Chapter 396 The Road to Becoming a Demon (Part 2)
Ao Xing left Qiongyuhai directly without telling his parents and went to the Lunhuan Dao Diocese.
Not only that, he also made a choice.
That is to use the power of Buddha relics to seal one's own memory.
The relics purified his memory and also washed away the evil spirit from his body.
Ao Xing transformed into an old monk.
There was nothing in his mind, except that he was in an empty temple when he woke up.
All that was left of him was a tattered wooden plaque with the words "Hui Zhi" engraved on it.
And a relic the size of a finger hanging on the chest.
Losing memory, losing strength, unable to see the past clearly, and unable to find the future.
With a name like "Hui Zhi" whose origin is unclear, he wears a relic whose origin is unclear.
The rest is nothing.
The ignorant "Hui Zhi" asked everyone in the temple.
All the monks told him that he was born to be a handyman monk in this temple.
It was only because he was hit on the head by a heavy object while doing chores that he lost his memory.
His name "Hui Zhi" was given to him by the temple.
After all, he looks very old on the outside.
However, he did not understand the true meaning of the Buddhist scriptures at all, so a great master in the temple gave him this title.
It means that he has no wisdom and cannot understand the Buddhist scriptures at all.
It sounded good, but it was meant to humiliate him.
Huizhi was ignorant and lived in this temple.
Day after day, he kept doing chores.
Almost all the dirty work in the temple is left to him.
Until one day three years later, a child who was no more than five years old entered the temple.
The reason why this child became a monk is simple.
The family was poor and could no longer afford to raise an extra child.
Therefore, the last resort was not to send him to become a monk.
This family did not donate money for incense, which meant that no monk had any reason to accept him as a disciple.
Moreover, this child is still young, and no one can take care of such a child.
According to the rules of the temple, if you are not brought in by your master, but you want to formally learn martial arts or Buddhism.
It means that you need to do chores in the temple for three years first, and then you can have the opportunity after passing the assessment of the supervisor.
This child has entered the temple for the first time now, even though he is still young.
But he still needed to work as a handyman for several years, so the temple handed it over directly to Huizhi and asked him to take the boy to chop wood and work.
Hui Zhi saw that this boy was not crying like other children who had just become a monk.
Instead, he calmed down, looked around, and then asked his name.
But this boy only has a nickname and no official name.
Hui Zhi thought about it and saw that this child's heart was pure and clean.
I couldn't help but think of the Buddhist scriptures I had read. There was a sentence in it, which said that the bodhi tree is ethereal and uncontaminated.
This boy is the same, pure and flawless.
According to the "Bodhi tree" in Sanskrit, Huizhi named the boy "Bibala".
In Sanskrit, it also means bodhi tree.
Bipala was very intelligent, and Huizhi simply taught him Chinese characters and Sanskrit, and he mastered them easily.
Not only that, Bibolo’s wisdom roots are extremely deep.
As a result, when he was very young, he read hundreds of scriptures and was able to memorize them and explain them.
The monks in the temple all looked up to such a boy with admiration.
When he was ten years old, it was determined that Bi Boluo had the talent to practice Taoism.
Because of his understanding, he was accepted as a closed disciple by the abbot of the temple.
Bi Boluo prayed sincerely to the abbot, and the abbot brought Huizhi, a marginalized figure, to the inner courtyard of the temple.
He was still asked to take care of Bi Boluo's food, clothing, housing and transportation.
Huizhi was already very old at that time, and his beard and hair looked white, and he didn't even have many teeth.
But Bibolo knew.
I am where I am today entirely because of Hui Zhi’s teachings.
Hui Zhi also felt that Bi Bo Luo was worthy of this name.
Even though he is getting older, his mind is still like that of a child, pure and untainted.
When Bi Boluo first started practicing Buddhism, he showed great talent.
This temple originally belonged to the Lun Zhuan Dao, and the great elder in the temple was the incense master under the Lun Zhuan Dao.
Recommended by the great elder, Bi Boluo attracted the attention of the Red Dragon Dharma King when he was twelve years old.
He was recognized as one of the Buddhist disciples preparing for the reincarnation path.
Since then, Biboluo has been more favored by resources.
His cultivation level was almost one level per day. When he was nearly eighteen years old, he had already experienced the ninth level of thunder tribulation and was ready to start condensing his Dharma body.
Huizhi, on the other hand, not only took care of Bi Bo Luo's daily clothing, food and daily life, but also cleaned the Sutra Pavilion.
One day, Hui Zhi accidentally picked up a small book covered with dust while walking in the Sutra Pavilion.
