Chapter 110 The Petrified Cat
"I'm hungry... I want to eat..."
A sudden voice emerged from Harry's mind. This voice is very familiar, Harry has heard it before.
"Blood... I smell fresh..."
Harry shook his head, as if he wanted to expel the voice from his mind, but it was useless.
"What's wrong, Harry!" Fanlin noticed Harry's unusual movement, which looked very strange.
"That voice, that voice sounded again, can't you hear it?" Harry asked Fanlin in a low voice. Due to Laura's presence, it was difficult for Harry to talk about this matter.
"If you mean Sir Nicholas, I think you can hear it clearly even at the banquet." Fanlin replied disapprovingly.
"No... Not this, the voice that I said that day appeared in Gilderoy Lockhart's office." Harry was particularly irritated at this time, and it seemed that this voice tortured Harry.
"No, he's going to kill someone... I heard the hunger in his words," Harry suddenly came to his senses, "Let's go, Fanlin..."
"Harry..." Fanlin looked at Harry, whose face suddenly changed and ran out, and he also felt that something bad was going to happen.
"Sorry..." Fanlin hurriedly apologized to Laura, "Harry is a little uncomfortable, so we won't attend Sir Nicholas's dinner here with you. If there is a chance, we will continue."
Reluctantly smiling at Laura, Laura's face seemed to be even paler. Laura gently shook her head and indicated that it was okay. Fanlin couldn't wait to pull Hermione and Ron to chase Harry out.
"What... happened... Fanlin," Hermione panted, "Why did Harry... suddenly run out."
"I don't know." Fanlin said quickly, "But something bad must have happened. We can't let Harry go alone."
"Poineme (show me the way)!"
Following the guidance of the wand, Fanlin and the other two kept walking through the corridors of Hogwarts. Due to the delay of some time, Harry's trace had long been out of sight, and they had no choice but to move forward according to the instructions of the wand.
Running all the way, Fanlin did not hear the murderous voice in Harry's mouth, but with their footsteps, a sound of stepping on water kept echoing in the corridors of Hogwarts.
"Is the drainage system...completely...broken?" Ron complained dissatisfiedly while wiping the splashes on his face.
Unconsciously, the water under their feet became thicker and thicker, and it was about half an inch high.
"Harry!" Fanlin shouted. Just after turning a corner, Fanlin saw Harry standing by a wall in a daze.
But Fanlin soon knew what Harry was looking at.
On the wall with two windows, the foot-sized words painted on it glowed faintly under the flickering torch.
I don't know who wrote the letters. Although Fanlin hoped that it was red paint, the bloody smell in the air told Fanlin that it must be the blood of something.
The letters have turned dark red and look like they have been written for a while, but it should not be long ago. Some bloodstains are still flowing down the wall.
"Who did this?" Fanlin frowned and looked at the letters on the wall carefully. "The mysterious secret room has been opened. Descendants of the enemy, be careful. "
"What is this - hanging below? "Ron said with a trembling voice.
They moved slowly, and Ron almost slipped: there was a large puddle of water on the floor. Vanlin and Hermione hurriedly supported Ron.
The three approached Harry, staring at a black mass not far in front of Harry. They immediately recognized what it was and quickly jumped back at the same time.
Mrs. Norris, the cat of the administrator, her tail hung on the torch bucket, her body was as stiff as a board, and her eyes were wide open.
They froze there for several seconds. Then Ron said with some fear, "Harry, leave here."
"Harry?" Vanlin called out, and Harry was a little distracted. Perhaps because the scene was too weird and terrifying, the atmosphere became extremely quiet for a while.
"Ah..."
Ron suddenly screamed, which stimulated everyone's nervous nerves.
"What's wrong, Ron..." Vanlin took out his wand and kept scanning around, but nothing appeared.
"Spider... Spider," Ron was almost about to collapse, "So many spiders. "
Following the direction of Ron's finger, there was a window leading to the outside. Groups of spiders were struggling to crawl out, as if they couldn't wait to leave this place.
"Ron..." Hermione yelled in anger. She was so scared just now that she almost screamed with Ron.
"Sorry..." Ron said a little short-circuited, "I'm really afraid of this thing."
After Ron's shock, Harry seemed to have regained the ability to speak, and the voice in his mind gradually faded until it disappeared.
"We should try to help Mrs. Norris." Harry stuttered, he hadn't completely recovered yet.
"Finite Incatatem!"
Fanlin tapped Mrs. Norris lightly with his wand, but it was useless. Mrs. Norris was petrified so thoroughly that Fanlin's spell had no effect at all.
"Maybe we should leave here." Hermione said worriedly. The four of them quietly left the Halloween party and appeared here. There were words written in blood on the wall, plus a cat that was completely petrified. If someone saw this, the four of them would definitely not have any good consequences.
But it was too late. A few thunderous noises in the distance told them that the banquet was over. At both ends of the corridor where they were, footsteps were heard going up the stairs. The well-fed people talked loudly and happily. After a while, classmates poured in from both ends.
When everyone saw the cat hanging upside down, the chattering and footsteps, all the sounds stopped. Harry, Ron, Vanlin and Hermione stood in the middle of the corridor. Everyone quietly leaned forward to look at the horrible words on the wall.
In the silence, someone shouted.
"Descendants of the enemy, beware! You are the next target, a person of mudblood descent!"
Draco Malfoy walked out of the crowd. His cold eyes were shining, and his usually bloodless face turned red. He stared at the hanging cat and grinned. (To be continued)
