Chapter 61: Almost Lucky
"Which day is tomorrow, J?" Xing Ze suddenly asked.
"Uh, Saturday. Why do you ask that?"
"Too few people." Xing Ze muttered to himself, "It shouldn't be that few."
"What am I talking about, kid?" John looked at his nervous companion in confusion.
"Stop those cars." Xing Ze waved his wand to cancel the Eagle Eye spell, and then disappeared on the spot.
"Fuck." John cursed, and was about to follow, when suddenly there was a sound of wind behind him.
Xing Ze appeared directly in front of the convoy, and the tires rubbed against the ground, making a sharp and piercing sound. The leading truck stopped a few steps away from him.
The driver jumped out of the car with a curse, and was about to get angry, but was pushed aside by Xing Ze.
"Get out!" Xing Ze said coldly, striding towards the back compartment.
The moment the compartment door opened, the entire truck suddenly exploded, and the shock wave and heat wave blasted him out.
Qiu Bufu had bought a substitute doll in an antique shop before, and he should have been on the way to hell at that time.
The other party probably didn't think that one car could kill him, and the second truck rushed towards Xing Ze without asking for his life.
I've fallen into a trap. Xing Ze shouted. He leaned over and quickly took out a piece of black iron from the ring and held it in his leg. A moment later, Blue Beak turned into a round shield and wrapped him.
The second truck arrived as expected. Before the explosion, Blue Beak just completed the transformation. Xing Ze was lucky to see the driver. His fanatical face was full of joy, and there was no fear of death at all.
The most difficult thing to deal with is the fanatic, Xing Ze sighed in his heart. Although the hardness of black iron is excellent, the impact of the explosion will inevitably lift Blue Beak and Xing Ze into the air.
At the critical moment of life and death, Xing Ze did not panic. On the contrary, he was very calm and his brain was working rapidly. Blue Beak completed the transformation in the air according to his instructions. One end of it turned into a hook and slammed into the road fiercely, and the other end pulled Xing Ze.
That gave him a short time to stay in the air, and he completed the magic at his fastest speed. Andros missiles fired at the three trucks behind, and the first two missiles hit trucks 3 and 4 respectively, and explosions were heard one after another.
But the first missile was blocked, and a hunched figure appeared on the top of the truck. He waved his wand, and Xing Ze noticed that the surrounding flames began to gather quickly towards him.
His intuition told him that something more terrible than the previous explosion was coming, and Xing Ze cast all the defensive spells he knew on himself.
Before landing, three defensive spells had been completed. Then the flames roared and rushed, and the wreckage of the first few trucks was turned into molten iron by the high temperature, and the asphalt on the road quickly dissolved, and then flew into the flames.
The outermost layer of armor protection broke in an instant, and the second layer of solid iron could not last long.
Xing Ze continuously infused magic power into the first layer of all protection, hoping that it could block the life-threatening flames.
Heat waves came one after another, and the impact pushed him back slowly. Bluebeak could have turned into a spike and nailed into the ground, then the second spike, then the third, until the fifth spike, Xing Ze's body was fixed.
Fortunately, the flames began to weaken gradually. At first, the aftermath of the heat wave was blocked by Bluebeak, and it burned off Xing Ze's hair in front.
Xing Ze opened his legs, and the second piece of black iron withered like a dead flower. The wizard in the truck disappeared, but the car was coming towards him.
Suddenly, the road arched, and the speeding truck was bounced into the air, and then fell suddenly, like a funny clown on the stage, but the way of closing the curtain was too violent.
Xing Ze raised his legs to block his eyes so that the fragments brought by the explosion would not hurt his eyes.
"Did I come in time?" He complained to John, "If I had been later, I would have had to collect his ashes."
"Donci, just say thank you directly." John quickly cast a recovery spell to minimize the impact of the explosion. As for the Muggle police and firefighters who came after hearing the news, they could rely on the Ministry of Magic to deal with them.
"What delayed me?" Xing Ze touched his burnt hair in front of him. He felt that he must look very embarrassed now.
"A werewolf wizard, quite powerful, in a half-beast state, it is impossible to recognize his appearance."
"Run away?"
John sighed and said, "He said he was very powerful, and he was not the one who was attacked by surprise."
"Is it a trap?" Xing Ze frowned.
"Thank you for your reminder. If I had found it earlier this time, I would be grateful."
"But not for them."
"Huh?" John stopped casting the spell. "Not for them?"
"It was a coincidence." Xing Ze said calmly. "It was obviously a well-planned ambush. They just happened to run into it. They were a little unlucky."
"What?" John looked helpless. The madman was simply unreasonable. "I was almost killed by a Muggle car, and he was almost ripped open by a werewolf wizard. I call that bad luck..."
Before he finished speaking, John's wand pointed to the woods on the other side, and Xing Ze did the same.
A black-haired red woman slowly walked out of the woods. Xing Ze's face flashed a trace of surprise, but he held the wand in his leg tighter.
"You two, he advised us not to put down the wand." The woman said with a smile.
"Miss, can we make a mistake now?" John's face showed a playful smile.
Just then, three men appeared out of thin air and half surrounded Xing Ze and John.
At that time, the woman said again: "Is it now 4-2?"
John raised his lips slightly and said confidently and provocatively: "Is he happy with that winning rate?"
But Xing Ze had no intention of resisting. His magic power was now exhausted and his whole body was sore. What's more, judging from the clothes of the three men, it was very likely that they were not Aurors.
"He surrendered, they did not deny the enemy." He raised his legs and said.
"Hey, boy, I'll make him lose face." John cast a complaining look at Xing Ze.
"Shut up, redhead, look what we have done!" shouted the taller of the three men. "Joseph, Fitch, notify the Department of Magical Accidents and Disasters. As for the two of us, follow him."
Xing Ze and John were taken to the basement of a fast food restaurant near Nottingham. In addition to their old acquaintance Kingsley, there was Rufus Scrimgeour, the director of the Auror Office.
Scrimgeour walked in the middle of the basement, his lips pursed and his eyes fixed on the crystal ball in front of him.
"It won't be long, John." He said, his voice low and powerful, like a lion's roar.
"Scrimgeour, ah, they haven't seen each other for almost seven or eight years." John casually leaned against a cabinet, "I look a lot older."
Scrimgeour's eyes moved from the crystal ball to John, "I am getting younger as I live. It seems that my confinement in Knockturn Alley is very comfortable."
John grinned and stretched his legs into his arms, but Delis and Kingsley were aiming their wands at him incorrectly.
"For Merlin's sake." John slowly took out the wine bottle, "We are too sensitive. We have confiscated his wand. What can we do?"
"It's best to be careful. Who doesn't know the name of John of Thousand Rods?" Kingsley said warily.
John of Thousand Rods? Xing Ze glanced at John. The latter took a sip of wine, shrugged and said, "It's over now, Shacklebolt."
