to write 'patriotism'.

It's all money! 8) For more exciting novels, welcome to visit our Reading Academy
