Chapter 3 Rescued
The one who rushed past him should be a knight. The knight only left Chi Nan with his back, and he seemed to be emitting a faint light. He rode forward with extraordinary momentum.
The knight's sword, as big as a door panel, swept out, and the huge monster that ordinary soldiers could hardly fight was cut into two pieces at once, and two monsters were killed at the same time. The appearance of this knight was like the dawn of light on the battlefield.
Chi Nan didn't know what kind of feeling he had in his heart. His eyes went black, and then he knew nothing.
After an unknown amount of time, Chi Nan gradually regained consciousness. Recalling what happened before, Chi Nan smiled bitterly. "I didn't expect my daydreaming skills to be so high. It was too real before." Chi Nan closed his eyes and didn't want to open them. He was worried that once he opened his eyes, he would find that he was not dreaming.
Because the pain in his body reminded Chi Nan that what happened before might be true.
But soon Chi Nan had to open his eyes, because the familiar strange accent sounded in his ears. He didn't understand it, but he knew that someone was by his side. Listening to this voice, it should be a female voice.
Chi Nan opened his eyes helplessly and found disappointed that everything around him was not the place he was familiar with. He tried to stand up, but for some reason, he felt as if his body was falling apart. "Hehe, this is caused by being thrown out before. I don't know what happened to that person later." Chi Nan smiled bitterly.
The first person who saved him died, and he didn't see the second one, and he didn't even see what the soldier's face looked like. The people who died before were vivid one by one. Chi Nan, who was in peacetime, had never seen these.
Looking around, Chi Nan found that he should be in a special tent now. The internal space is large, but there is only one bed in the middle. That is where he is lying now.
The bed is very simple, with only a shabby quilt underneath, and something like cotton inside.
A messy sound suddenly sounded outside the tent. Chi Nan looked up and found that a handsome young man strode in. Behind him, there was a middle-aged man who was well-dressed and had a neatly trimmed beard. Unlike the young man's golden hair, the middle-aged man's hair and beard are brown, and his eyes are as sharp as an eagle.
The last person to come in was a woman. A wide armor wrapped her body tightly, making it difficult to tell whether she was good or bad. The face she showed was not very delicate, but full of strength and stubbornness.
Several people kept saying something to him and pointing at him.
Chi Nan had no choice but to point to his ears and spread his hands: "Sorry, I don't understand what you said." As soon as Chi Nan opened his mouth, several people were stunned. They looked at each other and stared at Chi Nan.
These people, wouldn't they want to kill him? Chi Nan was full of vigilance and fear. Facing death, no one can be fearless. I used to feel that I was very brave, but I didn't realize that the real me was like this until today.
Several people kept arguing about something, and Chi Nan wanted to run away now. But he had no strength in his body, and where could he run to? In the end, he could only watch here.
After arguing for a long time, the man suddenly took out an exquisite scroll. He opened the scroll and pointed it at himself. There were many strange patterns on the scroll. It looked like some kind of ancient hieroglyphics, and some like some kind of pictures. For some reason, Chi Nan seemed to be able to see the pain in the young man's eyes.
The young man muttered something in his mouth, and finally pressed the handkerchief-like thing on his head. The young man's speed was too fast, and it was too late for Chi Nan to dodge.
The scroll was pressed on his head, and the mysterious white light emanated softly. At this moment, Chi Nan felt that there seemed to be something more in his mind, and he seemed to understand a lot of things.
"Who are you? You used up a treasured scroll of wisdom from me. If you can't prove your worth, I, Kelladi, will never let you go." The young man yelled at Chi Nan with an annoyed look.
"I am, eh? I can actually understand what you are saying." Chi Nan suddenly found that he could not only understand what the other person said, but also pronounced the same words as the other person. What's going on? Is there magic in this world? After a test, Chi Nan found that he could also say his original pronunciation.
"Don't be so rude, sir. I am Kaian, the deputy commander of the Third Legion of Remas. This guy is called Kailadi, acting as the commander of the legion. This bearded man is our military advisor Soka. We belong to the Rusya Empire. Are you a mage? We saw you perform natural magic on the battlefield before."
Chi Nan lowered his head in silence. It turned out that the tree roots that felt familiar before were summoned by himself. They rescued him because they discovered the "fact" that he could do magic.
You know, at the beginning, they were worried that he was a threat, and they attacked him without hesitation. That arrow was not fake. If it weren't for his good luck, he would have been killed at the beginning.
"Don't be afraid, sir. We will be safe when we reach our Third Legion. We hope that you can use your magic to help us resist the wild orcs who invaded Remas. You should be a half-elf, right? There are many half-elves in our Rusya Empire." Kaian was trying hard to persuade Chi Nan.
"I have said it before. With that level of magic, this kid is at best a magic apprentice. I don't know why he came to us. I have to waste a precious scroll of wisdom."
"Shut up, Keladi. Although you are the legion commander now, you are just an acting one. I know what I am doing. Don't forget that there are still many people who are not convinced by you. We can't give up every bit of power that can help us."
As soon as Kaian opened his mouth, Kaeladi exhaled, punched the air hard, and turned to leave the tent.
"You must be tired. You should rest first. I will ask someone to prepare food and water for you. We will talk about other things after you have rested." Kaian comforted Chi Nan and turned to leave the tent. Sokka did not say a word from beginning to end. He followed in silently and then followed out silently. The figure at the door of the tent must be a guard.
