Chapter Three Hundred and Ninety Sixth Age Dividing Line
Chapter 396 Age Demarcation Line
"It's not wise to take part in this competition when we are younger. We have less time to accumulate." Hermione disagreed with Fred's adventure, reminding him of the disadvantages he would face.
Joe waved his hand and said impatiently, "Not everyone loses to the seniors." He turned to Harry and asked, "You're going to sign up too, Harry?"
Harry was stunned for a moment. He really hadn't thought about it. He only knew that he could not apply if he was under seventeen years old. He was definitely not old enough to sign up. But now it seems that the list is not reviewed by the teacher. In this case, magic can obviously hide the registration.
He pondered for a moment, shook his head quickly, and said, "Forget it, it's not a good idea to violate the school rules in front of the foreign embassy."
Fred and Joe rolled their eyes in disapproval and sighed, "You guys are really not pursuing."
"Where's Krum?" Ron asked, looking around. "Dumbledore didn't say, where do Durmstrang's students go to sleep."
His mind just now was on the Beauxbatons girl, and Durmstrang's Krum. When Dumbledore told everyone to go back to sleep, he remembered that Dumbledore didn't say where the foreign envoys went to sleep.
He knew the answer right away. They had just reached the Slytherin table when Professor Karkaroff hurried over to his student.
"Okay, go back to the boat." He said gently to a student again, "Victor, how are you feeling? Are you full? Would you like me to get some more mulled wine from the kitchen?"
Krum shook his head, put on his fur cloak, and stood up from his seat.
"Professor, I'd like some mulled wine," said another of Durmstrang's students, salivating.
"No one asked you, Polyac." Professor Karkaroff said sternly, the gentle expression on his face disappeared without a trace, "you dripped food on your robe again, you annoying guy."
Professor Karkaroff turned around and walked out the door with his students. They walked towards Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Harry stood sideways and let them pass first.
"Thank you." Professor Karkaroff said casually, nodding at Harry.
In an instant, he was completely stunned. He turned his head to Harry and stared at him with a look of astonishment, as if he couldn't believe his eyes.
Durmstrang's students stood behind their principal, stopped, and looked at the person opposite curiously.
Karkaroff's eyes were fixed on Harry, staring at the scar on his head, Durmstrang's students all looked at Harry curiously, with thoughtful expressions on their faces.
The boy with the soup stained robe on his chest gestured to the girl next to him to show her the scar on Harry's head.
"Yeah, that's Harry Potter," came a furious voice from behind them.
Karkaroff turned sharply, Mad-Eye Moody was already standing behind him, his heavy body on crutches. The magic eye, staring at him without blinking
His face turned pale, a look of hatred and anger, and fear, just one expression conveyed a lot of inner feelings.
"It's you," Professor Karkaroff stared at Moody in a daze, as if he couldn't confirm his eyes.
"Of course it's me," said Professor Moody gloomily, "unless you have something to say to Potter, otherwise, Karkaroff, get out of here, you're blocking the door."
Only then did they realize that half of the students in the auditorium were looking this way, wanting to know what was going on.
Professor Karkaroff said nothing, he waved his hand and left with the students. Until he disappeared, Professor Moody stared at him with the magic fake eye, with a look of extreme disgust on his scarred face.
......
The next day was Saturday, a crisp, cool morning. The classmates are getting up earlier than usual, and they don't have the procrastination of the weekdays at all.
Early in the morning, Harry, Hermione and Ron came down from the dormitory early. But when they came to the foyer, more than twenty people were already there. Someone was still holding bread, sitting near the Goblet of Fire, carefully looking at this special magic item.
The cup was placed in the center of the foyer, on the stool where the Sorting Hat was usually placed, and around the stool there was a thin golden line. A ten-foot-radius circle encloses the cup, making it inaccessible to persons of inappropriate age.
Harry greeted George and asked curiously, "Did anyone put their name in?"
George said in a flat tone, "Durmstrong's students have just come over, and they have all voted. Beauxbatons haven't come yet, and they should all sign up. Hogwarts students, they may not have thought about it. Well, the game at home, let alone lose easily."
Harry looked around, then leaned over to George and asked in a low voice, "Are you going to sign up? If you want to hide the age line, you can."
"Yeah!" George let out a casual hum and said, "Both Beauxbatons and Durmstrang's principals met me yesterday. It's not good if I'm going to join in the fun. Not to mention the rewards are for me, It's like no."
If the reward is something rare, he might be able to pull his face down and bully the children. But a mere 1,000 gold Galleons is not enough for him to earn a day. To beat children for this reward is too much.
"Okay then." Harry thought about it in his heart. They have had a lot of things recently, and it seems that there is really no way to get involved in this Triwizard Tournament.
At this moment, there was a burst of laughter from the door, and everyone followed the sound. Seeing Fred, Joe, and Lee Jordan walking happily all the way, smiles on their faces.
"Will their age-enhancing agents work?" Ron asked curiously, with a look of anticipation and eagerness on his face.
One thousand Galleons was a lot of money for Ron, and if Fred and Joe could cheat the age line, he certainly could too.
If George didn't participate, Ron would have nothing to fear for other senior students. After all, he had been training with George, and he still had this confidence.
"I guess it won't work, Dumbledore will take this into account." Hermione said disapprovingly.
"Aging agents can't increase the actual age, and the magic of increasing the actual age is difficult for even the most sophisticated wizards to master. This is not a simple matter. They should consider Confusion Charms, or even compound decoctions, and Not trying to fake age."
George coldly criticized their methods, and even suggested the real solution.