The contents of this small book are all written in ancient Sanskrit.
As a result, no one in the temple could recognize what was written on it.
But it happened that Hui Zhi, who had lost his memory, recognized the words on it.
On it, there is recorded a dharma for entering the Tao called "Bodhicitta Awakening".
When Xie Que saw this, almost all of its content would be known to the Poseidon couple later on, and they told Wan Sheng, the Old Dragon King.
Therefore, in this memory, there is no appearance of Bi Boluo.
But based on these clues.
Xie Que couldn't help but be surprised.
This Bi Bo Luo...could he be the "Bu Bo Buddha" in the future.
Coupled with the "Bodhicitta Certificate" that now appeared in front of Xie Que's eyes, Xie Que even more confirmed his conjecture.
He continued to read.
Although Huizhi is old, this is only reflected in his physical decline and appearance.
His mind is still smart.
It only took him half a stick of incense to thoroughly memorize the contents of the Bodhicitta Enlightenment.
And anchored, this must be an extremely extraordinary practice method.
He returned to his residence and recited the contents of this book to Bi Boluo.
Bi Boluo's ability to understand is also extraordinary.
Even after hearing this, I realized that this was a very powerful way to enter the Tao.
It's just that his cultivation has now reached the ninth realm of thunder tribulation.
If you want to practice this method, you can only abolish your practice and practice again.
Bi Bo Luo was a little hesitant, but he kept asking Hui Zhi for advice, and there were some contents on the Bodhicitta Ceremony that he did not quite understand.
Hui Zhi also explained it one by one.
This also made Bi Boluo determined to rebuild the four realms.
He abolished his own cultivation and achieved enlightenment with bodhicitta in three days.
The host was furious when he learned about this and blamed Huizhi for all the problems.
It turned out that Bi Boluo was about to condense his Dharma body and become the true king of Yangshen.
But now being interfered with by Hui Zhi, Bi Bo Luo's cultivation progress has fallen behind by more than half.
The abbot didn't care what method Bi Boluo practiced, so he directly expelled Huizhi from the temple.
Let him wander outside, and say to him: "If Bibhara cannot become a Buddha in the future, he is a demon who has disturbed the Buddha's heart."
"Devil?" When Huizhi heard this, he couldn't help but think about it.
These words seemed to touch Huizhi's heart, making it seem as if something was about to burst out of his heart.
But more than anything, it made him feel confused.
He couldn't help but think of something.
If I really have no wisdom, how come I am able to understand ancient Sanskrit that other monks do not understand.
Why can any Buddhist scriptures be easily picked up at your fingertips?
At this moment, he suddenly figured it out.
Maybe I am not an ordinary person without any wisdom.
But I have tried many times to practice Buddhism, but I can't practice it at all.
Even though Bi Boluo taught him step by step, he couldn't absorb a trace of spiritual energy.
Not only that, but even the simplest meditation cannot be achieved by myself.
In this sense, I may really have no wisdom at all.
But what if I say, is it possible that I will become a "devil"?
The demons that Hui Zhi thinks about are the "inner demons" described in the scriptures.
Even Buddha has inner demons.
Maybe he is Bi Boluo's inner demon.
Hui Zhi couldn't help but remember that before she left, Bi Boluo shed tears in front of her for the first time.
He couldn't help but go to another temple here called "Sealing Demon".
According to rumors, the monks in this temple like to slay demons the most.
He walked for several months, surviving on the food he got from alms.
When Huizhi finally reached the door of Fengmo Temple, he was stopped by two monks holding water and fire sticks at the door.
The monk asked: "Who are you?"
Huizhi was a little confused and just replied: "I have been a monk all my life, but some people say I am a devil."
A monk smiled and shook his head: "Old man, if you are a demon, how can you be a monk?"
Hui Zhi replied: "I have disturbed other people's Buddhist hearts, and the abbot of Yuanhai Temple said that I am a devil."
When another monk heard that this statement was made by the abbot of Yuanhai Temple, he looked cautious and said: "You are a monk, but how can you do such a thing of inner demons?"
Huizhi sighed: "So I am a monk and also a monster."
"But I am alone, why do I have two identities?"
A monk then asked: "What is the name of my father-in-law?"
Hui Zhi replied: "Hui Zhi."
The other monk was a little impatient.
He saw that the old monk in front of him had no cultivation skills. He was already old, and he might have come here sincerely to cause trouble.
He couldn't help but feel bored and said: "There is no Buddha or demon in the word Hui Zhi. You are just an ordinary person, so just go down the mountain quickly."
