Chapter 97 I know him (twelfth update, please subscribe~)
Fifteen Galleons.
This was the price agreed upon by the two of them after a heated exchange of words.
The Aurors were responsible for protecting Harry to King's Cross Station, and Scrimgeour had to pay Harry.
September 1st.
Under the nervous escort of the Aurors, he was first driven through the fireplace to the Leaky Cauldron, and then drove straight to King's Cross Station from here, and was even kindly dropped off at the Cross Station.
A short woman with a stiff appearance, an exaggerated perm, and beetle-like glasses held up a camera and kept taking pictures of Harry.
The camera wanted to shove it into Harry's face.
It wasn't until the train was about to leave that Harry was able to get away.
The short woman sighed in disappointment. She had only taken two rolls of film.
It is quite difficult to put together a photo album.
"They are really exaggerating." Seeing that Harry was finally able to escape, Hermione couldn't help but complain. She and Ron had been waiting for him at the door.
"It's hard to make money." Harry sighed.
"Money, what money?" Ron has always been very sensitive to this kind of topic.
Harry looked at the slowly retreating Aurors outside and answered him: "Fifteen gold galleons for cooperating with the Aurors in such a play."
Ron swallowed his saliva and was very excited: "That way you can earn fifteen Galleons?"
"That's Harry!" Hermione said angrily, waving her wand and holding up their luggage, "If it were you, you'd pay fifteen galleons, and none of them would do that."
Ron muttered: "That's not necessarily the case. Ministry of Magic officials are short of money."
Hermione was stunned, looked at Ron, thought of his family background, and nodded in agreement.
The train moves slowly.
They walked deeper and got on the bus too late. The carriage was crowded with students. It was not until the back of the bus that they found a carriage with only one person.
Inside was an adult wizard, sleeping soundly against the window sill.
They walked in quietly.
After sitting down, I could see more clearly how this man was dressed. The robe was clean but very old, and it was still patched - this was almost unbelievable for a wizard.
Even if you can't afford a new robe, you can still repair it with magic.
He was quite handsome, but his complexion was pale and weak, and his figure was thin, making him look sickly.
"Isn't this a student train?" Ron lowered his voice, "Who is he?"
"Professor R.J. Lupin," Hermione replied.
Ron was stunned and a little surprised: "How do you know?" Even if Harry answered this question, he wouldn't be so surprised.
Hermione said nothing and raised her hand to point to the luggage rack.
Ron looked over and saw that next to their luggage, there was a box that was as worn as Professor Lupin's. The corners were full of signs of wear and tear.
The signature of "R.J. Lupin" is printed on the corner of the box.
Ron looked at him again and looked at him carefully: "Our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor? He is quite good-looking. He must be someone like Lockhart again."
"No." Harry shook his head and looked at Lupine with a deep look, "He might be a qualified professor."
Lupine's ears twitched while he was "sleeping".
"But he looks too thin." Ron muttered. "It feels like the troll could smash him with one stick..."
Hermione glared over.
Ron sighed: "Okay, okay, I hope he can do it. We haven't had a good Defense Against the Dark Arts class in two years. In the entire grade, no one can get an 'O' except Harry."
Hermione gritted her teeth, somewhat unwillingly. She turned her head and looked at Harry, who was still staring at Lupin: "Harry, do you know this professor?"
"I've heard his name, but never met him." Harry replied softly.
Lupine's ears twitched again.
Hermione frowned and tried to remember: "Is Professor Lupin famous? I don't seem to have seen him in books."
"He's my dad's friend." Harry waved his hand.
Lupine's breathing became rapid.
"That's right." Hermione nodded, "Then he should be a very good wizard."
Harry nodded: "My grandpa mentioned many things about him. He has self-esteem, is excellent, and works hard."
Lupine's breath suddenly stopped, but his heart beat even harder.
"Then we have a reliable professor this year. I really hope..." Ron slumped back, looked at Lupine who was very close to him, and breathed a sigh of relief.
But the words are not finished yet.
Harry took out his wand, touched the hilt of the sword behind his back with his right hand, stood up with squinted eyes, and finally his eyes fell on Lupine.
"Harry, what's wrong?" Hermione hugged Crookshanks, a little frightened.
Harry lifted the amulet from his chest. It hummed slightly.
"What is this?" Hermione wondered.
Ron explained: "This is a gift from Bill to Harry. It can detect the malicious intent of the targeted owner."
Lupine had to open his eyes. He waved his hands and said in a gentle tone: "Relax, Harry, I mean no harm to you."
The amulet gradually became quiet.
Hermione pointed Crookshanks at Lupin. The half-breed cat snorted and fell asleep without any reaction.
Harry sat back slowly, tilted his body, and pulled Crookshanks over: "Sorry for disturbing your sleep."
Lu Ping shook his head: "It's okay, I've had enough rest."
Ron frowned and looked at the amulet: "Is this thing broken?"
"Shall I ask Bill to change one for you?"
Harry tried to remember everything in the carriage just now: "No, there should be no problem with the amulet."
The amulet was vibrating when I saw Malfoy at the train station.
Seeing other people, the amulet is peaceful.
The person who had ill intentions toward him was probably not Lu Ping. He woke up early in the morning, just as his group entered the carriage.
If he had any ill intentions, he would show them early on.
Is it because...
Is he afraid that the identity of the "werewolf" will be discovered?
"Harry, I...I didn't expect you to know about me." Lupine lowered his head and stammered, "I'm sorry, I haven't visited in these years..."
"No need to apologize, Professor Lupin." Harry shook his head and tried, "I can understand everything Grandpa told me about you."
Lu Ping was stunned, his heart in his throat: "Everything?"
Harry nodded: "Everything."
Lu Ping smiled bitterly: "This is really..."
The amulet was quiet and motionless.
"Compared with Tom and Lockhart, you are already very good." Harry comforted him, "After all, Professor Dumbledore knew from the beginning."
"Tom?" Lupine was a little confused, "But I remember your first-year professor was not Quirrell..."
"Tom is Voldemort." Harry explained for him, "Quirrell was possessed by Voldemort at the time."
"It was pretty much the same last year."
"Tom brought chaos to Hogwarts."
Lupine tilted his head back. He had never heard Dumbledore mention any of these things.
Compared to the Ups and Downs Demon, he is really not a big trouble.
