Chapter 180: The Sudden Appearance of Fan Lin
"Mr. Potter, please follow me," Tom said, "I have moved all your things up."
Harry followed Tom up a beautiful wooden staircase and came to a room with a brass plate on the door indicating number 11. Tom unlocked the door for Harry and opened it.
There was a comfortable-looking bed in the room, some very shiny oak furniture, a crackling fire in the fireplace, and standing on the top of the wardrobe... "Hedwig!" Harry exclaimed in surprise. The snow-white owl's beak clicked and then flew to Harry's shoulder.
"Your owl is amazing." Tom chuckled, "It flew here about five minutes after you got here. If you need anything, Mr. Potter, tell me right away."
He bowed again and left.
Only then did Fanlin really feel relieved. He broke free from Harry's hand, jumped to the ground, and quickly returned to his original appearance.
"Damn it, Harry! You grabbed my neck!" Fanlin roared in dissatisfaction. He wanted to make some water balls and hit Harry hard, just like in Hogwarts.
"Fan...Fanlin..." Harry was obviously a little scared. He didn't understand why Fanlin suddenly appeared here, although he wanted Fanlin to appear...
"Are you the ferret?" Harry was surprised, "This is really cool, what is the name of your spell... It's the same as Professor McGonagall."
"Animagus..." Fanlin frowned, "A kind of advanced Transfiguration, you will probably be able to perform it when you are in the fifth grade, I will help you then, but..."
Fanlin glared at Harry, "None of this matters, you grabbed my neck and lifted me up, it hurts, and... What is a big rat..."
"Sorry..." Harry smiled awkwardly, he only regarded Fanlin as an ordinary ferret at first.
"How did you get here..." Harry asked, "I mean, how did you bump into me last night, what happened, and the black dog last night..."
"Don't think too much, Harry..." This time it was Fanlin's turn to be embarrassed. He thought for a while and explained, "I was practicing my Animagus Transfiguration, and then, you know, even though I have more magic power than you, this spell is too consuming. I can't change back, so I just want to walk around as a ferret, so I chose to come and see you..."
"Then what? How does it feel to become an animal?" Harry asked hurriedly.
"That's it..." Fanlin curled his lips, "It's much faster than humans and more flexible..."
"Then you..."
"I was being chased by a wild dog..." Fanlin said reluctantly.
"Wild dog?" Harry obviously remembered something, he didn't make fun of Fanlin. "Was it last night..."
"Calm down, Harry!" Fanlin said. He knew what Harry wanted to ask, but before the matter was completely clear, Fanlin did not intend to tell Harry anything. In fact, Fanlin did not believe in Harry's luck, and Harry's greatest luck before was the spell cast on him by Lily.
But the spell will be broken one day after all. One's own strength is the truth. Of course, there are various indispensable things, but unfortunately, Harry does not have the ability to face Voldemort directly now, and Harry's impulsive personality makes Fanlin unsure whether Harry will do something stupid after knowing the incident.
"It's just a hungry stray dog. You know, ferrets can't fight that kind of thing. It's really a nasty stray dog..." Fanlin paused quietly, and then Fanlin completely dispelled Harry's idea of exploring further with words.
"I thought..."
"Sirius Black?" Fan Lin said, "Don't worry, Harry, I believe... uh... Although the efficiency of the Ministry of Magic has always been very touching, they are still very concerned about this matter..."
"That's right!" Harry nodded, "But I'm still very happy to see you, my friend!"
"Me too..." The two laughed, and then Harry remembered a very important thing.
Harry looked at Fan Lin with difficulty. Fan Lin was stretching his muscles. He was exhausted after running around all night.
"What's wrong, Harry?" Fan Lin asked, Harry looked very strange.
"Fanlin, you know..." Harry was embarrassed, "The Dursleys forbade me to touch magic during the holidays. They put away all the magic-related things. Every night I could only take out some of them secretly in the middle of the night when they fell asleep, and then use the light of the wand..."
"Harry..." Fanlin sympathized, "You should be glad that Hermione is not here. If she were here, she would force you to write from morning to night."
"Please, Potions, Transfiguration, Ancient History and so on are far from being completed. There are still two weeks, and I still need to purchase. I don't know a lot of things..."
Harry looked pitiful, "I will definitely figure these out..."
"I believe you, Harry!" Fanlin patted Harry's shoulder sympathetically. If it was Ron, Fanlin would definitely not believe it if he heard Ron say that.
Snape's description of Ron is not without basis at all. In contrast to the know-it-all series of Fanlin and Hermione, Ron is a representative figure of the empty-headed school.
"Dobby!"
Fan Lin called out, and not long after, the worried house elf appeared in front of Fan Lin.
"Oh, Master Fanlin, Dobby has finally found you..." Dobby said.
"Master?" Harry asked doubtfully, this seemed very strange.
"I can't help it. I asked him to change his name..." Fan Lin said helplessly.
Harry nodded, he knew Dobby's character very well.
"Mr. Harry Potter!" Dobby bowed politely to Harry.
"Hello, Dobby," Harry responded.
"Okay, Harry..." Fan Lin looked at the clock in the room. It was not completely bright yet, and he had to go back before Mr. Al woke up.
"I don't have time anymore. I'm going back with Dobby now. I need a good rest. I think you do too..." Fan Lin said, holding Dobby's hand with one hand.
"That's right..." Harry nodded, he was indeed very tired.
"Well, goodbye Harry," Fan Lin said quickly, "In the afternoon, I will ask Dobby to send over his summer homework. I think you will be almost awake by then..."
Harry nodded, and with Fanlin's approval, Dobby snapped his fingers and apparated back to Fanlin's home with Fanlin. (To be continued)
