Chapter 19 The Dragon Returns Home
"Roar——"
With a loud roar, the red dragon flapped its wings and flew over the rock fortress.
The ogre guards on the ground immediately waved their sticks and cheered, and the flying dragons guarding both sides of the gate stretched their necks, raised their heads, and let out long roars to welcome the arrival of the owner of this nest.
When Cassius returned to the Giant's Mouth Cave, even the Chimera came forward to greet him respectfully, not daring to be negligent in the slightest.
"Rump, how are you doing these days when I'm away?"
The ogre magician in front of him actually wore a pair of exquisite silver-rimmed glasses. I don't know where he got them from. The small glasses were struggling to support his huge head, which looked ridiculous.
Rump pushed his glasses deliberately, unfolded the scroll in his hand, and said while flipping through it carefully: "There are 38 ogres, 435 goblins, 26 wargs, 27 bugbears, 121 kobolds, and 15 flying dragons in the Burning Embers."
He paused for a moment before saying: "Three days ago, the great goblin leader Doro sent 27 warg riders to the Lost Mine. The losses were heavy. Only six riders came back alive, three of them were injured, and the remaining 21 warg riders were all missing."
"Where is Doro?"
"He's still at the goblin camp. The goblin camp and the kobold's nest overlap. He's leading people to demolish the puppies' nest." The ogre magician chuckled, with a sly light in his eyes.
"I see, you continue to study magic." The red dragon's tone did not reveal his joy or anger.
"Lord Doro, you can't tear it down. We need to hatch eggs here." The leader of the kobolds with gold teeth on his mouth smiled and looked up at the tall hobgoblin.
"Get out of here, you stinky pups, don't get in our way." Doro waved his hand with an impatient look on his face.
Gold Teeth hesitated for a moment, but still stood in front of the hobgoblin and said, "Lord, we specifically reported to General Rump, and he has approved it. Don't you think it's not acceptable to make temporary changes?"
In the eyes of the hobgoblins who advocate war and force, these weak kobolds are worthless and not even qualified to be cannon fodder. What's more, their intelligence indirectly led to his loss of dozens of wolf riders, causing Rump to ridicule him several times.
Thinking of this, the hobgoblin leader became more and more annoyed, and his already red-brown face became even redder. He kicked the kobold away and spat at it fiercely.
"Trump, Trump, Trump again, an ogre is nothing!"
"If you hadn't shown your face in front of the master and remembered my name, I would have killed you sooner or later--"
He was about to continue to kick him, but suddenly found that his shadow was covered by a huge black shadow, and the dog-headed man on the ground also showed an expression of meeting a savior.
"Sooner or later what?" The red dragon said in a cold tone.
Doro's face suddenly turned 180 degrees, and his face was immediately filled with a flattering smile. He turned around and said with a smile: "Master, you are back. I was negligent just now. I didn't go to the door to greet you, but wasted time here."
Golden Teeth knelt on the ground, crying and complaining: "Master, you have to make the decision for us kobolds. Although Lord Doro is kind, what can we kobolds do without a nest?"
Dolo glanced at him fiercely, then turned his head and put on a flattering smile: "You misunderstood, I was supervising the construction progress of the goblin camp, and I saw these kobolds disturbing me, so-"
Casius couldn't stand this farce, so he interrupted directly: "Enough, Doro, leave room for the kobolds, don't cause any more trouble."
Golden Teeth was satisfied, and he kept flattering, and his lips were almost playing with afterimages.
"Great master, your kindness and justice are unmatched, and your power is unparalleled."
"Continue to repair your nest."
The red dragon didn't pay much attention to Jinya, but just said to the earth elf casually: "Bring those wolf riders here, I want to see what can cause them such heavy losses."
When the earth elf heard the red dragon mention the wolf riders, he was a little uneasy, but when he saw that the red dragon was not angry, he breathed a sigh of relief and continued to execute the order.
With the howling of wolves, several wolves carrying goblins ran out of the barracks and surrendered in front of the red dragon.
The six goblins in front of him were panicked, most of them were injured, and one was even carried out by the wolf. It was covered with burnt scars and was wrapped with herbs for healing. It looked like it would not live long.
Dolo held a whip in his hand and ordered sternly: "Tell the great master about your experience."
"That, that is a terrible monster." One of the goblins said.
"It ate everyone." Another goblin added.
"It, he is a shadow."
It was the same as the previous dog-headed man's words. The monster that can devour everything could not be seen clearly in the dark mine. Only a dark shadow could be vaguely seen, and it could be inferred that its size was very huge.
"Don't you have any useful information?" the red dragon asked.
Duolu saw that the red dragon seemed a little angry, and immediately swung the whip in his hand and roared: "Your cowardly escape is enough to shame the master. Now you have the opportunity to make up for your mistakes. Can't you play a little role?"
Although the goblins were afraid of being whipped, they knew nothing, and even their straw bag brains could not make up any decent lies.
Dolo looked up at the red dragon and suddenly changed his face: "Master, please trust me again, I will make these rubbish play a role, next time, next time for sure"
Just when Cassius was a little disappointed.
The goblin lying on the back of the wolf barely opened his eyes, opened his mouth with difficulty, and said intermittently: "I, I saw it, lightning, it, it can use lightning, blue."
The goblin's consciousness was already a little confused.
But it was obvious that lightning left a deep impression on it.
Lightning?
Or blue?
Could it be a blue dragon?
But then Cassius shook his head. Blue dragons prefer to live in the desert rather than in the dark and deep mines. Their arrogant character does not allow them to hide in the dark.
What's more, the blue dragon's territorial awareness is famously strong. It is impossible for it to let the dog-headed people and human smugglers enter its territory.
"I still have to go there in person to find out." The red dragon thought so.
Given the current situation, sending more followers over would simply consume their own forces. According to the wolf riders' description, even if they sent wyverns, they would probably just end up delivering food.
And Cassius would never let the gold mine that was delivered to his mouth run away.
The review was against the sky, and more than 200 words were deleted. Do goblins meet the system XP?
