Chapter 302 Quidditch Team
The four of them ate lunch together in the great hall and discussed Hagrid's magical creatures class in the afternoon.
Harry was a little worried that Hagrid would make a mess of the class. He had already had this hunch when he bought the "Monster Book of Monsters" in the bookstore.
Several people discussed how to be more active in Hagrid's class so as not to embarrass Hagrid too much.
Harry suddenly remembered something and turned around and said. "By the way, Ivan, Wood asked me to inform you that this Friday evening we will have the first Quidditch training of this school year!"
Ivan paused in playing with the knife and fork, but soon tore off a large piece of steak slowly and replied casually. "I don't plan to participate in this training. I will quit the Quidditch team this year. Please help me tell Wood then."
"What? Ivan, are you quitting the Quidditch team?" Harry shouted in surprise, he couldn't believe his ears.
Harry's voice attracted the attention of the young wizards at the Gryffindor table. George, who was chewing a chicken leg not far away, opened his mouth in surprise and couldn't help but come closer.
"Why? Ivan? Our Gryffindor team can't afford to be without you. We still hope to win this year's Quidditch trophy!"
Harry and Ron also nodded. They also didn't want to see Ivan quit the Quidditch team!
"I need to take too many courses this school year, and I really can't spare the time." Ivan said helplessly.
Although there is such a thing as a time turner, previous experiences clearly tell Ivan that if this thing is abused, it is likely to die due to exhaustion of energy.
This is also the reason why he and Hermione made a schedule. In view of this, Ivan certainly will not spread his limited energy on Quidditch.
After all, it is unlikely that the same achievement will be obtained twice, and the academic points awarded for obtaining the Quidditch trophy are far less fast than attending class.
George and others reluctantly consoled him for a while, but Ivan was very firm.
"The Gryffindor team is already full. It doesn't really matter whether I quit or not. Besides, with Harry as the best seeker, the Gryffindor team can still win!" Ivan refused.
"Ivan has enough things to do recently, don't bother him with Quidditch!" Hermione also stared at them and said in support.
Harry and others had no choice but to give up.
Wood, who got the news not long after, also hurried over. With a straight face, he wanted to forcefully persuade Ivan to participate in Friday's training camp.
But before that, Ivan took out his class schedule for this year and handed it to Wood.
After the latter saw it, he was speechless for a long time and almost thought that he had seen it wrong.
It wasn't until Ivan said that he could check with Professor McGonagall and Hermione took out her class schedule that Wood believed it.
Ivan was already so busy that he had to take several classes at the same time. Naturally, he was too embarrassed to ask Ivan to play Quidditch again. In the end, he had no choice but to pat Ivan on the shoulder with pity and leave in frustration.
After solving a troublesome matter, Ivan slowly breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that Wood would force him to participate in this year's Quidditch, which would be more troublesome.
After lunch, the group of people took their books and walked outside the castle, preparing for the first Care of Magical Creatures lesson.
Due to the previous interference from the Dementors, the sky above Hogwarts always looked gloomy, but today it was a rare day with good weather, and the dense dark clouds dispersed.
Halfway through, Harry and Ron complained about the noisy monster book in their hands. Even though they had tied the book tightly with a rope, it could not calm them down every moment.
Hermione had already sealed the biting mouth of the Monster Book with magic tape, then wrapped it in a piece of cloth and held it against her chest, but the book still wanted to break out of her arms angrily.
"Ivan, why are your books so obedient?" Hermione looked at Ivan with some confusion. He also held the same book in his hand, but it stayed quietly in his hand.
"As long as you know how to deal with their weaknesses and stroke the back of the book, they will be obedient." Ivan looked at Hermione and others who were in a hurry and explained.
Hermione complied with the instructions in confusion, and ran her fingers down the back of the book. The violent monster book trembled suddenly, and immediately stopped making noises.
"Great, it really works!" Ron also gave it a try with hesitation, and then said in surprise. He even opened the book, but the book didn't mean to bite him.
"Ivan, how did you know this method?" Ron asked curiously. He bet that even the salesmen at Liheng Bookstore didn't know this method.
Because when he and Harry claimed to buy two monster books, the store clerk there almost cried. It was said that some people were bitten while buying the books.
"Someone has solidified magic such as item activation in this book. As long as you find the weakest node of the magic, you can temporarily interrupt the effect of this magic!" Ivan said aloud.
Since the fusion of the two bloodlines, Ivan's perception has become much sharper than before. In addition, his alchemy level is very high, so it is easy to see the production principle of this monster book.
Obviously the author of this book also has a bad taste.
"Really, I don't know what bastard would use this method to make a magic book," Ron cursed.
While chatting like this, Ivan and others soon saw Hagrid's hut, which was unusually lively. About forty or fifty people came. It seemed that this kind of extracurricular course was very popular.
But the Slytherin students were also here, and Harry even saw Malfoy, which made his originally good mood turn a bit worse.
The tall Hagrid stood upright at the door of the hut. He was wearing the moleskin coat and looked very excited as he counted the heads. When he saw that everyone had arrived, he waved to the little wizards. Go to the Forbidden Forest.
The young wizards were both worried and a little hopeful, because Dumbledore emphasized the dangers of the Forbidden Forest every school year.
The big hunting dog Yaya stuck out his tongue and followed them all the way.
Fortunately, Hagrid knew what was going on and didn't really take them on a day trip to the Forbidden Forest. Instead, he walked around the edge of the forest. A few minutes later, he came to the outside of a small paddock.
"Everyone, come together!" Hagrid's loud voice made the little wizards nearby pick their ears.
After seeing everyone move closer, Hagrid shouted again.
"Yes, that's it! First you need to open the textbook - let me see who of you has subdued these little cuties."