Huizhi just said: "There is no self among Buddhas, there is no self among demons, there is no self. What you are saying is in vain."
The monk just sneered: "Don't talk so much nonsense. If you don't go down the mountain, don't let the little monk be merciless."
The other monk frowned, he was very dissatisfied with his junior brother's attitude.
With a look at the junior brother on the side, the monk patiently said to Hui Zhi: "Old man, just go down the mountain, don't waste our time."
Huizhi shook his head: "Wengui Temple is very capable of recognizing demons. I just want to know, what am I?"
The impatient monk struck the ground with his stick: "You want to know, do we have to answer it?"
Huizhi sighed and couldn't help but say: "It seems that your temple is just in vain."
When the monk heard this, he suddenly became angry and struck him with a stick without any explanation.
The monk next to him stopped the junior brother because he was afraid of causing trouble.
At this moment, the senior monk in the temple heard the noise and couldn't help but look at it.
This great monk is a five-level spiritual general and the chief demon-conqueror in the temple.
Moreover, he worshiped the World Honored One and learned a method to specifically identify inner demons.
Therefore, it is also particularly sensitive to evil spirits.
He narrowed his eyes and looked at the old man in front of him.
Somehow, he felt a trace of devilish energy in the old man in front of him.
This demonic energy is nothing but "inner demon".
Anyone with strong five aggregates will have inner demons.
Even he has it.
But in a mortal body, if the inner demons in the body reach the point where outsiders can detect it, that means the obsession has become deep.
If such a person dies, his resentment will turn into a vicious ghost.
The monk knew this very well, so he couldn't help but stop the monk holding the stick.
He asked Huizhi: "Old man, what is your name?"
Huizhi replied again: "Huizhi."
The monk asked again: "Old man, what is your name?"
Huizhi couldn't help but be stunned: "What?"
The monk couldn't help but sigh: "I really don't have the root of wisdom."
But he asked again: "Old man, what is your name?"
Huizhi said: "It doesn't matter what my name is, I just want to know who I am."
The monk nodded: "I still have some wisdom."
"Whether wisdom ends, wisdom begins, wisdom stops, the name is the name, you are you."
Hui Zhi was thoughtful and couldn't help but nodded: "I've been taught."
The monk added: "You ask the Buddha, you ask the Buddha, the Buddha is the Buddha, and you are you."
"Only by asking yourself and your heart can you get the answer."
"The Buddha is on the left and the devil is on the right. Where are you going?"
Huizhi said without hesitation, "I'll go in the middle."
The monk nodded: "It seems that you and my Buddha are destined."
Huizhi couldn't help but frown: "Where is the Buddha?"
The monk smiled and said: "If you have a Buddha in your heart, there will be a Buddha wherever you go."
"Now that I have warned you, I am also your Buddha."
"There is no Buddha in my heart, and there is no Buddha anywhere."
"I disturb your heart, and I am your inner demon."
Huizhi nodded and went down the mountain.
The monk behind him sighed and said to the two monks on the side: "If this old man is not too old and has no way of cultivating Taoism, he can be admitted to the temple."
"With his understanding, I'm afraid he can reach the top of the Supreme Master."
The monk next to him didn't believe it.
But the great monk just shook his head: "The five aggregates are so powerful that they are incomparable to ordinary people."
"As long as you practice it, your soul will be able to make great strides with each passing day."
…
After going down the mountain, Hui Zhi was no longer at a loss.
Instead, he returned to the foot of the mountain where Wanhai Temple was originally located.
Bi Boluo also knew the news and was not in a hurry.
Now that his cultivation is getting deeper and deeper, it only takes one word to get Hui Zhi back.
But he knew that Huizhi was bullied in this temple.
I plan to take him directly to the Buddhist kingdom of the Samurai Path, which is the city of Maha.
Three more years later, Bi Boluo finally obtained the Bodhicitta and cultivated the Bodhi Golden Body, and entered the realm of the Half-Step Yang Shen True Monarch.
Due to the concentration of spiritual energy in the temple, it is far from being able to provide the level required to condense the dharma body of True Monarch Yiyang Shen.
Bi Boluo planned to head to Maha City first to speed up the condensation of his thoughts.
He took Hui Zhi with him.
At this time, Huizhi was making a living at the foot of the mountain by helping poor people recite sutras and deliver salvation to the dead.
His life was extremely difficult.
Facing Bi Boluo's invitation, Huizhi actually refused.
He just smiled and said to Bi Boluo: "I will see you again in Maha City one day." (End of this chapter)
