Chapter 204 Meeting
"Then I wish you good luck." John said after hearing Sheikh's idea, "I hope you don't include me and my companions in your plan."
Sheikh showed a meaningful smile, "This is an internal matter of the Mendes family."
John agreed with this, "Yes, family affairs should be resolved internally. Where are we going next?"
Sheikh stopped in front of the residential fence and said through the gap in the fence: "Do you see the laundry across the street? We are going there."
"I thought we were going to school."
"There is a secret passage in the basement there. But before that we need to cross the street."
John also looked outside through the gap in the fence. There were several fully armed Muggles there, which was not a problem, but there were four wizards not far from the group, which was a problem.
"What is your plan?" John asked Sheikh.
"No plan, four against two, plus a few insignificant Muggles, it's easy."
John took out the hip flask and took a big sip, "I want the one wearing a hat and the one wearing a jacket."
"Very good, the rest is mine."
...
Reco walked out of the basement of the laundry, where at least twenty people were hiding. The basement, which was not too big, was almost full, and the hot air made him breathless.
So, he came up to get some fresh air. Old Batty's injury was not optimistic. Although those people gave up the only table below for him to sleep on, everyone knew that if he didn't get effective treatment, he would definitely not survive.
Thinking of this, Reco felt depressed. That person was his responsibility. He should send Old Batty to the hospital instead of waiting to die in this cramped basement.
"Want one?" Manager Ronan handed him a cigarette.
The poet took it and lit it, taking a deep breath, "I'll take him to the hospital, or I'll go find a healer outside."
"Wait a little longer, sir." The store manager sat next to the poet, "Wait a little longer."
"Wait for what?"
"If we're lucky, we might all be saved."
Reko was a little confused, "You talk like those old wizards, talking nonsense."
Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from outside. Reko quickly put out the cigarette, jumped off the ironing table, and walked towards the front desk with a half-crouched body.
The store manager followed him and whispered, "Hey, don't get too close, they will find us."
"I know." The poet replied, and stood up a little and walked along the wall, and came to the window.
He reached out and pressed a piece of the blinds, carefully looked out, and the first thing he saw was a few magic.
But with a scream, he saw a wizard flying by. Then there were several explosions, and then painful wails.
Just when he was confused, a familiar figure flashed before his eyes.
"John?" He muttered, wanting to confirm again, but the door of the laundry shop rang.
Ronan squatted down, frowned and looked at Lei Ke, probably asking him what was going on.
"Open the door, store manager, it's an acquaintance." Lei Ke's face was full of smiles. If John appeared here, it meant that the reinforcements from the Ministry of Magic had arrived.
The store manager stood up, but was still a little hesitant, but a hoarse voice came from behind the door.
"It's me, Ronan, open the door."
This voice was like "Open Sesame", Ronan was overjoyed and immediately went to open the door.
"For Merlin's sake, it's really you, John." Lei Ke shouted.
"Reco?" John was also surprised. "So, the others are here too?"
The poet shook his head. "I got separated from them. We agreed to meet at the town hospital, but as you can see, old Barty and I are trapped. Oh, he needs treatment urgently."
Hearing this, John didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed. He pondered for a while and said, "Okay, I'll send a signal to let the people from the Ministry of Magic come here."
"Signal? What signal?" Ronan asked excitedly, "Don't do that, sir. I still have more than 20 people hiding here, and your signal will also attract those lunatics."
"Wait until we get to the school before sending a signal, John. There is no manpower here for defense. Once those lunatics on the street come towards us, we're done." Sheikh added.
"Damn it, you heard it too. Sheikh, old Barty needs treatment, and I don't want him to die here."
Barty Crouch is a good card in their hands. As long as he can get out alive, the entire Department of Magical Law Enforcement will owe the Round Table a huge favor.
Although he has no real power in the Law Enforcement Department, those Aurors who worship him and his loyal subordinates will be invaluable connections.
Of course, the premise is that he can survive. And what can a corpse get in exchange for? Just a hero-like funeral, not any benefits.
"I know, but there are healers at the school." Sheikh said, "Think about it, John, do you really want to wait here for the Ministry of Magic to rescue? If you ask me, when they come here, they can only collect the body of old Barty."
"It sounds like a good idea." Lei Ke agreed with the plan, "Since you can take us to the school, why don't you take us to the town hospital? Your name is, um-Sheikh?
"I seem to have heard of this name somewhere, Sheikh? Sheikh Mendes?"
Sheikh nodded and said in a hoarse voice: "Reko Yarbin. I have seen you several times at the dance. You can always turn those sweet ballads into something unbearable and inappropriate for children. This is also a kind of talent, isn't it?"
"Ah, I knew you were not dead. I even composed a ballad for this." Reko seemed very excited.
John waved his hand and interrupted the conversation between the two. "Okay, okay, let's talk about the past later. There is another person in urgent need of treatment."
A few minutes later, Sheikh came to the basement. He looked at the old Batty lying on the table, and then looked at the people around him.
Ronan, who was standing beside him, whispered, "I can only save so many, Mr. Sheikh."
"You've done well, Ronan, let's go together. Your store is no longer safe. The wizards and Muggles who died outside will attract more lunatics."
After hearing this, Ronan turned his head to look at his store, and then responded, "Okay, sir. I hope my store can survive."
John cast a levitation spell on old Batty, who seemed to have fainted. If it weren't for the shallow breathing, he would have thought it was a corpse.
The underground passage was not spacious and could barely allow one person to pass through. They walked a long way below before reaching the vicinity of the school.
The dazzling sunlight made John squint his eyes, and Reco followed him out of the passage.
"Look." The poet looked into the distance and whispered, "The pride of Ravenscar Village-the Tower of Completion."
