Chapter 282 The Cave of End and Beginning
After learning the Animagus, Vader gradually fell in love with this way of traveling.
The humid and cold air in the morning, the free wind, the city gradually waking up from its sleep, and the countryside looking like an oil painting from above, all of these are things that humans who usually walk on two legs cannot experience.
Sometimes when you encounter an owl, you have a fight; sometimes when you encounter a group of pigeons, you will be frightened by them and fly around, which is also a rare pleasure.
In front of the field of vision, there are many scattered urban buildings.
The Thames River flows quietly, and the narrow streets and wide squares are intertwined, forming a unique texture of the city; the glass curtain walls reflect the morning sunshine, adding a layer of gorgeous decoration to this ancient city.
Wade gradually lowered the altitude, followed the direction, passed through the city center to Surrey, and then found Privet Drive.
Among several rows of identical houses, there is one house decorated in gold and red, with a huge lion head inlaid on the wall between the windows on the second floor. It looks so vivid, as if it will roar at any time.
Vader couldn't help but want to laugh. He could almost imagine the expressions on the Dursleys' faces when they saw this house.
The Peregrine Falcon lowered its height again and fell into an alley between houses. Then, a thirteen-year-old boy walked out of it.
Wade's outfit was nothing special even in a community of ordinary people. He walked to the unique house and knocked on the door.
Remus walked out quickly.
"Good morning, Vader," Remus said happily, "I said you'd be here soon."
"Good morning, Remus." Vader smiled and said, "Is Harry here too?"
"not yet……"
Before Remus could finish speaking, both of them turned their heads at the same time.
"Very well, go ahead -"
In a house not far away, a rude voice shouted:
"You'd better warn those weirdos for me not to visit my house in broad daylight! Don't come at night either! Those crooked sayings have anything to do with us! We are a well-behaved family!"
"Great! Why don't you say it yourself?"
Harry shouted at him, and without waiting for a reply, he ran out of the house quickly and ran straight to this side.
Behind him, Vernon Dursley stood at the door of his house, looking at the people here angrily.
What he just said was meant for Lupine and Sirius - Fenon was both afraid and disgusted with wizards and did not dare to talk to them face to face, but he would not pretend to be friendly either.
The family really didn't want to be associated with weird things, but since the two wizards moved here, Fenon Dursley was worried that his home would become a topic of conversation for others when he walked on the road.
He hated it.
Harry explained to the Dursleys that Sirius and others moved here to protect them. But the Dursleys didn't know whether they couldn't understand or were unwilling to accept it, and their attitude became even worse.
But after he finished yelling, Dursley realized that standing there was not only the annoying wizard, but also the child who came to his house last time and threatened to call the police.
Dursley's expression changed slightly, and without saying anything more, he closed the door with a bang.
To Dursley, the dark wizard Harry mentioned seemed to be a character in a story, far away from their lives. The police were real troubles that could arrive at their doorstep in a few minutes.
"Hi Vader, nice to meet you."
Harry seemed very lively. After saying hello, he asked Lupine: "Is there any breakfast, Remus?"
"There are sandwiches," Lupine said angrily. "They didn't give you breakfast?"
"Yes." Harry shrugged: "A piece of lettuce and half a piece of toast are just enough to keep me from starving to death."
Lupine started to get lucky. It was obvious that he wanted to curse, but he restrained himself and asked Vader what he wanted to eat.
Vader naturally refused.
He didn't ask Harry if he had given the Dursleys any living expenses -
According to the laws and social customs here, the Dursleys are obliged to raise Harry and Dudley, who are minors. However, even if Harry and Dudley work as adults, they do not need to support the Dursleys, and living expenses are out of the question.
What's more, Harry is still a minor.
Not to mention the many extra housework he has to bear, in terms of funds alone, because the Dursleys adopted Harry, the government will provide some tax-free benefits and subsidies, and schooling is completely free, which actually does not add much financial burden.
In this case, it would sound weird if Vader suggested that they give the Dursleys living expenses.
…
Kreacher is making breakfast today.
After Wade entered, the elf came out to bow.
It seemed to have been specially groomed. The pillowcase wrapped around it was clean, and even the white hair inside its ears was combed meticulously.
"Welcome, Master Gray, and little Master Potter... Today's breakfast is cereal and sandwiches. Would you like some baked potatoes?"
"Anything is fine, come on." Harry muttered, "I'm starving to death."
"Just give me a cup of black tea, Kreacher." Vader said.
The aged elf bowed again before disappearing with a thud.
After a while, the table was piled with food, and Wade's black tea was brewed.
After Harry had breakfast, Sirius came back from outside.
He wore a black suit, a bow tie, and his slightly long hair was tied into a low ponytail. He looked elegant but also a bit melancholy.
Sirius also carried a portrait of Regulus.
"This was his last wish." Sirius said in a low voice, "I want him to witness this scene, too."
Lupin patted his shoulder silently.
At the appointed time of eleven o'clock, a flash of fire suddenly flashed in the room, and then Fox suddenly appeared.
It flapped its wings and grabbed Sirius' shoulder with one claw.
"Harry, hold on to Sirius!"
Lupin said, grabbing Sirius' arm while holding Wade tightly with the other hand.
Harry immediately hugged Sirius' other arm, and Kreacher hugged Sirius' left leg without hesitation.
Sirius, who was hanging a string, had to reach out and hold Fox's paw. Seeing that they were all ready, Fox made a soft chirping sound.
The fire suddenly flashed, and Wade felt that his eyes were blurred, and the surrounding environment changed.
In the dark and damp cave, the lake with no visible edge was still as dark as before, and there were traces of the last burning of the Inferi on the wall.
Harry looked around curiously and asked Wade softly: "Is this the place you came last time?"
Wade nodded: "We found Regulus here."
Harry had heard about that experience, and he felt a little numb when he heard it.
There were at least hundreds of Inferi right where they were standing.
Dumbledore walked out of the darkness, and his silver beard seemed to be shining.
He took out the locket and whispered: "Start here... and end here."
