Chapter 345: The Soul of Lazarus

As soon as the words fell, the altar suddenly seemed to become alive. The body of the stitched corpse on it melted at a speed visible to the naked eye, and finally even the bones disappeared without a trace.

At this time, the altar was dimly lit, and it had a strange smell no matter how you looked at it. After a while, the light was bright, and a stone pillar rose up in the four corners, with lifelike reliefs carved on it. On the top of each stone pillar was an angel statue with both hands raised above the head. A ball of gray light suddenly flashed between the hands of the four angels raised above the head.

Lan Wu immediately became alert when he saw this, and drank a bottle of powerful magic potion without thinking. Then he raised his staff and waited for the possible sneak attack of Archbishop Lazarus.

But his precautions were in vain.

Suddenly, four balls of white light shot out a beam of light, which landed in the middle of the altar. In an instant, the entire altar seemed to come alive, rumbling slightly, and a magic circle emitting dazzling light appeared.

"Who woke me up?"

Accompanied by an old voice, a translucent ghost appeared in the magic circle. This is an old man with white hair and beard, looking as kind as the old grandfather next door. Without Leah's reminder, Lan Wu saw the bishop's robe on the old ghost and recognized the origin of this ghost at a glance.

Archbishop Lazarus.

Lan Wu did not dare to take it lightly. According to Leah, Archbishop Lazarus had been killed by the devil when Tristram was destroyed by the devil, and she buried him with her own hands. Now he has resurrected and built this tomb. It is clear that he was transformed into a demon after being eroded by Diablo's magic. Otherwise, how could a human be resurrected without any conditions.

"Liya?" Archbishop Lazarus suddenly saw Leah floating above Lan Wu's head, and a look of astonishment appeared on his face covered with age spots. After a long pause, he suddenly became excited: "Liya, may the gods bless you and let your devout believers see the descendants of the hero family again."

Liya was also stunned by Archbishop Lazarus's actions. She stared blankly at the old ghost on the altar, who was obviously excited, with disbelief written all over her face.

Archbishop Lazarus was not transformed into a demon?

Although she didn't want to believe it was true, she buried Lazarus with her own hands at that time, but the facts before her told her that Lazarus was indeed dead and turned into a ghost like herself. Demons have always had almost eternal life. Usually there are only demons who died in battle, not demons who died of old age.

But how to explain this tomb? In addition to Archbishop Lazarus, who else knows the secret method of the Zakarum Church to create tomb guards and stitched corpses? Even if we take a step back, this place has long been sealed by her and Cain and other descendants of the Horadrim clan, and it is impossible for anyone to find this place.

Lan Wu looked at Archbishop Lazarus, who was so excited that he could hardly control himself on the altar, and then looked up at Leah, who looked incredulous, and he felt terrible.

What now? Wait and see or try to test this old ghost first?

Lan Wu was tangled. It was not known whether Archbishop Lazarus was an enemy or a friend, and it was obviously unreasonable to test him rashly. What if he really was not transformed into a demon? It would be embarrassing to kill him accidentally.

"Archbishop, you didn't turn into a demon?" Leah floated in front of the altar.

"The power of the demon cannot erode my firm faith." Archbishop Lazarus kindly stretched out his hand, as if he wanted to touch Leah's hair. But somehow, the magic circle on the altar seemed to limit his ability to move. He stopped halfway.

"What about this tomb? Did you build it?" Leah asked anxiously, unconsciously floating forward a little.

"Yes, I built this place myself." Archbishop Lazarus retracted his hands, folded his hands and looked around, with a look of nostalgia, even with a little pride and complacency.

"But I buried you with my own hands at that time." Leah covered her mouth in disbelief, and inadvertently got closer.

"Because of the magic of the demon god Diablo." Archbishop Lazarus retracted his gaze, fixed it on Leah's face again, and sighed: "When I was killed by the devil, Diablo's magic still remained in my body. It has always wanted to control me, but underestimated my firm belief. Until the moment of my death, I was proud that I was not eroded by its power. But because of its magic, I was resurrected again soon after. But when I opened my eyes, I found that it was pitch black all around. Unbelievable, I was buried."

"Then you built this tomb?" Leah was shocked, with a little more admiration in her eyes.

This tomb is a huge project. Even for the once prosperous Zakarum Church, it would take at least 10,000 people three years to build such a tomb. But Archbishop Lazarus actually accomplished a feat that would take 10,000 people three years to complete alone. He is indeed a servant of the gods, and his strength is too strong.

"The power of the demon god has given me a longer life than humans. If I don't find something to do for myself, I'm afraid I won't be able to live so many more years in this sealed land." Archbishop Lazarus looked at Leah kindly, as kind as if he saw his little granddaughter.

"It's nice to see you again, Archbishop Lazarus." Leah raised her hand to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and suddenly floated back to Lan Wu's head.

Archbishop Lazarus's expression changed slightly, and then returned to normal. He looked at Leah and Lan Wu kindly and smiled: "Who is this spirited young man?"

"God's Grace Lan Wu." Lan Wu smiled faintly, raised his hand and fired a magic missile. Leah's actions had already told him what to do.

"God's Grace? You are actually a God's Grace!" Archbishop Lazarus heard Lan Wu introduce himself, and suddenly his face became ferocious as if his tail was stepped on. With a light snap, the magic missile was blocked by the magic circle, without any effect.

"It's nice to see you again." Leah slowly closed her eyes and sighed as if talking to herself: "Although I know that you have been transformed into a demon by Diablo's magic, I am satisfied to see your previous kind and gentle smile."

"No, this is impossible. You can't realize that I have been transformed into a demon!" Archbishop...or should I say the demon Lazarus roared like crazy. The magic circle under his feet suddenly became brighter, illuminating the tomb like daylight.

"Hurry up and kill it. That magic circle is absorbing our magic power." Leah ignored Lazarus's roar and looked down at Lan Wu below.

Lan Wu smiled faintly and raised his hand to point forward. The secret black hole suddenly appeared less than two meters in front of Lazarus.
