Chapter 378 Professor McGonagall's Efficiency, a Temporary Dance Partner
The clock struck eight on time. Aaron looked at the entrance of the hall, but the familiar face didn't show up.
"Gaius." Professor McGonagall walked over quickly with a girl, "Just in time. This is Luna Lovegood from Ravenclaw. I finally convinced her."
"Hehe!" Aaron looked at the girl with waist-length blonde hair and a quirky look, and couldn't help but smile bitterly. "Professor, you are so efficient. You found it in less than three minutes."
"Now is not the time to joke." Professor McGonagall pushed Luna to Aaron anxiously, "I'll go and notify Filch to open the door of the auditorium first, you guys hurry up and get familiar with it."
"Uh... hello." Luna He said slowly, "I'm a third-year Ravenclaw and I don't like dancing, so you'd better be mentally prepared."
"Perhaps I should be sorry." Aaron sighed, "It's really embarrassing to let someone who doesn't like dancing accompany me to the dance."
"At least the result is good." Cedric couldn't help but tease, "Luna, you helped a lot this time."
"I didn't want to come at first, but Professor McGonagall said she would lend me his pet for a day."
Aaron was stunned for a moment, turned his head and looked at Abe, who was squatting on the ground with a proud face, and his heart couldn't help but skip a beat.
"No, this is absolutely not possible."
"Nothing is impossible." Professor McGonagall glared at Aaron, "I'm the vice-president, and your dance partner didn't come in time, there's nothing I can do about it."
"But professor, you know, Abe is not an ordinary cat, it..."
"I believe you can take good care of it.
Right, Mr. Gaius?" Professor McGonagall gritted her teeth, her voice full of warning.
Aaron suddenly felt a great deal of pressure and nodded blankly.
Creak!
The oak door of the hall was opened, and Fleur and Roger walked in front confidently, followed by Krum and his partner, Cedric and Cho Chang in the middle, Harry and Parvati followed behind somewhat restrainedly, and finally Aaron and Luna.
The walls of the hall were covered with silver frost, and the ceiling was a starry night sky, with countless silver stars falling like raindrops.
Hundreds of beautiful flower fairies flew in the air, and several long tables were replaced by hundreds of lanterns.
After they came in, hundreds of people applauded to welcome them.
The warriors brought their partners to the guest of honor, Dumbledore showed a good smile, and the other referees also changed into formal wear.
Barty Crouch did not come, and Percy Weasley sat in his place.
Adrian looked at Aaron, then at Luna beside him. After a moment of confusion, he showed an approving look and raised a thumbs up.
The warriors and their dance partners sat down at the table of the main guest seats. There was no food on the plate, but there was a menu. When the name was read, the corresponding food would appear on the plate.
"It's quite Christmas-themed." Luna hugged Abe and said with a smile, "It's really beautiful."
"After all, there are guests." Aaron meant something, "They have to feel at home."
"The hall of Beauxbatons has a huge diamond statue, shining." Fleur said contemptuously, "The food is also top-notch, there is also a choir of mountain fairies, and there are no ghosts who play pranks."
"That's right, that's it, that's right." Davis said, patting the table, as if Fleur was right.
"This senior's self-control is really not ordinary poor!" Aaron lowered his voice and said disdainfully.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, just eat well!
The Christmas banquet is much more sumptuous than usual."
"It's just too greasy."
"You can choose not to eat!" Aaron rolled his eyes.
"If Miss Delacour is dissatisfied with the food, you can find my brother." Adrian smiled, "It's no exaggeration to say that he is proficient in various specialties of various countries. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed."
"Are you kidding?"
"This is true." Harry interrupted, "I had the honor to taste it once at the Weasley family two years ago. It was really unforgettable."
"Harry." Aaron immediately winked at him and said seriously, "Some things can't be said casually!"
Harry reacted, smiled awkwardly, and lowered his head to eat silently.
"Don't be so modest, this is the truth." Percy said.
Puff!
Aaron suddenly felt a violent twitch in his heart. Percy's stab was really sour and spicy.
"Really?" Fleur looked at Aaron suspiciously and asked.
"It's fake." Aaron said unhappily, "I am the heir of the family after all. Do I need to study recipes with my status?"
"It seems to be true."
Aaron laughed and didn't want to explain.
It's up to you whether you believe it or not, but it's up to him whether he cooks or not.
"Good performance." Adrian said suddenly, "I really didn't expect you to find a second partner in such a short time."
Bang!
