Chapter 1710 Bruce Wayne and the Chamber of Secrets (VIII)
After finishing Loki's class, Harley and Helen wanted to go back to the dormitory to rest for a while, mainly because Harley needed to rest for a while. They could take a nap for 20 minutes before going to other classes, so that they would have enough time to check information at noon.
Harley yawned and walked towards her dormitory, but her vision was blurred and extremely dark. She saw a figure rushing out from the end of the corridor. It was a girl with disheveled hair. She looked a little older than Harley. She held a magic wand in her hand, and her hand was emitting magic light.
"Harley! Be careful!" Helen shouted.
Harley instinctively turned sideways, and a magic light hit the wall behind her.
In an instant, the girl with platinum hair showed her fierce appearance. She raised her lips like a beast and showed her fangs to the attacker. She rolled on the spot to avoid the second magic light and rushed to the attacker at a very fast speed.
The next second, the girl who attacked Harley was grabbed by the wrist. Harley, who was exhausted and aroused to the greatest aggression, grabbed her wrist and stabbed her eyeball with a sharp magic wand.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Harley screamed in pain, still holding the magic wand tightly, and even planned to pierce the other party's brain directly. Fortunately, Helen rushed up in time to hold Harley, and at this time Barry had already rushed to the stairs.
"Harley! Are you okay?!"
Harley seemed to have just recovered. She slowly loosened her hand, without even looking at the girl who was screaming while covering her eyeball. She sighed a little tiredly, shook her head and said, "No, I'm fine."
Then, she turned to look at the attacker, squeezed out a hiss from her throat with some disgust, and cursed: "Waste."
Barry and Helen were stunned. They had never seen this side of Harley before, and Jennifer, who was standing on the first step of the stairwell, stopped moving up, hesitated for a moment, and turned and ran away.
Barry looked back and didn't see Jennifer, so he said, "Help her quickly, the professor should be here soon."
Sure enough, Loki hurried over with a group of students. Seeing the student lying on the ground wailing with the wand still stuck in his eye socket, he was stunned for a moment, and then said, "Is this another person who stuck the wand into his eye? I heard that another student went crazy and wanted to attack others. Where is the victim?"
Helen rushed over and pulled Loki's sleeve. Loki bent down, and Helen whispered in his ear, and then her brows frowned deeper and deeper.
Loki walked around a few children and half-knelt to check the condition of the injured. Harley hugged her arms and leaned against the window. She had no sense of being a victim. Her eyes fell on the eyes of the attacker who was still struggling on the ground.
One of the attacker's eyeballs had undoubtedly been pierced and could not be saved. Perhaps magic could reshape one for her, but the original one would definitely not be usable. But what surprised Harley was the madness revealed in the intact eyeball.
She was indeed crazy, Harley concluded, but this madness did not belong to her. She was just a poor creature being manipulated. Someone had seduced her with madness and forced it on her. Unlike Harley, madness was buried deep in her heart, only occasionally showing a sharp corner.
Just now, a corner was revealed. Harley lowered her eyes and thought that every Gotham person was like a monster in human skin. The cold rain in countless nights had already made the things under their human skin chaotic and strange. In short, it had nothing to do with people, but more like a collection of madness.
Finally, the school doctor and other great wizards came to ask about Harley's situation. Harley's smart and sharp little head turned slightly, and immediately lowered her head, saying in a victim's posture: "I'm sorry, my parents died early, and I grew up among relatives who wanted to fight for the inheritance. I have a strong self-defense mentality, and sometimes I will attack others when I am stimulated. I really didn't mean it."
Master Song, who led the group, immediately showed a sympathetic expression. She gently stroked Harley's head, held her in her arms and said: "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, child, this academy will never allow anyone to hurt others recklessly. We will soon figure out the whole story, and everything will be fine."
But everything didn't get better.
After the last compulsory class, a boy who looked no more than fourth grade rushed into Lan Ling's classroom. He shouted in horror: "Third floor, third floor corridor! Someone has written on the wall!"
In Bruce's slightly unreal perspective, everyone left the room in a hurry, led by the parasite that parasitized the human body. They all rushed to the scene of the incident.
He was a parasite. Bruce could see that those terrible and dirty factors parasitized a human who might be an agent. How could they allow such a creature to appear in the school and become a professor?
A sense of disgust and crisis appeared in Bruce's mind for the first time. He had never found that he had such great malice towards non-human things before.
Under Barry's pulling, Bruce followed the crowd to the corridor, and then saw a line of strange and confusing words on the wall of the corridor on the third floor of the teaching building.
