Rise of the Wasteland

Chapter 467: Ideological Education

Usserman walked by a portable boiler, adding wood to the boiler, his eyes fixed on a plate of tortillas on the boiler. ?Hunting?????Beside her are several Mexicans, all beaming and discussing the movie they just watched. She really didn't understand, at what time, these compatriots of hers were still thinking about movies.

As a seventeen-year-old Mexican girl, Usserman was the first female member of the Mexican Liberation Front. She was originally a tomboy in a gang, and she made a living by delivering special couriers to various bosses.

After the cataclysm, Utherman survived by relying on the cautiousness he developed in the gang. She always acts alone, finds some inconspicuous places to store all kinds of survival supplies, and watches with cold eyes the rapid sinking of Mexico, which has lost government control.

When the weather suddenly turned cold, when food became less and less, and when there were no people in the wilderness, Utherman's life became more and more difficult. She put her temporary home in the abandoned town of Mascano. One day, when she went out to look for food but found nothing, she came back and found that there were many people in her family. A large tub of corn tortillas was warming up.

The girl didn't care what happened at home, she took a chance to grab a tortilla and ran away. As a result, more than a dozen people in the room yelled to arrest her, and even dispatched armored vehicles to chase her. When she was caught, she was still desperately stuffing the tortilla into her mouth, then curled up and waited to be beaten.

But Usserman's imaginary fists and kicks didn't come down, a young man stopped the person who tried to beat her, and pulled her up and said to the others: "Have you forgotten Mr. Hugo's teaching? We should be in solidarity with each other, not fighting each other. The girl is obviously starving, so it is our duty to help her."

Usserman joined the "Mexican Liberation Front" in such a daze. The person who rescued her asked her origin and name, and then comforted her to stay and fight for a just cause together. She later learned that the activist was named Nieto.

What a "just cause" is too confusing, but it is true that there is enough to eat. Usserman thought of himself as part of a strange guerrilla group and carefully tried to understand the organization.

"What's the name of our head?" Usserman asked the group.

"His name is Nieto, and he is under Mr. Victor Hugo." The partners in the team were also happy to share their knowledge.

"Does that mean we have a bigger head?"

"Yes, we belong to the 'Aurora Legion'. Our real leader is Victor Hugo, and he is a big man."

"Okay, it's okay. It's nothing more than a small gangster under the big gangster,

I've seen this kind of thing a lot. Usserman felt that she could still understand the power structure within the organization. But she soon discovered that the organization she joined was very different.

The "Mexican Liberation Front" is not idle all day, in fact everyone is very busy. During the day, everyone is organized to work, and they have to learn how to fight when they have free time, and at night, there are tasks of ideological study waiting for everyone.

If it is understandable to learn combat, then it is very difficult for the Mexicans in the organization to understand cultural knowledge.

"Study?" Usserman hasn't been to school for a day since she was a child. She is actually an out-and-out illiterate, but this doesn't affect her in the society at all. "It's the end of the world now, why do you still need to study?"

American Latino learning, hehehe..., don't laugh! We cannot discriminate against people.

But in fact, Latinos, like Africans, are notoriously not fond of going to school. Ordinary people among them are honest, hard-working, uneducated, desperate to have children, and then live a simple and happy life.

But in the "Mexican Liberation Front", this was overturned. People with poor academic performance have no food to eat, and this alone forces people in the organization to study hard.

Usserman met Victor Hugo once, and she remembered a sentence from the other party: People with chaotic thoughts have no fighting power. You need to understand why you are fighting? I don't actually require you to have much knowledge, but at least you must be able to obey my command.

In fact, no one understood Victor Hugo's words at the time, at least not Usserman. But still in order to have enough food, the girl had to study every day.

There are no textbooks, teaching materials, or even a suitable classroom. The "Mexican Liberation Front" often has to go around in circles with the "Enclave", and the teaching time is not even sure. Sometimes even the classmates are not fixed, some people will sacrifice, some will flee, and some will rebel.

But as long as there is time, evening teaching is essential. In the beginning, everyone listened to Mr. Hugo speaking on stage, and then other people would give lectures. Students just listen for a long time, but every time before the get out of class ends, they must ask questions by name, and those who can't answer the questions will be miserable.

Usserman was smart and had a good memory. She was never fined as long as she answered questions by name. But she didn't know anything about the 'nation', 'freedom', 'glory' and 'sacrificing one's life for the ideal' in class, and she didn't even agree with it.

But it doesn't matter, just memorize it by rote. The point is that the girl likes the ease of playing a movie while studying. No matter what movie is playing, she will watch it with wide eyes.

And the entertainment in the last days is almost zero, why watch a movie if you can't eat enough? But this is different in the 'Mexican Liberation Front', as long as you work hard and eat enough.

And to eat a full stomach, people naturally need to satisfy their spiritual needs, so watching movies has become a great enjoyment. And being able to watch movies is still a kind of reward, only for the best people. So Usserman always tried his best to make himself outstanding.

Slowly, more than a month after joining the 'Mo Jiezhen', Nieto approached him one day and said: "Userman, you will be the classroom teacher starting today. Mr. Hugo thinks that you have learned well and can teach others Attend class."

What? !

"I came to class?" Usserman really didn't understand why he became a teacher? She hesitated and asked, "Mr. Hugo won't give us lessons?"

"How can Mr. Hugo keep teaching us? He is our legion commander, and he has more important affairs." Nieto also gave Usserman a few books, "This is the textbook printed by our 'Aurora Legion'. You will follow the instructions above from now on.”

"Ideological and Political Education in the Last Days", "How to Promote a Correct Outlook on Life, World Outlook, and Values", "Quotes from the Great Leader Victor Hugo", these books are poorly printed and have wrong bindings. They are "Aurora Legion" from Cuba. It was brought in when the supplies were brought in.

These books are difficult for Usserman to read by herself, let alone teach others. She almost cried and asked, "You really asked me to teach? In fact, I don't understand myself."

"It doesn't matter if you don't understand, as long as you can let others understand." Nieto has no room for flexibility. "This is the trust in you from the organization. You must do well. Otherwise, you will go to the front line to fight with other fighters."

What he said was exactly the same as when Victor Hugo was in class, and Usserman shrank his head in fright. She was naturally unwilling to join the front-line combat troops. It was safer to be a classroom teacher, "Okay, I agree."

With just such a nod, the seventeen-year-old girl embarked on a completely different path. On the reward list of "Enclave", Victor Hugo always ranked first, while Usserman's name never fell out of the top ten. If the ranking is based on the degree of hatred of the top management of the 'Enclave', Usserman is even higher than Victor Hugo.

"Utherman is a demagogue."

"This evil witch encouraged countless young Mexicans to join the 'Ink Liberation Array' and built her throne with corpses and blood."

"If it weren't for Usserman's efficient propaganda, it would be impossible for the 'Ink Solution Formation' to grow. The degree of danger of this woman is far stronger than we imagined."

And Zhou Qingfeng said: I finally found someone to replace me, so I don't have to lecture to a bunch of idiots!

No matter how much her enemies hated her in the future, seventeen-year-old Usserman is still just a poor little girl who is hungry and dizzy. That day, she stumbled back to her doomsday nest, saw a bowl of delicious tortillas and jumped on it. The girl had one thought at the time, "No matter what, I must eat enough before I die." (To be continued.)
