Chapter 171 Letter From the Knights of Merlin

The next day, Ivan came to the auditorium early to enjoy the first breakfast of school.

Harry and Ron looked a little absent-minded. They always felt that something bad was going to happen. It was not until Neville greeted them that they responded.

Hermione on the side was very angry about their adventure yesterday, and the expression on her face was not very good.

Not long after, there was a whirring sound outside the hall. Ivan looked up and saw a large number of owls pouring in from outside the castle. They flew to their respective goals and delivered letters and items to the long tables of the four major colleges. .

Nearly half of the owls flew towards Ivan, and some of them were crowded and bumped into each other during the flight. A large number of envelopes fell from the sky, scattering everywhere.

Ivan frowned and stretched out his wand to knock. All the envelopes that fell on the ground flew over and piled up in front of him. They were so tall that they even blocked his sight.

This abnormal phenomenon quickly attracted the attention of many young wizards.

"Wow! So many letters? Who sent them to you?" Hermione asked curiously.

"It should be an order for Wolfsbane potion, right?" Ivan said casually, and then continued. "It's strange that I asked them to send the order to the store."

Picking up one of the letters, Ivan hesitated for a moment. He found that this envelope was different from the others. It had a white background with gold edges and a strange circular pattern painted in the center.

The signature is Richard Gorshak, a name I have never heard of

Ivan became interested, opened the envelope, and looked at it.

[Dear Mr. Hals:

Since the wolfsbane potion you invented has improved the living conditions of werewolf wizards and made outstanding contributions to the magical world, we are happy to inform you that you have been selected into the Order of Merlin and will soon become the smallest recipient of the second-level Order of Merlin in the millennium!

According to the proposal of your nominator, His Excellency Albus Dumbledore, after the investigation is completed, we will send a dedicated person to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to issue you the Second Class Merlin Medal!

Leader: Richard Gorshak (Grand Leader of the Knights of Merlin, Vice President of the International Federation of Magic, and recipient of the First Class Order of Merlin)

Yours sincerely! 】

"It seems to be a letter from the Knights of Merlin." Ivan shrugged and handed the envelope to the curious Hermione beside him.

Hermione said happily after checking the contents of the envelope.

"Congratulations Ivan!"

Ivan nodded, but he was thinking about other things.

He estimated that he should be able to gain legendary value when the medals were handed out this time. After all, receiving the Merlin Medal had a much greater impact than his petty troubles in school last school year.

Even though the awarding of medals was delayed until around Halloween, and it was still held at Hogwarts, I didn't know what Dumbledore meant.

However, in Ivan's view, the Knights of Merlin are quite rigorous in their work.

He actually planned to spend several months tracking and investigating the effects of the Wolfsbane potion, and producing a report on the survival status of the werewolf wizard to evaluate his contribution to the magic world.

As for the other envelopes, they contained some ordinary contents. Ivan just flipped through them casually. Most of them were letters from fans, mostly werewolf wizards.

For the remaining letters, Ivan guessed that they might have been sent by wizards who hated or opposed werewolves.

Because it is full of threatening and insulting words, and bluntly states that werewolves are extremely evil existences, and only by eradicating all werewolves can this trouble be completely solved.

Ivan was too lazy to pay attention to these idiots and crumpled the two letters into a ball and prepared to throw them into the trash can.

Harry and Ron also came together at this time, wanting to read the letter from the Grand Master of the Knights of Merlin.

But before Harry could say anything, he saw that in addition to a pile of envelopes, there was a newspaper on the table.

The headline on the cover shows a picture of a magical car driving through the city sky, and two figures can be vaguely seen in the car.

"Oh my God, Ron, we reported it!" Harry said in shock.

In fact, he didn't need to remind him. Ron's eyes had already been fixed on the newspaper, with a bit of fear in his eyes. He suddenly felt that the trouble might be bigger than they imagined.

Above the head, a slightly trembling owl flew over, holding a red letter in its mouth. It flapped its wings feebly and flew very slowly, making people worry about whether this owl will fly in the next moment. Suddenly fell down.

Fortunately, the gray-black owl finally completed its task and delivered the thing to Ron, although it crashed into Hermione's milk jug after that.

Ivan immediately pulled Hermione back a few meters away and covered his ears tightly.

"What's wrong?" Hermione asked curiously.

"That's a roaring letter. I advise you to be like me!" Ivan turned to look at her and reminded her.

Although the little witch didn't know what was going on, she still followed Ivan's example and blocked her ears. The Gryffindors who knew about it also ran away.

Harry swallowed and looked at Ron in horror. He had seen the power of a roaring letter last semester, and the sound could even wake up the entire Gryffindor lounge.

Ron's expression was also very ugly. He looked like he was about to cry as he slowly opened the envelope with trembling fingers.

Ron originally planned to destroy the shouting letter or simply throw it into the lake.

But Neville stopped Ron because doing so would have more serious consequences!

Anyway, don’t ask him how he knew.

As soon as Ron tore a small opening in the envelope, the letter moved on its own and folded into a big red mouth. The loud voice immediately echoed in the large exhibition hall, and the two people closest to it felt their ears. Almost going deaf!

"Ron! How could you have the guts to do such a thing without telling us?! Huh? You actually drove that magic car to school without permission!"

"I wouldn't be surprised at all if they fire you for this. Let's see how I deal with you then. You probably haven't thought about how your father and I felt when we found out that the car was gone..."

Mrs. Weasley's voice was usually very loud. After the shouting letter was amplified hundreds of times, the sound waves formed even made the cups on the table jingle.

Everyone in the Great Hall heard it clearly and wanted to see who had received the roaring letter. Harry and Ron were ashamed to death under the gaze of everyone.

Being executed in public is not a pleasant feeling, not to mention that Arthur may be expelled from the Ministry of Magic because of their involvement!

The roar lasted for more than ten minutes before it stopped, and then the envelope burned on its own and turned into ashes.
