Chapter 461 Sirius Regains Freedom
Although Ivan felt that he could explain it even if he was exposed, Mrs. Peter would definitely be driven crazy!
Ivan thought it would be better not to irritate the other person, lest she faint in class.
But there was one thing, I felt something strange, so I spoke out. "Your Majesty the Presiding Judge, I would like to ask why she could come in with a crutch, I mean a wand?"
"Because Mrs. Peter told us that she can't walk without this crutch!" the presiding judge replied with some helplessness.
Ivan curled his lips dissatisfied, why couldn't he see it? Obviously when this old witch wanted to hit Sirius with a cane, her legs and feet were very flexible!
While Ivan complained silently, Mrs. Peter held on to her last hope and asked to see Dumbledore's wand.
Needless to say, the final result was that there was no trace of the Forgetting Curse being used on either wand within four days.
The only hiccup in the process was that the Auror could not force the Elder Wand to reverse the spell, and Dumbledore had to do it himself.
"Your Excellency, Mr. Peter, I think Mrs. Peter has no other doubts. Now that the evidence is conclusive, can we pronounce the verdict?" After Dumbledore withdrew the Elder Wand, he raised his head and stared at the presiding judge on the stage.
The old witch on the side looked a little lost, muttering to herself, not knowing what she was talking about.
"Ah! It seems that's right." The presiding judge looked at the old witch with great disappointment. As a judge, he couldn't help too much, so he had to say.
"We heard the testimony of Mr. Hals very clearly just now, but in order to confirm Mr. Peter's guilt, we need to hear the testimony of other people! Mr. Hals, you can go back. Now please bring up the next witness. !”
After the presiding judge finished speaking, an Auror walked up to Ivan and motioned for him to follow him and leave.
Ivan was happy and relaxed when he saw that his own affairs were over. After nodding politely to everyone, he turned and left the closed trial room.
As soon as he stepped onto the threshold of the waiting hall, Harry and others who were sitting inside hurriedly came over to greet him, asking questions all over the place.
"Ivan, you're back! How are things going?"
“Did we win the case?”
Ivan didn't mean to hide anything, and casually briefly talked about what happened on the field. At the same time, he glanced at Ron's wand in an indifferent way, feeling very happy in his heart.
Three days ago, she used Ron's wand to cast the Oblivion Curse at the observatory, so of course Mrs. Peter couldn't find out no matter how hard she tried.
"Mr. Harry Potter, please come with me!" The Auror behind Ivan quickly interrupted everyone's conversation and said to Harry seriously.
"Me?" Harry pointed at himself. Although he had expected it, he was still a little nervous when he was actually going to play.
"Go, it's okay, Dumbledore and Sirius are both there!" Ivan comforted with a smile.
It seemed to him that after he made his statement, the outcome of the trial had been decided, so Harry and others were just going through the motions.
Hearing what Ivan said, Harry felt much relieved and followed the Auror to the interrogation room.
Ivan just sat in the waiting hall chatting with Ron and Hermione while waiting for the outcome of the trial.
While waiting for more than an hour, Ron and Hermione were called out one after another, and Harry returned to the waiting room after finishing his statement.
However, Harry's expression looked a little strange. He looked at Ivan and hesitated to speak, and finally couldn't help but asked.
"Ivan, what did you tell them in court before? I always feel that many people look at me strangely, and a strange lady even asked me if I wanted to move in with her!"
"It's nothing, I just talked a little about your life at your uncle's house, and they sympathized with your experience!" Ivan replied with a smile.
"That's all in the past!" Harry said nonchalantly. "Sirius and I have agreed that I will move to the Black family's mansion during this summer vacation!"
It's hard to say that Ivan opened his mouth to refute, because Dumbledore would never let Harry leave the Dursley's house.
But soon Ivan shut his mouth again. Anyway, Dumbledore will say that there is no need for him to be such a villain.
The two of them sat in the waiting hall for a long time.
Just when Ivan was a little impatient and started to complain that the trial process was too time-consuming, Hermione and Ron finally returned to the waiting hall under the leadership of the Aurors, and brought good news. The results of the trial had come out!
"Really? How are you now?" Harry stood up immediately and asked excitedly.
"Sirius was acquitted in court, while Peter Pettigrew was found guilty on more than 20 charges including murdering thirteen Muggles, exposing the existence of the wizarding world, and war crimes." Hermione repeated what the presiding judge said.
"That's great!" Harry almost jumped with joy when he heard the news.
"Did the presiding judge say how Peter should be punished?" Ivan was curious about this.
"Of course, Peter will"
Hermione was about to speak, but someone spoke before her.
"Originally, the Ministry of Magic wanted to imprison him for the rest of his life, but Peter is an Animagus and it is not easy to imprison him. The Ministry of Magic couldn't send an Auror to keep an eye on him every day, so it decided to give him a Dementor's kiss after seven days. !”
Everyone turned around and looked over when they heard the sound, but Sirius walked in from outside, and the shackles that originally bound his hands had been removed.
Although Sirius still looked a little gray due to being imprisoned before, his face was filled with a smile.
"Sirius, congratulations, you are finally free!" Ivan congratulated him.
"Thank you, Hals!" Sirius was very grateful. He learned about what Ivan had done in the past few months from Dumbledore, Harry and others.
Sirius knew very well that his success in overturning the case was largely due to this little wizard.
Otherwise, he would probably have to worry about being hunted down by the Ministry of Magic every day. At most, he would just have to sneak into Hogwarts and kill Peter with some luck, but there would be no way for the truth to come out.
Ivan waved his hand, telling Sirius not to worry, that he was just fulfilling his previous agreement, and then said jokingly. "Besides, I took a Firebolt from you, so of course I have to do something."
"Hahaha, if you like it, I'll buy a few more for you!" With his charges cleared, Sirius looked a little satisfied, as if he didn't care about money at all.
