Chapter 234: Harpist Alliance (IV)
"Where is this..."
Abil slowly opened her eyes, feeling weak and having trouble concentrating.
But she quickly became alert, remembering her last memory - being tightly grasped by the claws of a terrifying dragon and being strangled to death.
"Damn it!"
Abil subconsciously reached for her waist, but did not find the familiar dagger. Even the emerald green cloak she was wearing disappeared, leaving only her underwear.
She sat on the ground and looked around alertly. She was surrounded by an unfamiliar palace, and everything inside seemed to be enlarged, so empty that it was a little scary.
Suddenly, a huge shadow enveloped her.
"Elf, you're awake."
She turned her head stiffly and saw the huge body and hideous head of the red dragon.
Abil was immediately terrified, and the nightmare scene of the red dragon about to devour her was still vivid in her mind. But she still gathered her courage, clenched her sweaty fists, and stammered:
"Evil dragon, what do you want to do?"
Casius grinned slightly, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth.
"What do you say?"
Abil's delicate body couldn't stop trembling, and she suddenly thought of some rumors collected by the Harper Alliance:
According to the description of the northern nobles, this red dragon is both a tyrannical dragon and a dragon of Slaanesh. He will transform into a hideous human body several meters tall, wantonly humiliate beautiful girls, and then return to his original form and swallow them in one bite.
Abil is only in her thirties, which is undoubtedly an age of budding for the long-lived elves.
And such humiliation is far more terrible than death!
She thought about dying heroically, but she never wanted to become a tool for the evil dragon to vent his desires.
Thinking of this, Abil gritted her silver teeth and said word by word:
"I...will not let you manipulate me!"
Abil slammed into the hard wall, trying to end her life.
This was her last struggle, and the only way.
However, in the face of such a huge disparity in power, even death became a luxury, something that was out of reach.
The red dragon only clenched its claws slightly, and the giant claws formed by the flashing magic force field tightly grasped the elf, making her feel like she was imprisoned in a cage, unable to move at all.
She didn't even have room to struggle.
"No..."
"Evil dragon, you will be punished."
Abil's eyes were full of despair. She lowered her eyelids slightly, her amber eyes closed tightly, and crystal tears flowed from the corners of her eyes.
The elf girl didn't dare to imagine what she was about to encounter, so she could only close her eyes tightly, and her shoulders were still trembling.
In the darkness, Abil felt the smell of sulfur coming towards her.
Could it be...
Is this the end of everything?
In the last moments, she thought of her lofty ambitions when she left the Elven Kingdom, her solemn oath when she joined the Harper Alliance, her coincidental first meeting with Richard, the two of them sneaking into the Red Robe Mage Tower to search for intelligence, and even the quiet beauty of watching the sunrise in the Kadaven Forest...
"I'm so unwilling to give up, I want to experience more."
Abil thought so.
However, she didn't wait for the pain she imagined.
"Elf, do you want to live?"
The dragon's low voice came, and with it came the burning sulfur breath.
Abil didn't breathe a sigh of relief, because she knew that the red dragon might have other intentions for her.
Maybe it was greedy for her body, or maybe it was to obtain the alliance's intelligence, but the former was easy for the dragon in front of her, and the latter was more likely.
She thought of the oath she made when she joined the Harper:
"Don't ask for anything in return, just for justice."
The Harper Alliance is a loose organization, but it still hides many crucial secrets.
The red dragon must not be allowed to know any information about the Harper, and must not serve the evil forces. This is the only thought in Abil's mind, and it is also the awareness that she is willing to sacrifice her life for.
"I will not live like this"
So, the elf girl still clenched her teeth, closed her eyes, and sealed her whole body.
She was determined not to reveal any information, even if she was eaten alive!
But the next sentence of the red dragon made her panic and she unconsciously lifted her guard.
"Don't you want to know the whereabouts of Richard?"
Abil suddenly opened her eyes and said nervously: "You, what did you do to him?"
"He is in a good situation now, it couldn't be better."
Casius just grinned and sneered, and created a magical image in front of the elf, and the figure of the half-elf ranger appeared in it.
"Fortunately, he is still alive"
Abil saw the familiar face and was relieved and felt much more at ease.
Then, the red dragon's voice sounded in the picture: "I want you to return to the Harper Alliance and become a double agent for the kingdom."
Abel's heart was lifted up again, and she prayed in her heart: "Richard, you won't agree."
But the elf began to worry again, worried that the next scene would be Richard who refused the order and was brutally killed by the red dragon, which made her mood become particularly complicated.
Not long after, Richard's familiar voice sounded again.
"It's my lord."
"How is it possible?"
Abel murmured to herself, her pretty face full of disbelief.
"Dragon, you bewitched him! Or is this just a deceptive illusion!"
Abil looked at the red dragon angrily. She was still unwilling to accept all this and attributed it to the enemy's lies.
How could Richard, his companion who had been with him day and night, betray the Harper Alliance without hesitation and become the person she despised the most and willing to serve the dragon!
Casius looked down at the elf with a playful smile on his face, slowly approaching her.
"Do you think I have to lie to you? Little snack."
"I just want you to put down those meaningless fantasies and walk out of the ridiculous fairy tale."
"This is the naked reality. The so-called beliefs and oaths of you Harpers are simply vulnerable. For their own lives, people can easily sacrifice everything. Even those glorious elven gods of yours have countless blood debts hidden behind them."
"Excuse me, the self-proclaimed righteous Harpers, have you ever investigated these past deeds?"
"No, it's absolutely not the case."
Abil shook her head in panic and quickly explained.
However, after the magic image was replayed over and over again, her defense seemed so pale and powerless in front of the red dragon's deep voice.
The red dragon's head was getting closer and closer, and the scorching breath made the elf sweat all over.
"So. Tell me, elf."
"Do you want to live or die?"
