Main Text Chapter 2 Mentor Jon

More than twenty years ago, the two brothers' father, Noah Pat, saved Jon who was dying outside the manor. After Jon recovered from his injuries and learned that he was homeless, Viscount Noah took him in with a soft heart and gave him a good job as a fruit farmer.

Why Jon lay injured outside the manor and his life story are still a mystery. He has never told anyone else. He always said that he was from another planet, but he never explained where the country 'planet' was.

Jon is a well-spoken man with a knack for planting and building. When they were children, both brothers loved to come to Jon and listen to him tell some magical stories. In the world in the story, there are towering buildings, iron machinery flying in the sky, and even gardens built on the moon.

When Leon was a child, he was very happy to hear it and looked forward to the world in Jon's story. He thought that when he grew up, he would be able to visit the country in Jon's story. But as time passed and Leon gradually woke up, he realized that everything Jon said was just a figment of his imagination. This feeling of shattered childhood dreams was difficult for Leon to accept. From then on, Leon always faced Jon with disdain and anger.

Leon was actually very angry that Angel was so convinced of Jon and even worshiped him as his mentor. However, no matter how he tried to dissuade him, Angel just smiled and neither refused nor refuted.

Angel's attitude towards dealing with others is very similar to Jon's. It looks calm and gentle, but it doesn't take softness or hardness.

Leon picked up the parchment on Angel's desk and looked at the densely written words on it. His eyes instantly turned into mosquito-repellent incense.

"You don't need to use the common Chinese script of mainland China. You have to use the script taught by the old man to record it. What is written is not meant for people to read, unless... it is some ulterior secret." Leon was still mumbling, but suddenly remembered Seemingly, he raised the corner of his mouth evilly and looked at Angel: "Dear brother, why don't you explain it to me? Could it be that you are recording... the little troubles of adolescence~~ You might as well say it, brother can Answer for you."

Angel sighed helplessly and pointed to a corner of the paper: "These are Chinese characters that my mentor taught me. They are common characters in my mentor's hometown. The recorded content is the meaning of several physical constants calculated by my mentor."

Angel pointed to a few more tadpole-like symbols: "These are Arabic numerals, similar to the measurement units of our Golden Bird Empire, but this recording method is simpler and more intuitive. The meanings of these numbers correspond to the physical constants above . You can record a lot of things with this.”

Leon didn't understand even a single sentence of Angel's call. But he didn't care, he just thought that the old man Jon's ability to deceive had increased, and that his cute and innocent brother had become more brainwashed.

Leon originally had some sympathy and concern for Jon's physical condition, but now it is gone.

With a wave of his hand, Leon stopped Angel's rambling, and then took out a beautifully wrapped envelope from the inside of his armor.

"Okay, okay, stop talking. Anyway, I don't understand, and I don't want to hear it. Here, take it, this is the invitation letter from the city lord. This time I will inherit my father's title, and I need notarization from the city lord and Marquis Merlin. Half We will set off in a few months. Haven’t you always wanted to hear Master Megeve’s solo concert? When we get to Waterford, I will take you to the Ocean Theater after I finish my business, so that you can enjoy it all at once!”

Angel received the invitation with a slightly excited expression. He had long heard that there was a great musician in Waterford who was famous in the empire. No matter whether he was composing music or singing eulogies, he was first-class. Listen, how can you make him unhappy!

Seeing Angel trying his best to hold back his excitement and pretending to be calm, Leon couldn't help but reach out and ruffle Angel's golden hair.

Unsurprisingly, his actions aroused Angel's glare.

"I told you, don't touch my hair! This is a man's dignity, never give in!"

Hahahahaha, Leon was stunned for a long time and then suddenly raised his head and laughed. It took a long time to stop: "You have just turned fourteen, and you are not yet a man. You are just a young boy who has not yet grown up."

The two brothers were fighting for a while. Angel was still in the growth stage, so naturally he couldn't fight Leon, who was already burly and strong, like a tiger. In the end, Angel could only glare at Leon bitterly, and continued to record the homework assigned by Jon's instructor.

Leon had no choice but to touch his nose and leave without paying attention to his younger brother who lost his temper and ignored others.

It was about half an hour after Leon left that Angel finally docked from the ocean of numbers.

Looking at the empty room, Angel knew that Leon must have been gone for a long time. Looking at the time, it was almost time for lunch. He opened the door and saw two lunch boxes on the stone table in the yard. The head maid Mana was taking the dishes out of the boxes one by one.

Seeing that it was vegetable soup with bread and fruit again, Angel felt a little depressed.

He missed the meals cooked by his mentor so much. The simple fried rice seemed to contain magical power, making him unable to stop eating it.

Ever since his mentor's health deteriorated, Angel had never eaten such delicious food.

Last time, Angel asked his mentor to teach the chef how to cook, but the final product was simply terrible.

Sigh... Now that the mentor's limbs are almost atrophied, it is estimated that he will never be able to eat from the mentor again in the future.

Mana went upstairs with soup to feed the sick Jon, while Angel was immersed in sad self-reflection.

After dinner, Angel entered the house and saw Mana coming down from the second floor.

"Aunt Mana, is the mentor awake?"

"Second Master, Mr. Jon has woken up." Mana shook the clean porcelain plate in the basket: "Mr. Jon has a good appetite today and has finished all the soup."

"That's good, I'll go upstairs to see the mentor."

Looking at Angel running upstairs in a hurry, Mana smiled softly with doting eyes. The Pat Manor is now run by two young masters. The eldest young master is cold and arrogant, and the second young master is gentle and calm. Little do they know that these two young masters are actually still children who have not grown up. No matter how strong they appear on the outside, they are still soft inside; only in front of their personal servants will they let down their guard and show the liveliness that they should have at this age.

"Mentor!"

As soon as Angel opened the door of the attic, he saw an old man half lying on a lounge chair on the balcony, and a mute servant stood respectfully behind him.

The old man had a sallow complexion and dry skin. His appearance was completely different from that of the locals. He had a strong sense of foreignness. His eyes were a little cloudy, but his black pupils could still be seen.

He was the elder whom Anger respected most since his father's death, and also Anger's life mentor, Jon.