It was not any known language, but Bruce knew clearly that everyone present, regardless of nationality, race, and education level, could read this line of words-
"The door of the secret room has been opened. Those who are enemies of the heirs, be careful!"
Bruce really couldn't understand the language of the people around him discussing this sentence. He thought he might have a kind of anger because of the language barrier, so he didn't stay any longer and pulled Barry away from the corridor quickly.
"What's wrong with you, Bruce? Since you just woke up, you seem absent-minded. Are you okay?" Barry chased after Bruce and asked him.
"I'm fine, but I have to go to the library now. I plan to spend a day and a night learning Chinese and Japanese. I'm tired of not being able to speak the same language."
Barry didn't know for a moment whether Bruce's inexplicable anger or his plan to learn two languages in one day was more surprising.
"Something strange happened."
In the restaurant of Kamar-Taj Academy, Helen gently poked the crystal rice grains on the surface of the rice with chopsticks, and said with a little worry: "Like I said, the elephant is in the room, but no one noticed it."
"What do you think that sentence means?"
Harley asked. There was a fried saury on her plate, which was obviously Japanese style. There were some Chinese dishes between the two of them, all of which were simple home-cooked stir-fries. The detailed description was that a random vegetable and meat were combined and cooked with a light taste.
But in fact, neither Helen nor Harley could be called light in taste. The common point between them in taste was that they loved meat, and stir-fried and deep-fried food was the best. It was just that neither of them was in the mood to eat, so they just took some dishes at random.
"First of all, the most obvious thing is, what is the secret room? A secret room? Why was the secret room opened? What is inside? Who is the heir? Who needs to be careful?"
Harry paused while holding the chopsticks. She analyzed as rationally as possible: "Some students went crazy and attacked others and this message on the wall must be related. This is one thing."
"And according to the information we know, the question we need to analyze is whether this matter is related to the book placed in the bottom drawer of our dormitory closet."
"Of course." Helen was very sure that her conspiracy thinking, which had just developed not long ago, was improving at a very fast speed. She was almost absorbing Harley's wisdom from a distance and keeping up with her thoughts at an astonishing speed.
"We just started to study this book, and strange things happened one after another. No one would believe that there is no connection between them, but we didn't open the book. How did the elephant get out?"
Faced with this question, Harley was silent, then she looked up at Helen and said: "You are the daughter of Loki Odinson, right?"
Helen nodded. This is an obvious fact, because the two of them look so similar. Even if she wants to deny it, the appearance is ironclad.
"Then in this academy, the only one who can be called the heir is probably you. You have royal blood, don't you?"
"But I won't inherit Asgard."
"Won't you?"
Helen paused for a moment, then said: "First of all, my life experience is a bit strange. I do have the royal blood of Asgard, and even the power of this God King, but my other father... He may not want me to become the queen of Asgard."
"Does he have the ability to stop it?" Harley hinted at the power of Asgard.
"Of course." Helen hinted at the power of her other father, but she still asked hesitantly: "If I am the heir mentioned in this sentence, then who is against me? Why do you make so many troubles in school?"
"We are just going to investigate this."
Just as the two were talking, a student came over with a plate, but when he came to the table where the two girls were, he turned around and did not choose this shortest way. The students behind him did the same.
Obviously, it is not only Harley who thinks that Helen, who has the royal blood of Asgard, is the heir. There is really a throne to inherit in her family. If she is not the heir, who else can it be?
But there are exceptions. Sirila took the initiative to sit opposite Helen, next to Harley. She looked into Helen's eyes and said, "Don't worry too much. Your father and other professors will solve everything."
"I don't think I'm the heir." Helen shook her head gently and said, "It's because the direction is too obvious that all this may be a sleight of hand. I never thought of this before, but now I am clear and sharp."
"The upcoming school competition will add fuel to all this chaos." Harley asserted, "More and more students will respond to the demons. Even if the Supreme Mage is here, the demons dare not really do anything, but if the compatibility is incompatible or the power is imbalanced, there will definitely be a bigger mess."
"Why is this happening?" Helen seemed a little detached, her mind full of the font on the Book of the Dead. In her imagination, she opened the book and saw an elephant right here, in this room.
Must the book be opened to see things that ordinary people cannot see?
The moment this dangerous thought appeared, Helen kicked it out of her mind. She took a deep breath, returned to the dormitory with Harley, threw herself into the soft big bed, and then fell asleep in a slightly confused state of mind.
After she fell asleep, Harley squatted down, opened the drawer, and took out the big black book that revealed weirdness and horror.
Her fingers reached between the heavy cover and the first page, and with a slight force from her knuckles, the book was opened.