Aaron's fork fell on the plate, and he was embarrassed: "So... Hermione, you did this?"
Adrian shrugged, "You really shouldn't tell anyone who your partner is. How does it feel to be stood up?"
"Where is she? Did you do anything to her?"
"Don't worry." Adrian pointed to the room at the back, "Miss Granger is eating in there.
I have to admit that you have good taste. She is really beautiful."
Aaron rolled his eyes and was about to get up to take a look, but was stopped by Adrian's eyes, "Sit down!
I will explain what needs to be explained, now you have to eat well."
"Sister, are you free? This has nothing to do with you "Did you receive my Christmas present?"
Adrien did not answer directly, but asked with a smile: "Did you receive my Christmas present for you?"
"An unforgettable dance, is that what you mean?" Aaron said unhappily, "Someone stood me up and deliberately embarrassed me."
"You have a way to solve it, I know you do.
Facts have proved that you did it."
"That..." Luna said embarrassedly, "I was called by Professor McGonagall."
"Is that so?" Adrien was a little surprised, "I thought you had pulled a beautiful girl temporarily, now it seems that the teachers at Hogwarts are not bad."
"Minerva has always been reliable, otherwise she would not be the vice-principal of Hogwarts." Dumbledore said.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you." Aaron snorted, "I have a dance partner, and knowing that she didn't stand me up on purpose, I feel much better."
Adrien smiled but said nothing, but the familiar playfulness in his eyes made Aaron's heart beat wildly, and a feeling of uneasiness arose spontaneously.
The dinner was a great success, but Aaron felt it was boring and absent-minded.
After dinner, Dumbledore stood up and waved his wand. All the tables, chairs and cutlery flew to the wall, leaving a large empty space in the middle.
He turned the empty space in the middle into a stage, placed a set of musical instruments on the right wall, and the specially invited weird sisters went on stage together, picked up their instruments and played.
As the beautiful music sounded, all the lanterns in the hall went out, and only the dance floor in the middle was brightly lit.
"Let's go! It's time to dance."
Cedric took Qiu Zhang to the stage first to lead the dance, and Fleur and Krum followed closely with their respective partners.
Harry pursed his lips nervously, was pulled onto the stage by Parvati, and jumped up stumblingly.
"Uh... there is a small problem." Luna said with a red face, "I said I don't know how to dance."
"It's okay, I'll take you." Aaron shrugged, "I'm quite confident in dancing."
Luna danced very stiffly at first and accidentally stepped on him a few times.
But Aaron was professionally trained after all. Genes attached great importance to communication and etiquette, and spent a lot of time training him.
Under his guidance, Luna quickly got into the rhythm and danced the waltz gracefully, not much worse than the other four groups of warriors.
Gradually, many people joined in, and the warriors were no longer the center of the dance floor.
Neville and Ginny were in one group, Draco and Pansy were in one group, Dumbledore and Maxim were in one group, and even the half-crippled Moody and Professor Sinistra danced clumsily.
Adrian sat alone in a chair, watching his brother dance with interest.
Abe squatted beside her honestly, putting some snacks in his pocket from time to time.
Finally, the organ played the last note, and the song ended, and the auditorium burst into warm applause.
"Wuhu!" Luna shouted excitedly, gave Aaron a hug, and smiled: "Dancing is not so meaningless."
"But it doesn't make any sense." Aaron put down his right hand that was around Luna's waist, and said politely: "The warrior's task of leading the dance is completed, we can go down."
At this time, the second song sounded, and the rhythm was much faster than the first one.
Luna was still a little reluctant, but she had no choice if Aaron didn't want to, and no one else could lead her.
"Won't you dance a little longer?" Adrian teased, "The dance lasts four hours, and you left in less than twenty minutes. Is that too bad?"
"I'm too bad." Aaron said speechlessly, "I didn't want to dance, but I had to come because of the tradition of the Triwizard Tournament, and even my dance partner was found temporarily.
I have to meet Hermione now, and the misunderstanding tonight must be explained clearly."
Adrian raised his eyebrows, "Are you blaming me for sending your dance partner away?"
"Yes." Aaron admitted very bluntly, "Even if you are my sister, you can't embarrass me like this!"
"I just wanted to see your ability to respond.
If you don't find a partner, Miss Granger will come out, but I will find it boring."
"But I didn't expect Professor McGonagall to intervene."
"That's right, pretty girl." Adrian smiled meaningfully, "But this is even more interesting, which means that a girl who had no intersection with Aaron before has joined in."
Aaron:......
