Hogwarts Blood Wizard

Chapter 636 Crouch Returns Early

Just as Ivan was thinking about it in his mind, Moody's progress suddenly stopped, causing him to almost hit the wall.

Ivan raised his head angrily and wanted to ask, only to realize that Barty Crouch's office was in front of him. They had already arrived!

"Hold your wand, Hals!" Moody said in a low voice as he put his hand on the doorknob.

Ivan nodded, already prepared before Moody reminded him.

"Alohomora ~ (Alohomora opens)" Moody waved his wand, and with a crisp sound, the door lock automatically unlocked.

Moody opened the door carefully, looking nervous as if someone would pounce on him at any moment.

But things were obviously not that bad. Just like Moody said, there was no one inside. It seemed that the information was correct, and Crouch did go to discuss the competition with Bagman.

Ivan didn't go in immediately, so he glanced outside.

This temporary office is not very spacious, only half the size of a classroom. The floor is covered with a warm red carpet, and the flame in the fireplace has not been extinguished. This proves that Crouch has just left not long ago.

Moody's eyes immediately focused on the surrounding walls. When he saw that there were no portraits hanging on them, he breathed a sigh of relief, and then walked in with his cane.

But before that, Moody did not forget to cast a silent spell on his wooden legs, which could make the sound of his steps quieter.

Ivan followed in and immediately walked to the work table in the center.

There are some documents scattered on the table. The quill pen and ink bottle were pushed to the corner of the table. In addition, there is a copy of the Daily Prophet placed in a conspicuous place!

Ivan did not reach out directly to take it, but adjusted his position to stand in front so that he could see the specific contents of the newspaper clearly.

But when he saw the cover of the newspaper, he was stunned. This was not the latest issue of the Daily Prophet. He was pretty sure he had seen it before!

Because what was reported above was the Quidditch World Cup during the summer vacation. Sirius's big face was still printed on the photo. Below was the news about the Dark Mark and Death Eaters gathering to set fire to the camp.

Moody on the other side was flipping through the documents carefully, his brows furrowed from time to time, and he didn't make a sound for a long time.

The actions of the two also disturbed the little creatures here. A fox flew out from a gap in the corner of the wall, accompanied by several snuff box-like creatures.

Naturally, all of this could not escape Moody's constantly turning evil eyes. He stepped on the soles of them as soon as he raised his feet, and then grabbed one of the little guys who was not dead with his hands.

"Hey~ It looks like there is a serious lack of maintenance here, otherwise they would not dare to be so rampant." Moody looked around and noticed that there was dust on the chairs leaning against the corners.

"Don't forget, you told me that Crouch has often been away from school in the past few months!" Ivan reminded.

"Yes, but he has been back for several days this time! Crouch has not touched the documents that need to be signed on the table..." Moody continued solemnly. "Besides, he definitely doesn't want others to come in randomly! So those house elves can't help him tidy it up!"

Listening to Moody's words, Ivan fell into deep thought. He became more and more convinced that this Barty Crouch was Crouch Jr. in disguise.

After all, Crouch Jr. is not the real director of the Department of Communication and Cooperation, so he naturally cannot handle these documents. He may be away from Hogwarts to meet Voldemort.

"What kind of person do you think has no time to clean up his office? Even if it's just a move of his fingers to cast a cleaning spell?" Moody suddenly asked.

"A busy person? Like you? Or someone who is in a particularly bad mood?" Ivan looked at the Daily Prophet and was distracted thinking about things, and answered casually.

"It's all possible!" Moody nodded, then noticed that Ivan seemed to be thinking about something else, and said dissatisfiedly. "Well, forget about Miss Granger, Hals, we need to work now!"

Ivan glared at Moody fiercely and lazily explained, instead pointing to the document in Moody's hand. "Won't Mr. Crouch find out when you go through his things like this?"

"Do you think he still has that intention?" Moody glanced at Ivan and turned the document in his hand over to show him.

It was a document from a few months ago, and it was a motion. As the director of the department, Crouch was supposed to sign his name at the end and write agreement or objection, but there was not a word at the end, and it had even passed. Deadline stated on the motion.

Ivan understood what Moody meant, which meant that Crouch had probably never read this document, or that he had read it and then thrown it aside.

"What if he just wants us to think so?" Ivan still retorted. He would not underestimate the counter-reconnaissance capabilities of a former director of the Executive Department.

If the other party is fake, then it is even more worthy of vigilance. An undercover agent who sneaks into the castle alone will be more cautious than anyone else!

"You are careful enough!" Moody smiled and looked at Ivan with admiration in his eyes.

"Then don't forget to remember the location of these things later. If you don't find any important information this time, you have to put them back..."

Moody was about to continue talking, but his expression suddenly changed. His strange blue eye turned straight to the door, and his mouth opened and closed as if to say——

He's back early!

Ivan's expression changed, and he suddenly became a little nervous. He was 99% sure that there was something wrong with Crouch, but the problem was that they had not yet found enough evidence to correct each other, such as the bottle containing the polyjuice potion, or the It is something else that is enough to prove the identity of the other party.

He suddenly regretted that he was wary of Moody and did not expose the Marauder's Map, which prevented them from accurately grasping Crouch's specific whereabouts and was blocked in the room.

Now is obviously not the time to regret. Ivan used a method that only took a moment to think of. He tapped his body with the wand with his backhand, and his whole body seemed to be enveloped in a thin film, disappearing in place.

Moody on the other side used the Disillusionment Curse almost simultaneously, and this small room looked empty again.

Ivan also noticed that the documents on the table had been sorted out, as if an invisible hand was playing with them, and the dead fox on the ground was also stepped on by Moody.

The next second, the sound of turning the door lock came.

Ivan's mind was extremely tense. Even though they were in a state of invisibility, the effect of the Illusion Curse was not as powerful as the Deathly Hallows Invisibility Cloak, and some skilled wizards could easily see through it.

Not to mention that they are standing at the table now. If the other party wants to come over and sit down, they will definitely bump into each other...

(PS: Don’t make wild guesses. There is no Shura field, and there is no bloody Qiong Yao plot. They are not only in conflict because of this little misunderstanding. I remember that they gave foreshadowing and hints dozens of chapters ago. Look at you guys. I’m really tired of guessing, Angel really doesn’t want to spoil it…)
